8. Eomma? Appa?
"Ji-hu, baby, go and play with Kookie. I got some work with Jinnie. And don't leave Kookie's hand, okay?" Yoongi said cutely which made the little fluff ball nod his head vigorously.
"Kookie, let's go~" Ji-hu sang cutely as he held Jungkook's hand, dragging him out of Yoongi's studio.
Once the duo closed the door behind them, Yoongi sighed as he looked at Jin, who had a suspicious look on his face. He lifted his brow and casually shook his head as if to question, 'What?'
"The guy I'd been avoiding all this time was Taehyung," Yoongi said, causing Jin's eyes to widen.
Until now, Jin had been working through all of the conceivable explanations in his head for why Yoongi despised Taehyung so much. But he suspected that Taehyung was a highly energetic man and that might have made Yoongi dislike him. He had never considered that this could be the actual reason.
"Yoongi, are you sure? You might be-"
"Do you think I wouldn't know? Would I go around hating random people? Why do you think I hated Taehyung all this time?" Yoongi inquired, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"It's okay! He won't know about anything, right?" Jin responded with a hesitant tone.
"He met Ji-hu already. Moreover, he met Jia too in the café."Yoongi sighed as he remembered that day. He had tried everything he could to keep Jia and Ji-hu hidden, but it had all been in vain.
"At Jia's café? How did he know that it was Jia's café?" Jin almost screamed in a high-pitched voice.
"Hyung, calm down! He didn't know that it was Jia's café. I acted like I had booked the whole café." Yoongi responded. Jin took a deep breath and exhaled a sigh of relief.

The bells hung on the door jingled, signaling someone's arrival.
"Welcom- Abeonim? Eomeonim?" Jia almost screamed, looking at the husband-wife duo that entered the café. She approached them with a wide smile plastered on her face. "I missed you both!" She chirped and hugged both of them together.
"How are you, my daughter?" Her eomeonim asked, hugging the girl tightly.
"I'm fine! Let me look at you both." Jia broke the hug and glanced at the two elders with an excited smile.
The lady was in her mid-fifties. She wore a peach-colored dress that came to her knees and was tall and thin. Her light skin complemented the hue of the clothing.
The man next to her was in his late fifties. He was also tall and thin. He was dressed casually in a loose cream-colored shirt and brown slacks. Jia recognized him by his boxy smile, which reminded her of someone she knew a long time ago.
"Eomeonim, did you lose weight?" Jia inquired, her voice apprehensive.
"She misses you too much." The man replied, a feeble smile on his face as he looked at his wife. He then turned to Jia and said, "Jia, we both miss you. Why don't you return to your home? When you left, Ji-hu was just a year old. We weren't even able to see him grow up properly."
"Mom, dad, let us sit and talk." Jia took her father's hand in hers and led them to a table near the entrance.
She let them sit next to each other before taking a seat directly across from her father. As she gazed at the couple, all of her happy memories flashed before her.
Jia had not expected to meet them in this manner. Her mother didn't always support her, but her in-laws were always more supportive of her than their son. They never made Jia feel like she was not a part of them. They even looked after her while she was expecting Ji-hu. Jia was certain that they were the best in-laws or, as they prefer to be addressed, mom-dad.
"Ji Hyun, come here!" Jia summoned one of the girls who took orders. Jia began placing orders for them as soon as she arrived. "Caffé Latte for mom, Espresso Macchiato for dad, and Iced Mocha for me. Bring a red velvet pastry and chocolate chip cookies too." The girl received the order, bowed, and left the other three behind.
"Even after staying with us just for a year, you know everything about us, don't you? How can you remember everything so well?" Her mom asked with amazement.
"That's where an issue is. I remember things really well." Jia smiled weakly. She considered changing the subject before returning to the past, which she knew would be hurtful to all three of them.
"Anyways, how are you both here in Seoul? Why didn't you call me?" Jia asked politely. "Did you perhaps come to meet him?" She inquired in hushed tones, causing the other two to laugh at the girl's cuteness.
"Who are you talking about, darling? Don't you know we broke all the relations with him?" Jia's father-in-law spoke sternly. He didn't mind Jia interrogating them; he despised the fact that he had raised such a useless and dishonest son.
"Baby, we just came to meet you and Ji-hu. It's been a long time since we've seen you. I know we talk on the phone every day, but meeting in person is something we both desire. We'll go after we've met with him." Her mother-in-law smiled in response.
"No! You'll both be staying with me. Oppa won't have an issue, you both know it well. He loves you more than my mother." Jia sighed, recalling the time when her mother asked Jia not to return home with Ji-hu once she divorced. She didn't have much of a choice except to relocate to Seoul and live with her brother.
