Together the four children and the victor traveled through the snowy land that is Narnia. It had been already decided by Lucy that they go meet Mr. Tumnus

The Girl on Fire still felt uneasy joining the group. Katniss followed lastly in the line. She noticed grumpy Edmund was grumbling and mumbling to himself.

'He would never last long in the games.' Katniss thought.

Suddenly Lucy, who had been in the lead, took off running. The others followed quickly after, calling her name.

They found themselves walking in a small bungalow-

Reader- What in the world is a bungalow??

Me- Just another name for a house

Reader- I see someone has been using their word-a-day calendar.

Me- no. I can't remember what his house looked like in the movie and it's too late to watch it so I'm just winging it.

Reader- just wait till tomor-

Me- when the writing mood hits, you DO NOT wait!

Reader- ok....

So.. where did I leave off?

Reader- bungalow.....

Me- yes thank you.

Reader- you owe me.

Me- how about an update for this book?

Reader- sure!

Me- then stop interrupting!

This BUNGALOW was a mess as papers were scattered, the door was knocked down and other miscellaneous messy stuff.

The children looked on in both fear and sorrow. Katniss pulled out her bow, ready to defend them all. Carefully she stepped outside to scan the perimeter.

"Don't go too far, this place isn't safe." Called Susan.

"I've had my experiences with unsafe places." Returned Katniss.

It wasn't long before Katniss was quickly called back inside. Apparently while she had been outside the front door, which is always a dangerous thing, a bird had talked to them and was going to take them somewhere.

Katniss raised an eyebrow when she heard this. 'Why is it my Fandom doesn't have helpful animals? All they want to do is kill.'

While Katniss was rethinking her Fandom, she nearly missed following them out the door. Off they went walking. As they went Katniss had a horrible feeling of dread come over her. Call it hunter's instinct, she suddenly felt extremely unsafe.

She was so lost in her thoughts, she nearly bumped into the group as they stopped, watching and listening for something.

'This is it!" She thought.

She stepped in front of Peter and held her armed bow, ready for anything. 'Lucy. I must protect Lucy.' Right then and there she finally realized, 'every kid I get attached to, ends up dead.'

This thought was so hard to swallow, she dropped her bow. A good thing too or she would have killed-

All watched a furry little beaver came out of the bushes.

"It's a beaver!" Said Lucy in wonder.

"Good thing it was just a beaver or Katniss would have got us all killed." Said Edmund cruelly.

Katniss turned and glared at the boy. "Only you." She said.

Peter got closer to the animal and began clicking his tongue and held out a hand.

"I ain't going to smell it if that's what you want."

It was the beaver that had spoke! They all jumped back a little. Katniss clutched her knife. The beaver seemed to know Lucy and he handed her something white. It clearly upset the girl and Katniss had a sudden urge to comfort the child.

The children and Katniss followed the beaver. Lucy had drifted toward the back of the line.

"Are you ok?" Asked Katniss gently.

Lucy kept her head down. "I'm afraid for Mr. Tumnus."

Katniss's felt a pang from the past. she remembered comforting Prim the morning of that fateful reaping.

Katniss stopped and pulled Lucy into a hug.

"It's ok to be afraid." She spoke.

Lucy buried her face in Katniss's hunting jacket and let a couple tears fall.

"It will be ok little duck." Whispered the girl on fire.

Just at that moment of tender embrace a horrible feeling of betrayal came to Katniss.

"A cordial is the item. I'm going to steal Lucy's cordial."
