39. You look cute
"Jung Yoona," Yoona introduced herself as she extended her hand to the cute-looking male with brunette hair and a sharp jawline that could cut a diamond.
"Park Jimin." Jimin stood up and awkwardly introduced himself to the girl, shaking her hand.
Jimin stared at the girl for a long time, taking in all of her features. The girl had a sharp nose and a small, heart-shaped face. Her skin tone complimented her dark brown eyes, which were the same color as her hair. The girl was shorter than Jimin and as thin as him.
The two of them coughed once the staring contest was done, looking everywhere but at each other.
Jimin eventually fixed his gaze on the beautiful girl. "Let us take a seat." He motioned Yoona to take a seat by stretching his hand to the front of the chair.
"Sure!" Yoona smiled and sat down, followed by Jimin.
They were at a small restaurant. Jimin was concerned about being recognized, so he requested his mother to make a reservation at a small restaurant.
Jimin's mother called him to his hometown saying how she missed him. The naïve boy believed his mother. He had no idea, however, that his mother had arranged a date for him.
Jimin continued to curse his mother for deceiving him. He was worried and apprehensive. It wasn't like he had never dated in life. But the girls approached him because he was an idol. He desired a girl who would adore him for who he was in real life, not as an idol.
He hasn't dated anyone since then. He was worried that Yoona might turn out to be just like those girls.
Yoona's words brought him out of his trance. "So Jimin, tell me about yourself. What do you do for a living?" Jimin was caught off-guard with the question.
Why would she ask that? Doesn't she know who I am? I need to be more cautious with my words.
"Uh... Ummmm... I'm an aspiring singer." Yoona gave Jimin a nod as he responded.
She appears to be completely unaware of who I am. Should I tell her the truth? But what if she turns out to be like other girls? I should hide it for now.
"Not bad! I've always loved anime, so I studied it in Japan and worked there for nearly three years. I'm currently working as an anime artist." Yoona spoke.
Jimin's pupils dilated. To say he was impressed was an understatement. "Woah! So, do you work for a company or do you work on your own?" He inquired curiously. "You know, we're big fans of anime. I'm referring to myself and my best friend."
Yoona gave the excited boy a warm smile. "Right now, I'm working on my own with two of my juniors. I've been back from Japan for 5 months, and here I am because of my mother." She chuckled as she remembered her dramatic mother who called her to Busan acting ill.
"What a coincidence. In fact, I work in Seoul too." Jimin informed, flashing his infamous eye smile.
Jimin was taken aback by the girl's beauty. He wanted to inquire about her work, but he didn't think it was the right time because it was their first meeting. He decided to ask more questions later.
Yoona kept her heart eyes fixed on the innocent-looking man. "You look cute." She made the mochi-like male flush with her remark.
"You're blunt. Thanks though." Jimin said shyly, impressed by the girl who was perhaps more straightforward than Yoongi.
"Shall we order food while we talk?" Yoona asked to which Jimin nodded.

"Shin-ah, your studies are finished. When are you going to start working for our business?" A man in his mid-fifties inquired from his daughter, who was munching on the chips while watching cartoons.
"Appa, if you were so desperate with your Hotel business, why would you allow Oppa to become an idol?" Shin-ah responded calmly, not sparing a glance at her father.
Her father cynically laughed. "As if Jimin asked me before leaving the house. Shin-ah, you need to start training now. You're already 24, and it'll take you a few years to handle everything. So now is the right time."
Shin-ah closed her eyes and began counting to ten. She was a short-tempered young girl, but whenever she felt herself about to lose her cool, she would count to ten.
Her father walked over to her, sighed, and looked at his daughter, who was sitting with her eyes closed. He sat next to her, switched off the TV, and took her hands in his.
"Baby, you can manage our Resort in Seoul. It's huge and you will get a better experience there. I can manage our Hotel here. That way, I'd be able to take care of your mother too."
Shin-ah gazed at her father when she opened her eyes. Her demeanor was relaxed. "Appa, could you please give me a year? Just one year. On my 25th birthday, I'll join our Resort."
She blinked her round eyes once, twice, and thrice. Her father gave up on his daughter's innocence. "All right, baby!" He kissed her forehead and cupped her cheeks as he talked. "Just one year. Then I'll track you down from anywhere on the planet, even if you try to hide. Mind well, one year."
The girl sighed as he smiled and walked away. However, she smiled within a second when an evil idea crossed her mind.
Shin-ah turned back and looked around to see if anyone was around. She took her phone from her shorts pocket and dialed a number after making sure there was no one else around.
"Oppa~" She pouted as if the other person could see it.
"Yes, baby sister. What do you want?"
"Tae Oppa, I want to work with Suga Oppa for a year. That's my deadline. You need to do something. You know I'm his biggest fan. Please Oppa, do something. Please~" She sounded desperate as she was.
Taehyung sighed deeply. He knew that Shin-ah was a crazy girl. And when it came to Yoongi, the girl had a tendency to go insane. Since the time Yoongi was an idol with Jin during their younger days, the girl had been a huge fan. Jimin and Taehyung always let it slide, thinking she was just fangirling and nothing more. However, Taehyung was now concerned because the girl has never dated before. She continued to dream about Yoongi.
"Baby, Yoongi hyung is 33 years old right now. Stop fantasizing. Why don't you date someone for a year instead?" Taehyung suggested calmly, knowing how worthless it was to persuade her. But there was no harm in giving it a shot, right?
"Oppa, don't do that. You know I can't date anyone besides him."
"Shin-ah, he is literally 9 years older than you. Why can't you get this straight in your head?" Taehyung raised his voice, making her pout harder.
Taehyung and Jimin always did the same. Both the friends treated Shin-ah as their baby sister. They always fulfilled all her wishes. Maybe not Jimin, but Taehyung did all the time. In a nutshell, Taehyung spoilt her.
"Oppa, please! I'll be his assistant for a year. And if I see it's not going to work, I'm going to give up. I'm going to start dating someone seriously. Is that all right?" She was confident that this would work. She knows more about Taehyung than anyone else. How wouldn't she know when they played together since she was a small girl?
Shin-ah waited patiently for her brother. She smirked when Taehyung didn't speak.
"Okay, I'll talk to Jin hyung. But you'll have to understand if Jin hyung says they don't need an assistant." Taehyung warned her in advance.
She nodded with a huge eye smile that was similar to her elder real brother. "Okay, done! Talk to him now and let me know. I'll leave for Seoul tomorrow itself. I can't miss a day. I'll go and start packing. Bye, Oppa! See you soon. I love you!" She chirped happily and disconnected the call before receiving the response.
Taehyung smiled at the girl's craziness and decided to call Jin, hoping for a negative answer. He didn't want his sister to suffer. He knew Yoongi wasn't a bad guy, but he was 9 years older than Shin-ah. She can get a great boy of her age, he thought before dialing Jin's number.
