46. I was deceived
Hoseok took the seat in front of Taehyung and Jimin. Taehyung had been trying to calm the pink-haired male who had been crying for a long time. Hoseok felt horrible about the way his sister behaved without knowing the truth, as he assumed.
He sighed and decided to break the silence. "I'm sorry, guys! I never imagined that my sister could be this rude. Also, I didn't know that her best friend is the same Jia as Taehyung's wife." Hoseok sighed another time.
Jimin smiled weakly at the polite man. He looked at Hoseok with his tears-stained cheeks and an honest smile.
"Hyung, you're not at fault. I should have mentioned before that I'm an idol." He wiped his tears and continued, "I had been approached by the girls before because of my popularity. So I thought to not mention it to Yoona before I get to know her well. I had planned to let her know everything once we began dating for real. Hyung~"
Jimin extended his hands in an attempt to reach Hoseok, who quickly grabbed the younger's hands. "I'm sorry, hyung. My intentions weren't wrong. Please don't think that I'm a liar. I didn't lie. I just didn't reveal the truth."
His eyes were flowing rivers. He finally believed that he had found the right person for him and that he could now begin dating for real. But his life had other plans.
"Chim, I'm responsible for everything. She hates me and that's the reason why she-"
Taehyung looked down, feeling guilty. He couldn't even believe that he would be responsible for the break-up of his best friend. How could he look into the broken eyes of Jimin?
Jimin let go of Hoseok's hands and stood up, approaching Taehyung's chair from behind. He hugged his neck and leaned down to kiss his forehead. "Tae, you won't say that ever. Don't blame yourself. If she couldn't listen to my explanation then she isn't worth my heart. You are my baby brother who I grew up with. I can be single for you instead of being with a girl who hates you."
Hoseok smiled as he looked at the adorable sight. He didn't feel bad even a bit when Jimin said those words about his sister because he knew that Yoona was the one who was at fault. She had no right to act the way she did if she didn't know the truth.
"I can talk-"
"No, hyung! I don't want to be with her when she doesn't even want to listen to me. Did she ask me? I don't need her in my life when she can only listen to her brother and not me. I'm sorry hyung, for being blunt. But if she hates Tae, I can't love her."
After hearing his soulmate's words, Taehyung let out a sob. He couldn't imagine his life without Jimin. How could he get so lucky to have a best friend and soulmate like Jimin?
Hoseok nodded and walked up to Taehyung, pulling him up by his shoulders and hugging him. Jimin hugged Taehyung's back and they stood there like that till his sobs died down.
It should have been Jimin in Taehyung's place because he needed love and support more at the moment than Taehyung. But being an innocent naïve baby made him the one to be at the receiving end every time.

"Jia, the guy that I went on a blind date was Taehyung's best friend. Can you imagine? I was deceived!" Yoona revealed as she sat in front of Jia in the latter's café.
"Do you mean Jimin?" Jia asked with wide eyes. She never imagined that the guy who she secretly hoped to be the best one for her friend was none other than her ex-husband's best friend.
"Yes! I know it's shocking. I kind of broke up with him. What does he think of himself? Moreover, he lied. He didn't even tell that he was an idol." Yoona scoffed as she folded her arms over her chest.
"Did you ask him if he was an idol or related to Tae?" Jia asked politely, catching the other off-guard. She shook her head in denial with a soft expression.
Jia pulled out her hands. At first, Yoona was confused, but she got was the other wanted. She held Jia's hands. "Yoona, why are you ruining your relationship because of me? You both have hardly met; let alone the fact that he would share everything. Also, let me ask you something. Have you revealed that you were Riko?"
Yoona soon looked down, getting the point. She felt guilty. She was equally at fault and she felt ashamed to judge Jimin when she herself was no saint.
"See, that's my point. When you both met, these details must have been irrelevant then. So it's not like either one of you is wrong." Jia rubbed her thumb over the back of Yoona's hands and the latter's eyes welled up.
"I fucked up big this time," Yoona spoke in between her sobs. She had always been a mature and sorted girl, and so, both the girls never imagined that Yoona would be the one to behave on her impulse.
"Yes, you did. Moreover, you know that I was equally at fault if we talk about my relationship with Tae. I was the one who broke our relationship and not the other way round. I still haven't given him a proper chance to explain." Jia sighed as Yoona looked up to her with her tears-stained cheeks.
"You still love him, don't you?" Yoona questioned after noticing how she had been referring to Taehyung as "Tae" even after all these years.
Jia simply nodded but sighed heavily, because she knew she won't be able to do anything about it.
They sat there in comfortable silence, cursing their own selves how they had ruined their happily ever after.

Yoona reached her brother's house to apologize for the way she behaved with Hoseok's guests. She might be related to Jimin, but still, he was her brother's guest today and not her date when she met.
She took deep breaths before knocking on the door of Hoseok's office. Once she received a small "Come in," she walked in while looking down.
Hoseok was fuming in anger when he saw the figure. "What do you want now?" He asked a little harshly which made Yoona flinch.
Hoseok was always a positive person who would always wear a smile, no matter what. Also, he was always polite to his sister, because he loved her dearly. It was the first time when he raised his voice at her. He hated to do this, but he had to. After all, he was an elder brother of a stubborn girl.
"I'm sorry!" She apologized lowly, not daring to look up at her brother.
Hoseok sighed and asked the girl to sit on the chair right in front of the table. He strolled over to the chair next to Yoona's and thought to let her know the reality. He didn't like the idea of her sister hating the wrong person. He was a righteous man. Being a lawyer and taking the side of the right person was his job after all.
"Listen to what I'm about to share without interrupting and you're mature enough to realize where you went wrong. Just don't tell about all this to your so-called best friend "Jia," because it's Taehyung who has the right to reveal everything and not us."
Yoona just nodded, listening to everything her brother continued to reveal for more than thirty minutes. She was shocked was an understatement. She had hated the wrong person. Her eyes welled up and she hated herself the most now that she knew the whole truth that she never knew, because even Jia was away from all of this.
"I'll make Jimin fall for me again. But before that, I'll mend Taehyung and Jia's relationship as remorse. I feel bad to blame Taehyung and Jimin, and also for hating Taehyung. I'll do everything to make them one, and only then I'd have the right to ask for Jimin's love again."
Hoseok smiled as he felt proud of his sister. She was stubborn and hard-headed, but she was emotional too which she hardly showed to people. He knew that she would stick to her words.
I'm sorry Tae, for my sister's behavior today. I know Jimin asked me not to tell Yoona anything, but take this as my way to apologize to you. I hope you will be able to forgive us.
