" rachel " marley said looking at her sister

" im ok im coming" rachel said following marley into the cabin her mind was racing now though.

" well hello rachel" sj said seeing her as her and marley walked out of french doors onto a decked area by the lake.

" hi " rachel said

" lovely to see you again" maggie said rachel handed her the buns.

" thank you you didnt have too" maggie said

" marls rachel i got you both a drink" skylar called they both made their way over to him and sat t a wooden table there was two table one where their dad and grandparents were sat and on where skylar marley and rachel were now at. sebastian was no where to be seen rachel couldnt help but feel awkward now the party his parents had had was different marley wanted her there. rachel wadnt exactly sure why she was here now and she wondered if sebastian's sudden absence was because he knew she had found out from marley that marley hadnt had any idea they would be coming up to the lake.

" we are going out on the boat later" charles said

" oh rach the boat is amazing" marley said pointing just furter down frommthe cabin racgel saw a very nice very expensive looking boat tied up.

as she was looking rachel sensed someone sit down next to her she turned and saw sebastian sat there.

" this is nice" skylar said

" food wont be a moment " maggie said she and her mom lily were plating up the food.

as they sat eating rachel relaxed alittle as the adults were bust reminiscing skylar was tell her and marley of funny things that had happed at the cabin.

" i love it here i remember when you brought me and we went out on the boat it was like stepping into another world its so beautiful so peaceful " marley said to skylar.

" it must have been a nice surprise when you were asked to come here today" rachel said to marley but watched sebastian out of the corner of her eye he fidgeted in his seat.

" yeah it was" skylar said but rachel caught the look he gave sebastian rachel knew something was going on.

" shall we clear the tables seb" skylar asked sebastian jumped up immediately and started clearing the plates.

sebastian carried the plates into the kitchen skylar followed him inside carrying various glasses and cutlery.

" alright whats happened why is rachel uncomfortable why are you acting like a child been cwught doing something you shouldnt" skylar said

" sky..." sebastian started to say.

" you already admitted to me that you like her so dont try to dodge my question" skylar said

" i invited her here" sebastian said

" i figured that much" skylar said

" i asked her if she wanted to come then i freaked out thinking what was she thinking so i said marley wanted her here" sebastian said

" you know for a well educated guy your quite dumb didnt you see the obvious flaw to your plan their sisters they tell each other everything" skylar said

" i know that i just really wanted to spend time with her" sebastian said

" you dont like her" skylar said looking at him.

" yes i do" sebastian said wondering why skylar had said that.

" no srb you dont like her you love her your inlove with rachel" skylar said

" tell her" skylar said

" how am i supposed to do that she doesn't like me" sebastian said

" seb she is here isnt she" skylar said

" yeah because i told her her sister wanted her here" sebastian said

" yeah and upon discovering that she hasnt left" skylar said

" why do i always make things so complicated " sebastian sighed.

" everything ok" charles asked walking inside.

" no" sebastian said

" sky why dont you take marley and rachel another drink" charles said

" sure" skylar said pouring the drinks before leaving.

" so rachel is here" charles said

" yep" sebastian said

" and yet you look pained" charles said

" i lied to her" sebastian said he told his dad about telling her marley wanted her here

" here is an idea if and when rachel confronts you about it and asks why you lied simply say its because you wanted her here and see how she reacts" charles said

" im such an idiot " sebastian said

" hey come on your not an idiot your in love " charles said

" whats the difference " sebastian asked

" seb your putting off telling her but your only making things worse for yourself just tell her" charles said putting his hand on his shoulder.

" but she will say no if i ask her out" sebastian said

" then you help change her mind your a smythe we know how to get what we want" charles said

" rachel is as stubborn as i am" sebastian said

" i say the same thing about your mom and i...now come on lets go back outside" charles said

" right then shall we get on the boat" charles asked

the afternoon had turned out quite nice after the initial awkwardness she had relaxed on the boat it was amazing however now it was tine to go home which meant been alone with sebastian.

after saying goodbye to everyone rachel followed sebastian to his car she felt awkward it was like he was avoiding her.

they drove in silence for a around ten minutes before sebastian gave in and put the radio on.

" those buns were nice" sebastian said a few minutes later.

" yeah they were" rachel said and they fell once more into an awkward silence.

finally they reached her house and marley and skylar were stood kissing by his car on the driveway.

" thank you for the lift" rachel said and got out of the car she was surprised that sebastian did the same and she turned to look at him.

" i think we should talk..." sebastian said
