rachel was at home getting ready for school when she heard a sound she wasnt that used to hearing her younger sister marley was giggling. it wasnt that marley didnt laugh or giggle ever it was just she was of a rather shy nature she was quiet half the time you didnt really know that marley rose berry was there.

rachel walked out of her room to her sisters and knocked on the closed bedroom door marley opened it a moment later blushing.

" marls" rachel asked

" hey rach im just getting ready for school" marley said

" are you ok" rachel asked

" yeah im fine are you" marley asked

" yeah im good um do you need a lift home today " rachel asked

" no" marley said rather quickly

" are you sure everything thing is alright" rachel asked

" yeah" marley said rachel decided not to pursue the matter.

later that day

when rachel was driving home from school there had been a car crash which had lead to a traffic diversion which meant she had to drive past lima oark on her way home. just as he was driving past the park she saw marley sat on a bench alone rachel concerned for her sister who was battling an eating disorder she pulled over to check she was alright.

only as rachel started to walk over to marley who was facing away from her and hadnt seen her rachel saw somebody else walking across the park in marley's direction. rachel watched as skylar smythe walked over and sat next to her sister before putting his arm around her.

rachel watched in shock as marley rested her head on skylar's shoulder rachel didnt know what to think but what she did know was she didnt want to confront marley right here right now.

so rachel turned and headee back to her car and headed home she would talk to marley later rachel knew who marley dated was upto her but skylar was a smythe and sebastian had caused nothing but trouble for ravhel and the new directions how could she be sure this wasnt some sort of a plan to knock the new directions off track.

later

marley arrived home just in time for dinner which rachel had made as their fathers were working later as usual.

" hey marls" rachel said as she carried their plates thtough to the dining table.

" hey rach " marley said she looked nervous as was holding her neck.

" have you hurt your neck" rachel asked

" no" marley exclaimed but remained wirh her right arm covering her neck.

" so what you been upto" rachel asked hoping her sister would be honest with her.

" nothing" marley said rachel frowned as she picked at her food.

" are you ok" marley asked

" well apart from the fact that i know your lying to me im fine" rachel said she wasnt angry she was upset she and marley had always been close and told each other everything.

" what are tou talking about" marley asked looking worried

" i saw you with skylar " rachel said

" oh" marley said

" why didnt you tell me" rachel asked

" i thought you wouldnt approve and i like him" marley said

" how did you even meet him its not like we hang out with the warblers anymore not since his brother took over" rachel said

" at the lima bean we were stood in line next to each other we just got talking" marley said

" you do know who his brother is dont you" rachel asked

" yes..." marley started to say.

" look marley who you date is upto you but i cant help been concerned when the younger brother of the guy who blackmailed me starts dating my own sister" rachel said

" you have a hicky" rachel said realising why her sister was covering her neck.

" rach please this is the first time i feel happy in a long time you know i struggle with things and he makes me happy please say you can accept this" marley said

" like i said its upto you who you date i accept he is your choice but it doesnt mean i wont worry about it" rachel said

" please dont tell our dads you know what their like im not ready for them to question me" marley said rachel understand her concern when she had brought her ex boyfriend finn Hudson to meet her dads they had basically stood him in the living room and questioned him about his future plans his family health history and they had questioned rachel for about two hours as to why she tnought he was worthy of her.

" fine i wont" rachel said marley smiled at her.

" how long have you two..." rachel started to ask
