Chapter 14
Mathew
The bell rang and everyone ran like they were animals. I saw Lilly in the crowd, looking sternly at someone. Dalian. I stood up and was about to go over till-
"Kelly's got it, sit down," Carter said. I looked again and there Lilly was with Kelly and Jess.
"I'm still going over," I said, walking away from the table over to the girls.
"Do you want another punch to your ugly face Dalian?" Lilly said, trying to be brave. I walked behind him, seeing what e would do.
"Honey, you were wearing rings, and I don't see any now. YPUR just a little no-it-all who shouldn't be let off your leash," he said. I tapped his shoulder and he turned around, a smirk on his face.
"What are you, 8?" I said before punching him in the face, harder then Lilly would ever be able to. He grabbed his eye and fell to the floor.
"I see your body guard is back. What does she pay you? Probably like 10$ seeing as she pays for the cripple in her house," he said standing back up, a smile on his face. I was getting my hand ready again until Lilly stepping in front of us both.
"That's enough! You, go over there, you," she said, pointing to Dalian. "I don't need rings," she said, punching him in the face. "Stop talking about things you don't know about," she said, giving him a stare that I never thought she, this little innocent, fragile being could ever give. It was a death stare, and everyone's face paled. She look like she wouldn't hesitate to kill you that second.
Dalian stood up and just brushed himself off before sending her a glare of his own and walking over his friends.
"Why did you do that? I could've put him down in a minuet," I said. I was a little annoyed because I could've made him stop. She looked into my eyes with her dazzling emerald ones.
"Exactly, which would've made it worse when your not with me. I appreciate that you'd do that for me, stick up for me and everything, but you wouldn't be helping." She said softly.
"Mathew Johnson and Lilly Lycaster, to the principles office. Now," Mrs. Keels said over the schools intercom. I looked around our group and realized that everyone was looking at the sene we made.
"Well, I guess we'll see you guys later," Lilly said, giving the girls a hug. I heard Kelly whisper a 'good luck' and sent Lilly a smile. We left the cafeteria and went to the Principles office. I'd been here before, so I was fine, but Lilly looked like a vampire. She walked with pride in her step, but fear in her face.
"I have to get something before we go," she said shakily. Her locker was right near the front office, so we got there quick.
She put in her combination and got a light blue folder, tucking it under her arm before going into the principles.
"What's that?" I asked, looking to the folder.
"You'll see," she said, walking into the principles office with me.

"Please sit," Mrs. Keels said, pointing to the two chairs in front of her desk. We did as told and sat, waiting for her to finish her statement. "I have a very unhappy Mr. Dalian out there, claiming you both harmed him, and he's got the bruises to prove it. Plead your case Mrs. Lycatser," she said to Lilly. I was very confused, what did she mean?
"Thank you Mrs. Keels, we plead guilty, but, in here, you'll find every note, text, and threat Dalian James has ever sent to me." She said, handing her the folder. So that's what it's for... "He has been tormenting me since fourth grade your honor, and today he crossed a line. As you can see in paragraph 5, statement 7, he commented on my brother, you know which one. I felt as though he'd crossed a line. Imaginary of course. So I ask you, Mrs. Keels, who do you think deserves the blame. I rest my case," Lilly said, sitting down.
"Good case, Mrs. Lycaster. I say....." She said, dragging out the last word.
