"This is bad..." Lilly said, running her hands through her hair. I watched the boys practically bounce around the room. Then I saw it. A whole bag of candy, gone. "Boys, settle down," she said, trying to stay calm. They didn't even respond. She tried again, her voice a little louder. I was about to say something, but didn't get the chance.
"Timothy and Brandon Lycaster settle down!" She yelled. They instantly stopped laughing and turned to Lilly. There eyes went wide, however, hers stayed fierce. They immediately sat down and grabbed a piece of pizza. "That's better. Thank you," she said sweetly. I underestimated her, by a lot.
"Boys. Why did you eat the candy?" Lilly asked, not in a mad tone, but a curious one. They both finished eating there slice before they answered.
"Cause we like candy," Timothy said. Lilly shot him a glare. "Wrong answer.... Okay. We ate it because we wanted to." He said.
"Brandon? Why did you eat the candy?" She asked the little boy. He looked a little frightened.
"Because Tim did it," he said bluntly.
"Way to blow my cover," I heard Tim mumble.
"Sweet little innocent children, your both grounded. Don't argue." She said with a huge smile like she just won the lottery. I heard angry mumbles from Tim, and she heard it to. "What was that Tim? You want another day on your groundation, well, I'm sure we can-"
"No, please!!!!!" He cried out. She smirked.
"Alright then. Up to your rooms. Tim, help your brother," she said. He nodded and took his brother upstairs with him. "Punishments good right?" She asked. I nodded. "Okay, good. Cause I felt like I was really mean there." She said.
"So, I want to hear about this '4 fire truck fire' that you started." I said, chuckling at the question. She took her head in her hands and started laughing. I like her laugh, it's a little cute.
"Okay, so, I was trying to heat up a pizza in the oven. What I didn't know, is that my mom had just put in a new oven and didn't tell me, so basically, the cardboard was still inside of it." She paused, laughing at her story. I cringed as I realized what came next. "And I turned up the heat. The cardboard caught on fire and started a huge house fire that needed 4 fire trucks. My mom banned me from using the oven for a whole month." She said. She started laughing witched caused me to laugh as well.
         We were plunged into comfortable silence, me staring at her, her staring at the floor. Her gold hair swept across her face. She was stunning, perfectly amazing. How had I not noticed her before? Well, let's face it, no one notices me.
         She messed with her hands, twirling them. Did I make her uncomfortable? Probably.
       "Hey Mathew," she said softly. It knocked me out of my thought process.
      "Yeah?" I said back. She looked to her feet, like she wanted to say something but was arguing with herself about it.
      "I have something to tell you..." She stated.
