25. Who made you cry?
The weather was gloomy outside, and the day had just begun. The girl sighed as she looked up at the blue and grey sky, feeling as if the weather was serving as a mirror of her current life.
It had been two days since she left Taehyung's room as if she had used him physically and emotionally. She didn't meet anyone after she left and went straight home. Perhaps luck was on her side that day since, despite the fact that it wasn't that early in the morning, no one at the agency noticed the girl, who had hickeys on her neck and tears staining her cheeks as she tried to walk properly but couldn't stop limping.
She called Jungkook when she reached her place, requesting him to bring Ji-hu home because she had to return earlier for work. She lied about not wanting to wake the little boy from his sleep because he would throw a fit, which was partially true.
Jungkook, being the naive lad that he was, trusted her words. He had planned to go on a date the other day, but all he could do was pout when the girl turned him down, providing him an excuse to be at the café.
Jia was currently alone at her home, surrounded by her thoughts. Since Yoongi returned, Ji-hu wanted to spend a day with his uncle.
"Did he really mean everything the other day?" Jia questioned herself as she continued to gaze at the sky.
"I know you are sleeping, but I can't help it. I think I don't have the balls to talk to you when you're awake. Hey, it's not that I don't want to; it's just that you won't listen to me or believe what I'm saying. But it's not your fault. I had been a dick before."
"Jia, I'd like to apologize for everything I did in the past. I'm well aware that I don't deserve you because you deserve the world. But I still want you back because you are my universe and without you, my life would be incomplete."
"You won't believe but when I said I lied about having a girlfriend, it was true. I never loved any other girl since the day I married you. I might have married you to protect my career, but I genuinely thought of you as my better half. I lied because you messed up with my mind. Being a playboy in the past, I never imagined falling in love this hard. Actually, I didn't even know what love was and how it felt to be in love until you left me and I was sure that I loved you. I didn't want you to expect much from me at that time, because I was genuinely busy with my career. I loved our son as well. I never regretted making you pregnant or marrying you. I even never regretted it when you gave birth to Ji-hu. I just needed time to sort out my thoughts and emotions. But I messed up. I'm sorry baby! I really love you! I should have been there by your side when you needed me."
"You must be aware of how possessive I am when it comes to you. But trust me; I won't let you go now. I won't, and when I say I won't, I WON'T! You will come back to me, I can promise you that. So, don't even think about moving on, because you can't and you won't. I love you so much, babygirl!"
"But what did he mean when he said that he won't let me go and I will come back to his life? Does he really love me? How can I trust him so easily when he was the reason behind my miserable days? It was easy for him to question why I can't give him a second chance, but it's difficult for me to even consider doing so. What if he hurt me again? What if he abandons me and my son again? How will I mend my heart if he broke it again? I'm scared, Tae. It's really hard to trust you."
The girl was crying at this point when she talked to the invisible Taehyung. She was thinking about all of her emotions and what she should do.
On the other hand, Taehyung was no good either. Jia's words hurt him a lot. He had locked himself in his room and was still crying. He was blaming himself for everything he had done in the past. Things would have been better if he didn't let her go back then.
All of a sudden, something struck his mind. He leaped to his feet and exited the room, only to be greeted by his son.
"TaeTae? Are you crying?" The little boy widened his eyes and tilted his head, as he asked the elder innocently.
Taehyung knelt down and opened his arms to embrace the little one. "Come here, my son!" He pleaded as the tears began welling up again.
Ji-hu didn't have to be told twice. He dashed over and embraced his new favorite uncle. "TaeTae? Who made you cry? I'll beat him." He pouted cutely once he broke the hug and looked at the elder.
"I don't want you to fight with your mother for your father," he thought but smiled at his son's innocence nonetheless.
"Baby, do you like small babies?" Taehyung asked out of the blue to change the topic.
The boy's eyes twinkled in response to the question, and he vigorously nodded his head while clapping his tiny hands. For a few moments, Taehyung adored the boy before noticing how the boy was alone.
"So, where were you going alone?"
"Uncle Chim's room. To get toys." Ji-hu responded cutely with a sweet smile.
"Okay, love! Let us go. I was going there as well." Taehyung held the little one in his arms and stood up, approaching the said male's room.
As usual, he barged into Jimin's room without knocking, which made the eldest of the three terrified. He was scared would be an understatement.
Jimin was laying on the bed with the naked upper half while the lower half was covered with his baby pink duvet. His left hand was clutching his phone tightly while the other hand was inside his duvet, which was clear to Taehyung what he must be up to.
"Thank God he wore air pods. I wouldn't want to corrupt my baby's ears," Taehyung thought.
"TaeTae, why is Uncle Chim red? Is he sick?" The boy looked at Taehyung and asked with a concern-filled voice.
"Baby, go and grab your toys. Your uncie must be waiting for you." Taehyung gently placed the kid on his feet and patted his bums, indicating that he should go and grab the toys.
Once the boy ran excitedly, Taehyung glared at his best friend as if he was scolding him, only to be glared back. Both continued to stare daggers until the little one interrupted them. "TaeTae! I go back to uncie. Bye Uncle Chim!" He waved cutely and rushed back to his uncle.
Taehyung shut the door and marched up to his soulmate's bed, snatching a pillow and hurling it at him. "You pervert! Why wouldn't you lock the room while jerking off? What if Ji-hu was alone? Did you plan to show him your hard cock just to make him question thousands of things? He is a curious little bean, ass!"
Jimin locked his phone and wiggled his lower body as if to cover himself with some piece of clothing. Once he was done, he threw the duvet and stood up. "Let me make it quick in the bathroom. Not everyone is as lucky as you to have a wife and make love on the very first encounter." He remarked while glancing at Taehyung's hickeys and dashed to his restroom, not forgetting to lock it.
Taehyung sat on his friend's bed, his nose scrunched at the image of Jimin jerking off several times on the bed he was currently sitting on. But he shook the thought aside and focused on ways to inform Jimin about why he had come. He feared if his best friend would trust him or not.
The short-heighted man walked back to his room and noticed how his friend was lost in his thoughts. He knew that there must be a reason why he seemed bothered. He approached his pal and knelt in front of Taehyung.
The younger of the two came out of his thoughts when the smaller warm hands held his cold hands, squeezing them. "What happened? Do you need time?" He asked in his calm voice, earning a 'no' from his friend.
"I have no idea if you will judge me or not. But trust me; I didn't want to be selfish. Things happened and I no longer know if I should be happy or sad. Moreover-"
"Stop beating around the bush and get to the point." Jimin groaned.
"Jia and I made love two days ago." The younger paused to examine the expressions of the smaller male. He proceeded when he couldn't spot any unpleasant expressions, "But I again forgot to use protection. And you can say that we did it more than once." His cheeks turned crimson at his "too much information."
"What's the matter with you two? I get that unprotected sex appears to be more pleasurable, but why do you both keep making the same mistake?" Jimin looked so done with his friend and his stupidity but continued holding his hands.
"We both were craving, Chim. We both got so lost that I only realized it today. Jia was also a little tipsy. So, I'm not sure if she remembers it." Taehyung sighed at the sudden realization. When he realized this, he jolted up and ran to Jimin. He needed to rant and share his worries with his friend; and here he was, sharing his life problems with his soulmate.
"So, what should I do now?" Taehyung questioned him, biting his lower lip out of nervousness.
"What do you want to do?" Jimin questioned back.
The soulmates sat there in silence. Jimin sat down, folding his legs, and watched Taehyung's perplexed expressions while the younger considered what he wanted to do.
