Hi there! I'm starting a new story short called Scarecrow adventures! It's filled with small events with our beloved Kakashi and reader-chan outside of the story. Please enjoy and comment if I should continue Scarecrow adventures throughout the book!

Your POV (back when you were 16)

You and Kakashi were taking a walk with Naruto after eating ramen at Ichiraku's when suddenly you look up at the sky and noticed something shine in the distance.

"What the hell?" You said while putting your hand over your eyes so the sunlight wouldn't bother your eyes. You then heard a faint scream and noticed a green blob emerge from the shine.

"YOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh no.." you sweatdropped before you grabbed Naruto and ran the opposite direction. Kakashi stopped and looked at you with a puzzled expression on his face.

"(Name) what's wrong?" He said while shoving his hands in the pockets of his Anbu uniform then later heard the screams of youth as he looked up to the sky with a poker face.

"Oh dear." Kakashi said before the green blob crashed into him causing some dirt to cloud around them. You and Naruto coughed as the dust cleared to reveal Gai on top of Kakashi on the ground.

"Are you two alright?!" You yelled while running up to them with Naruto in your arms. Gai stood up quickly into a pose and gave you two a closed eye grin, causing his teeth to shimmer.

"Kakashi! Just who I was looking for! It's time for one of our matches, this time I'll tie the wins between us today! What shall it be?! A duel? A race? A test of strength? A test of stamina? A test of youth?!" Gai yelled in between poses as Kakashi slowly got up and brushed the dirt off his clothes. Naruto laughed and pointed at Kakashi at the same time.

"I'm a little busy right now, Gai. Maybe tomorrow when I'm actually free and when I'm in the mood." Kakashi said while walking up to you and pushing a strand of your (h/c) hair behind your ear. Gai's jaw dropped to the ground as Naruto booed.

"Kakashi, how dare you refuse?! We haven't had a proper battle in a month! We must act now while we still can! The springtime of youth depends on it! My soul burns and yearns for competition between rivals, the flames of youth shall never be extinguished! Accept this challenge and fight with honor!!!!" Gai pleaded as flames began to appear in his eyes. Naruto was crying anime tears while clenching his fists in front of him as he was inspired by Gai's short speech.

"Aw come on, Kakashi-kun. Be a little more energetic for once. Accept Gai's challenge, I've never seen your matches in person so I'm interested in seeing one live." You said giggling while putting Naruto down. You got closer to Kakashi and whispered in his ear "You can show off your skills to Naruto and who knows. You might even get a little reward for your win from me later on as a bonus." You smirked while giggling away from him. Kakashi was intrigued by your offer and fired up.

"Let's do this Gai." Kakashi faced him with a serious look of determination on his face. In the background behind Kakashi, you can visibly see a smirking you blushing with a hand covering your mouth and the other on Naruto's shoulder, while he himself was grinning. Gai laughed loudly in triumph while leaning his head back with his hands on his hips.

"Now we're talking. What will it be Kakashi? I chose the last match's battle so it's your turn. What youthful activity shall we engage into today?!" Gai leaned forward as his eyes sparkled with curiosity. You were expecting them to spar or race as one of the challenges so you were curious yourself to which one he'd choose.

"How about... Rock Paper Scissors." Kakashi said smiling while holding out his fist. Both Naruto and Gai fell to the ground facepalmed by the simple challenge expecting more. Even you sweatdropped to this.

"What?! That's too simple Spiky Baka! I wanna see some action and cool moves!" Naruto said while jumping on Kakashi's back and pinching his cheeks. You grabbed Naruto with one hand as he struggled to get free and pouted. You blushed when you noticed how cute Naruto was when he pouts.

"I didn't say this was going to be a regular Rock Paper Scissor challenge now did I?" Kakashi turned around to the dangling Naruto as he tilted his head in confusion. Gai stood up with his fists in front of him as he realized what Kakashi meant.

"Brilliant! As expected from my rival, hahaha! Let's begin!" Gai said before he jumped backward far away from the group. Kakashi then faced you and Naruto.

"You might wanna stand back, (Name)." Kakashi said while ruffling Naruto's hair and walking in the opposite direction from you. You then sat on a bench with Naruto while eyeing the two men from both sides.

"One!" Gai sprinted towards Kakashi.

"Two." Kakashi did the same towards Gai.

"Three!" They both said in unison as they jumped high in the air towards each other. You and Naruto watched in awe as curiosity filled your eyes.

"Rock!" They both kicked each other in the air forming an X with their legs. They then spun around once as Gai was about to karate chop Kakashi and Kakashi preparing himself to block it.

"Paper!" Kakashi blocked it and pushed Gai back to then float towards him upside down and perform a scissor kick.

"Scissors!" Guy manages to block it in time as he pushes Kakashi back and they both land on the ground. Then the sprinted towards each other again to what looks like them about to punch each other. You and Naruto leaned forward from the bench, focusing on what was going to happen next.

"Shoot!" The stopped with their hands in front of each other's faces. Kakashi had thrown his had in a paper shape while Gai threw his in Rock. Gai was shocked as his face turned blue and was shaking. You had a poker face on while your clothes leaned in one direction revealing your bare shoulder. Naruto's eyes were closed as question marks appeared above his head. Kakashi stood up straight but didn't remove his hand from Gai's face.

"Looks like I win again Gai." Kakashi said while giving him a closed eye smile. Gai's whole body turned white as a breeze blew by and a distant crow was heard cawing. "Ka-hooo! Ka-hoooooo!"

"I must keep training..." Gai said as he walked away with a depressing aura above him as he leaning forward hanging his head in shame. You laughed nervously as you spotted Kakashi look at you with a glimmer in his one visible eye. Naruto held his hands in front of him mimicking Kakashi and Gai's hands to figure out what just happened. Kakashi walked towards you and leaned forward towards you ear opposite of Naruto.

"Looks like I'll get my reward later on after Naruto goes to bed, won't I?" Kakashi smirked and chuckled at you while grabbing a strand of your hair and bring it close to his lips. You then laughed louder nervously as you began to sweat and look in the opposite direction.

"What kind of mess did I get myself into" you thought as you walked away holding Naruto's hand with one hand and one of Kakashi's hands wrapped around your waist and the other in his pocket.

"Why did I push him to challenge Gai?!"

A/N: I laughed while writing this short, I still can't believe I wrote this. I was watching funny Anime videos on YouTube when I decided to write about this. Quite inspiring right? 😂 Anyways, leave a comment if I should keep writing more shorts of Scarecrow Adventures!!! Thanks for reading!
