Chapter 19
Mathew
She quickly walked over to me, and gave me a short kiss on my cheek before running out and shutting the door, leaving me standing there like an idiot. The kiss lingered, the spark-ish feeling not subsiding till a few seconds later. She had kissed my cheek. She, her, Lilly. I was speechless. What does this mean? Does she like me? Or was it a friendly affection. Dazed and confused, I walked over to her white couch and sat down, thinking it over and over again in my head. She had kissed me. Lilly, the girl who I'd only known for about a week now, kissed my cheek. Why did my stomach do flips when I thought about it. Surely it can't be an 'I like you kiss', right? I smiled. Ever since Lilly came up to me in that park, ever since those idiots slashed her tires, my dark and boring world, got lighter. I looked forward to spending time with her, watching how she looked in awe at my cooking skills, how her smile brightened a room. How she cried when she punched Dalian in the face the first time, or how she had given me a kiss today. How she's totally gotten us out of trouble the second time she punched Dalian.
When you think about it, about Lilly and I ever getting into a relationship, most people would laugh to my face and say that it would never happen. Girls like her don't belong with me, as society would say. You know what I say? Screw society. Screw their 'goals'. We can do whatever the heck we want. We can love whoever we want, and we don't have to live up to their standards. We are our own person, and we choose our own fate.

I texted Aaron and Carter and told them what happened. God, I'm started to become like a girl..
Aaron: "What did I tell you. Whhat did I tell you!" I laughed at his spelling mistake.
Carter: "Aaron, shut up. Mathew, what do you think about it man?" He asked. I questioned the same thing, then replied.
Mathew: "I mean, I don't know. It was... nice." I said
Aaron: "You should go for it man." He said.
Carter: "Mathew, ask yourself if you want to first. You've only known her for a week..." He made a good point.
Mathew: "But its like I've known her for years..." Its true, we just, I don't know, clicked I guess. Cliche right.
Carter: "Do what you think is right. Jess says that if you break her heart, she'll break your face," He said. I laughed.
Mathew: "Noted, I have to go guys, talk to you later," I said.
Aaron: "Get it man," Aaron commented. I laughed and turned off my phone. I cant say anything to those two idiots.
"Hey Mathew? Brandon and I need to talk to you." Timothy said. I turned.
"Alright, shoot," I said, turning my attention to the two ten year old's.
"We know you like Lilly." Brandon said. I was taken aback.
"Uh, umm... I don't know that," I said, rubbing the back of my neck. How did these two 10 year old's figure this out before I did?
"Yeah you do, you're just not sure. We like you, you're cool." Timothy said. I let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding in.
"Okay, thanks?" I said, unsure on how to respond.
"You're welcome. We'll be upstairs, and your secrets safe with us," Brandon said. "Unless Lilly bribes we with chocolate, which probably wont happen..." He said, going up stairs with Timothy. Do I like Lilly? She's pretty, smart, way too nice, cool with my friends and my awkward personality, and she doesn't judge people. Well, I think that pretty much describes a dream girl huh? So I think I've just answered my own question. Do I like Lilly, the girl I've known for a solid week? Yes, I guess I do.
No. Comment.
