37. Thanks, hyung!
Jia sat alone on the couch while watching a movie on her television. She sat with a bowl of popcorn in her lap. But instead of eating, she was crushing the poor popcorn because of boredom. She continued to pout while staring at the TV without actually watching it.
"I assumed I'd enjoy this much-needed 'me time'. But I miss my baby bear." She sighed and took a fist full of popcorn to crush it again. "I wonder what they are doing." She continued to pout and crush the popcorn as she looked straight. "Does he even miss me? It seems like my son will forget me when he is with his father."
She sighed louder this time and smashed the bowl against the coffee table in front of her. She grabbed the remote from the table and turned it off.
"Arghh!" Jia screamed and flung her arms and legs in the air as she lay on the couch. "I miss you, baby." She pouted for the nth time.
Jia became bored after lying on the couch for more than half an hour and staring aimlessly at the ceiling. She straightened up and decided to take a walk.
After getting her phone and money, she headed downstairs. She checked the time on her phone, which showed 5 pm.
A bookstore caught her eye as she was strolling aimlessly through the walkway. She stood outside, wondering if she should enter or not.
Jia still had more than a day to herself. Because Taehyung and Ji-hu would be back at night the other day, she decided to buy a book and finish it by the next day.
When she walked in, she was met by a few busy people near the bookshelf. They were preoccupied with selecting books, which added to her boredom. On the other hand, she was delighted by the colorful books.
It had been many years since she was detached from books. There was a time when she was a voracious reader. Not the nerdy sort, but the one who liked to read romantic novels.
Jia took a tour around the bookstore, looking over various books. A girl around her age approached her. "Ma'am, what kind of books do you like?" She inquired politely with a smile.
"I enjoy romance, but this time I want something different. I've read the majority of well-known authors' works. Do you have a new author's book or something?" Jia inquired, returning the girl's smile.
"Yes, ma'am! There's a new author by the name of Theo. Let me show you the book. This way." The girl led the way and Jia gladly followed.
A foreign author it seems.
"Here! This is the author's first book, which he/she released over two years ago. But it is only now that it is being recognized. It is currently a best-selling book. It's a romance, and I think you'd enjoy it." The girl informed her while delivering the book to Jia.
Jia grabbed the book that had a beautiful picture of nature. The cover appeared to be a shot taken from a hill station, with blue and white clouds floating above a snow mountain in the back.
"It doesn't appear to be a romantic book from the cover." Jia sneered.
"Now check the title." The girl demanded with a chuckle. When she first saw the book, she had the same reaction.
"When his heart-felt love." Jia read it out. "It's no surprise that the book has gone unnoticed in the last two years. The author surely seems amateur which I match the cover with the title." Jia remarked, earning another chuckle from the girl.
"But it's a wonderful story about how we shouldn't lose hope and how love wins in the end. It's my personal favorite." The girl smiled as she informed.
Jia returned her gaze to the cover, and she couldn't deny that, despite the fact that the image had nothing to do with romance, it had a calming effect on her. Something suddenly drew her attention.
"You used the pronoun he/she to refer to the author. Has the gender of the author not been revealed yet?" Jia inquired with curiosity.
"Unfortunately no! But I'm guessing it'll be a female. The book is extremely profound, and the emotions and details make me believe that only a woman could have written it." Jia gave a nod in response to the girl's response.
She grinned and made the decision to purchase it. "Thank you very much! I'm going to buy this."
The girl smiled back and moved over to the payment counter, grabbing the book from Jia's grip. Jia followed her and paid for the book before returning back home.

Ji-hu and Aera made a pillow house with the help of their respective fathers. They made it in front of the huge television so that the kids could enjoy their movie time.
The kids opted to play for a while after their meal while the adults washed the utensils and finished their tasks. After they were finished, the boisterous duo requested that they should make a pillow house so that they could watch their favorite movie, Frozen.
That's how the kids sat in their pillow house, while the elders sat peacefully beside each other on the couch.
"How do you think she'll react when she finds out she's expecting?" Namjoon looked at the younger and inquired.
Taehyung turned to his right and sat facing Namjoon so that they could converse. "I have no clue. But I'd love it if she agrees to give me a chance because of the second pregnancy." Taehyung let out a sigh.
"And have you told his brother about how she was the one to initiate the divorce and not the other way round? I feel like that's the sole reason he despises you."
Taehyung shrugged, unsure when the time was right to share the truth. He could have done it earlier, but he doesn't want Jia to despise him even more.
Namjoon patted the younger's shoulder. "I'll be there whenever you need me. Don't worry." He gave him a dimple smile as an assurance, prompting Taehyung to flash him his boxy grin.
"Thanks, hyung!" Taehyung drew forward and hugged the elder, surprising him. He hugged back nonetheless.
When they broke the hug, a serious question popped into Namjoon's mind. Perhaps more serious than the previous question.
"Uh, Tae? What should we eat for dinner? We need to start planning now before the kids become hungry." Namjoon queried as he considered the ingredients he had at the moment.
"How about we order pizza? I haven't had one in a very long time." When Taehyung observed Namjoon's relieved expression, he winked. The elder gave a nod in response to the request.
They proceeded to watch the film, putting all of their fears aside. They planned to take advantage of these two days before returning to their normal lives. With such thoughts in mind, they both smiled and watched the movie with their kids.

So, how was this?
Again an unexpected storyline. I honestly didn't expect this book part.
But I had to show what Jia would do in the meantime, so I came across this.
Not your dearest author promoting her own book in her book lol
Can anyone be as crazier as me? 😂
Anyways, have a good day/night. I love you all! ♥️
Isn't he an angel? 🥺🤍
