chapter three | weasleys' wizard wheezes

The next day, Oliver, Eliza, and Andrew went to Diagon Alley to get the supplies they needed for their sixth year. Oliver was surprised that he even had enough money to get his supplies. Every year, he had to dip into what he had at Gringotts for his school supplies. It was Oliver's aunt, who was a witch, that had left him money in the vault the Campbells owned before she passed away from a serious illness. Andrew was able to access his vault once he turned eleven, where his parents left just enough for Andrew before they died.

"Can you believe it? Next year we'll come back here one last time to get our supplies," Eliza said when they got to Diagon Alley. "Remember the first time we came here?"

"Ugh, that felt like a century ago," Andrew said. "We're getting old."

Eliza smiled and put each arm around Oliver and Andrew. "At least we're getting old together."

Oliver and Andrew smiled at this as they walked towards Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. The three had never been inside the shop, but they were eager to see how much the Weasley twins had accomplished ever since they dropped out of Hogwarts only a few months ago.

When the three entered inside the shop, they were hit with the bright colors that were all over the store. The shelves were full of candies and snacks, the same ones the twins sold to students last year, along with new toys and inventions. Of course, Oliver, Eliza, and Violet never bought any. However, Andrew and Jacob would buy some and then made numerous attempts to get Oliver and the girls to eat some, trying to pass it as candy. But the three weren't fooled one bit.

"This is amazing!" Eliza exclaimed, smiling at everything she was seeing.

"Oi! There's Jake and Vi!" Andrew announced, pointing at a stand that contained many potions on it.

Sure enough, Jacob and Violet were standing there with all of the potions in front of them. It almost looked like they were arguing with each other again. That was all they seemed to do whenever they were hanging out.

When the trio got closer, Jacob and Violet were going back and forth with Jacob's inappropriate comments, followed by Violet's snarky remarks. "I'm telling you, Vi, this is what you need!" Jacob said to Violet in a teasing way, pointing at the bottle in his hand.

"The only thing I need is for you to stop saying such nonsense!" she retorted.

"Oh, please. All you do is talk nonsense. Besides, you like hearing my voice."

Violet rolled her eyes at him and shook her head. Her face brightened up when she saw her friends walking her way. She ran up to the trio and gave each of them a tight hug. "It feels like forever since we last saw each other!" she exclaimed.

"You must tell me about Italy!" Eliza replied, linking arms with Violet.

"It's good to see you two!" Jacob said as he hugged Andrew, then Oliver. "America would've been more fun if you lot were there with me."

"There's always next year," Andrew responded, smiling at Jacob.

Oliver let out a scoff. "If the war doesn't kill us first."

Jacob playfully shook his head. "I'm glad to see that you haven't changed, Ollie."

Jacob's family were known by all wizards and witches all around the world. His grandfather, Newt Scamander, made a name for himself in the 1920s. He went to America and ended up meeting his wife. Jacob's first name wasn't Jacob. It was actually William, but he didn't like it, so he decided to go by his middle name, but only his close friends called him Jake. His grandparents told him Jacob was a No-Maj they met in America and became good friends with him. Jacob didn't boast about his fame, because he didn't really care.

"I see your attempts to sweep Vi off her feet are going well," Oliver joked.

Jacob looked over at Violet, then back at the boys and nodded his head. "Oh, yeah. I think she wants me."

Andrew placed his hand on Jacob's shoulder. "Keep dreaming, mate." Oliver laughed at this.

Violet Hamilton was the only pure-blood out of the five. However, unlike most pure-blood families, Violet's parents raised her and her two sisters to believe that everyone was equal, despite their blood status. Violet was the middle child and was exposed to magic long before she got her letter. She didn't mind that she was the only one with magical parents. In fact, she liked to know about the Muggle world from her friends. Muggle Studies was one of her favorite subjects at Hogwarts.

Jacob gave Oliver and Andrew a tour of the entire shop, letting them take everything in. Out of all the shops in Diagon Alley, this one obviously stood out the most. Mostly because Diagon Alley had hardly anything to offer anymore. Not many students were here today to get school supplies, which surprised Oliver.

Once the boys saw everything in the shop, they went to go find the girls. They walked by Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, who were just as amazed as Oliver was when they first walked in. Then, he spotted Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley looking at the potions Jacob and Violet were talking about earlier.

"Hello, ladies," the twins said as they approached the girls.

"Love potions, eh?" Fred said (Oliver thought it was him). "Yeah. They really do work."

"But from what we've heard, sis, you're doing just fine on your own," George added, smirking at his sister.

"Meaning?" Ginny questioned.

"Are you not currently dating Dean Thomas?" Fred asked.

The redhead blushed and walked away. "That's none of your business."

Oliver watched Ginny walk away from the twins and Hermione. He looked back at Hermione and wondered if she was seeing anyone. Oliver started to fancy Hermione just a little before the idea about Dumbledore's Army came about. He used to watch her in class when she would shoot her hand up in the air to answer a question. Her compassion and loyalty to Harry and Ron made Oliver realize that she had a pure heart, something that was hard to find in anyone nowadays.

Hermione looked over at a boy, who was eyeing her with a smirk on his face. She quickly turned away and placed the potion back with the other bottles. Oliver sighed and watched as she found Harry and Ron then left the shop with them.

"She's gone, Ollie, so you can stop drooling now," Violet said from behind him, making him jump.

He turned around and saw that his friends were smirking and laughing at him. He rolled his eyes at them. "Very funny, Vi."

She continued to smirk at him. "You two have lived near each other for a while now, not to mention you two literally go to Hogwarts, so you see her all the time, basically, and you have yet to ask her out. Also, I'm bloody hilarious."

"Let's not get too cocky now," he replied, a weak smile creeping upon his face. "Besides, I don't see her all the time, especially at home."

She giggled. "Still, you fancy her. That's pretty obvious."

The five decided to leave the shop and get their school supplies before it got too late. While they were trying to figure out where to go first, Oliver noticed that they weren't alone.

"What is it, Ollie?" Eliza asked him.

Oliver pointed at Draco Malfoy with his mum and another family. The only one that stood out to him was the girl that was beside Draco. She had fair skin and long, black hair. She looked calm, sticking by Draco as they walked along the stores. Oliver studied her, trying to figure out who she was, but was not able to recognize her.

"Who is that?" Jacob questioned, looking at the girl as well.

"Probably Malfoy's new minion," Andrew answered.

"I've never seen her before," Oliver stated. "You think she's new around here?"

"Well, if she is, the last person she needs to be around is Malfoy," Violet said. "Come on, let's go get our supplies." Violet began to walk towards Flourish and Blotts, followed by Jacob and Andrew.

Oliver stayed behind to watch the girl. She followed Draco to Knockturn Alley when Eliza grabbed Oliver's hand. "Let's go and get our books," she said.

Oliver looked at Eliza and nodded his head. He looked back once more and saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione heading for Knockturn Alley. With that, he let Eliza lead him to Flourish and Blotts, putting the girl that he saw in the back of his mind.

A/N: Here's chapter 3!

What do you think of Jacob and Violet? What do you think of the group altogether? Any favorites (even though it's only chapter 3)?

Song above is Wizard Wheezes by Nicholas Hooper, which was not in the HBP film, but it's short and sweet, lol.

Comment, vote, more to come soon. :)
