BLURB
Ash Grayson Samonte suffers from a disorder called cerebral achromatopsia. He became totally color-blind due to a traumatic brain injury. When colors were drained from his sight, he believes it took everything away. How can he--who had spent life in colors--deal with seeing the world in shades of gray?
And then, he meets “Rainbow.” In spite of being complete opposites, he accepts her offer of friendship to uncover his perceived truth. It later sets off a kaleidoscopic journey of finding love, as well as rekindling hopes and dreams. Although things are not what he painted them to be, the swirl of events bring the colors back into his life in a way he doesn't expect.

NOTE
There really is a rare medical condition called achromatopsia, also known as total color blindness. Before writing this novel, I researched about it. Here's a gist: The first type is congenital or inherited achromatopsia. People are born with achromatopsia. They don't have normal cone photoreceptors located in retina of the eyes. Congenital or inherited achromatopsia should not be confused with the second type which is cerebral achromatopsia, an acquired form of total color blindness due to trauma, illness or some other cause. People may develop achromatopsia resulting from a damage to the cerebral cortex, the part of the brain responsible in color processing.
The loss of color perception accompanied by vision impairment and light sensitivity is somehow similar between the two in some way. Kahit wala masyadong info tungkol sa cerebral achromatopsia na focus nitong kwento, masasabi ko pa ring ginawa ko ang lahat ng aking makakaya para i-portray ang nabanggit na medical condition. My only guide is an article about a man called Mr. I who became totally color-blind due to a car accident. I incorporated what he experienced to the main character, but in a milder sense. Parang combination na nga ng congenital at cerebral achromatopsia, eh. Well, fiction naman 'to with a touch of (a little bit) medical fact.
