Nico: Getting to Know

(Nico's dagger ^) (The song Will played ^)

It was so fun creeping out blittle Mr. Sunshine. The look of horror on his face a hilarious. The action I did didn't hurt since it was a small cut that only bleed because of my saliva. And it was something I did often that still scares Hazel so I had grown used to it. Prince William (such a professional name) stumbled forward, Hazel breaking from my side to speak with Will's siblings. I frowned a bit at this, not trusting these bright and sunshiney people near my baby sister. I then turned to the prince and smiled.

"Greetings," he said through gritted teeth. It was obvious he didn't enjoy my presence. My smile only grew.

"Greetings? That's it? No bowing? No kiss on the hand?" I chuckled as his scowl grew. I blink and his face was neutral again. I was starting to get to him. How funny.

"Why don't you show Prince Nico around the house?" King Apollo called from where he stood with my father. Will huffed nodding to me in a sign to follow and I did. He truly hated me, huh? Wow.

After walking in silence, I was led to these two large doors. I didn't think that was actually his room. It was huge. On one side it was all his bedroom items, the bed pushed with the headboard against the wall and the rest meeting open space with a small desk to the right of the bed. The wardrobe was strangely right next to the door, something I didn't find normal but decided against questioning it. The other side was more of a sitting area with bookshelves, a guitar, a brown soft leather chair and other small things. My room was a closet compared to this. He truly was spoiled.

"How on earth do you sleep in here," I used my hand to block out the light that shone through the giant windows that held nothing to try and block it.

"Um, I'm not sure. How you do sleep?" He asked, sarcasm lacing his voice. I grinned at it, truly not expecting the prince of the day to behave this way. I loved it. I was a bit confused when his features softened at my grin before hardening again. Strange.

"Well, it's quite interesting," I offered, walking over and running my hand on the leather chair. All my chairs are wooden.

"My siblings have more stuff in their rooms. I'm just not interested in much," he shrugged, walking over to the guitar and lifting it up by the neck.

"You play?" A stupid question, yes, but it was a question. Will raised an eyebrow, smiling a bit. Woah. I didn't think this guy could look happy. But he.. He did. Happy was a nice look on him.

"Yeah, I do," he spoke softly, no sarcasm at all. He was proud of that fact. I couldn't play an anything like that for squat.

"Can you..." My voice trailed off, the question obvious. Will's face flushed with embarrassment.

"I.. I'm not that good.." He bit his lip but sighed, leaning against the wall. He slipped his hands in position and I sat down, the leather chair extremely comfortable. I could sleep on here and be completely fine for the night. I was lost in the chair that I didn't notice Will stared playing. My eyes snapped up at the sound of the guitar and I gaped. It was.. Beautiful.

Once he was finish I stared at him, watching a blush creep onto his face as he gently placed his guitar down. "I know, I need more prac-"

"That's what you call bad?! What do you call good?! Oh my lord!" I was in udder shock. I've never seen someone get so focused in playing any kind on instrument.

Will's blush spread and a small smile appeared on his face. "You.. You liked it? My parents don't pay much attention and all the maids say it's just noise. My siblings like it, yes, but they aren't always around," he shrugged fiddling with a golden chain on his outfit.

"It was absolutely beautiful," I confirmed, making his smile grow. I could get used to seeing him smile like that.

We fell into a small silence before Will broke it. "So.. How did your parents tell you about.. Our marriage."

I blinked before realizing what he said. Right. We're getting married. But we've barely become friends! This was insane. I could even feel the bitterness in his voice at the word "marriage". Sheesh. I wanted to get married as much as he did (not at all) but he could at least pretend to be excited.

"My father told me," I answered finally. "He asked if I was still attracted to men. When I said yes, he said 'Good. Because you're getting married.' Wonderful, eh?"

I heard him chuckle at my little story and I couldn't help but smile the tiniest bit back, even if I was feeling a bit bitter from the story. He had a nice laugh. Maybe he wasn't such a brat. Just a bit... Salty at times.

"Well I pretty much found out because they normally tell me about their meetings as a heads up when people arrive to the castle," He started his own story once he was done laughing. "When I didn't get that heads up, I kinda sorta eavesdropped on their conversation and put two and two together. Later on they called me to the meeting room after, who I expect was your father had left. Since I already knew, all they could tell me is that.. It was you who I was wedding."

Again, the distaste in his voice was pretty offensive. Sure I spit blood on his floor but he doesn't have to be so rude. I'd marry myself in a heartbeat if I had the chance. I didn't see what he thought was so impulsive about me. Maybe he is a little bit of a brat. I shrugged, trying to hide the fact I had caught his tone that he was apparently trying to hide by lowering his voice. Rude boy.

"So William-"

"Will."

I blinked by the strange interruption to my sentence. "Pardon me?"

"Will. Call me Will. I hate the name William," he shrugged, still leaning against the wall but now will his arms causally crossed over his chest.

"Well call me Nico, but I'm sure you knew that already," I nodded back, frowning slightly at the strange "oooh" look on his face. Did he forget my name already? Great. This was going to be fun.

We heard a call from downstairs, sounding like Queen Naomi. I relunctedly stood from the chair as Will had already passed me and gotten to the door. He held it open for me and I smirked with a small, "Thank you, my prince." I watched and chuckled as he stiffened at that and his eyes bulged out of his head. Strange boy.
