Something Is Up
Here is chapter 13 thanks Descendantsfan03 for letting me use the quints in this chapter it means a lot to me💖
Michi briskly walks through the corridor after her shift, hoping desperately no one would stop her today. She really just wanted to watch Netflix and chill with her pup tonight. And she finally made it through the hospital's doors without being stopped.
On the ride home it was quiet Michi. The classical music she always had playing was quietly soothing her. She couldn't wait to get home, shower and eat, but before Michi could even think of a guy walking right in front of her car causing her to break harshly, "What the Hell!" Michi says as the man banged on her window. Michi quickly grabbed one of her scalpels just in case this was some perp, but something was telling her she wasn't in danger.
"You da doctor that saved the passengers, help me, help me." The man says before collapsing on the ground. Michi quickly checks the man after noticing three bullet holes in his upper chest. He definitely wasn't going to make it to the hospital. How the heck was she going to save this guy alone?
"Alright dude hold on." Michi says quickly, grabbing her medical bag and quickly forces it open as she grabs her scalpel to take out the bullets. She makes quick and small incisions as she extracts the bullets, putting pressure on the wounds as she goes. She didn't have everything she needed, but she did have enough gauze to stabilize him until she got back to the hospital.
…………
Michi quickly walks back through the corridors following the guy on a gurney that had collapsed in front of her car. She was not going to actually finish on him. She trusted one of her colleagues to do that.
But when she started to leave again.the guy started muttering to her to "Stay," and that "She was the only one they could trust." Michi just sighs quickly pulling on scrubs and getting ready to go into surgery.
Still so confused on what the heck this man was talking about, but leaving that thought behind she went in to finish her job.
……….
Angelina was staying at Olive's house, and Olive did not like it one bit. Olive was used to random strangers coming to her house and residing with them; they were basically the Waltons in current time, but there was something different about this woman. Something that made Olive uneasy.
Her parents nudge it off as being afraid and Cal adored Angelina making Olive feel like an outcast again in her own family. Angelina kept on stealing her stuff and trying to act like her and she was so scared that something bad would happen. So she packed her bookbag and headed over to Georgie's house hoping that her old babysitter would let her stay for a little while.
She walks into the house where Georgie was pulling her hair up in a small bun, her bag full of makeup packed and her smock on. "Hey Ol, what are you doing here?" Georgie questions her voice sounded stressed and a little tired.
"I need to talk to someone who's not my family that trusts way too blindly," Olive says and Georgie nods in understanding as she pulls her two dogs' vest on.
"Well I was getting ready to go to work. You can come along if you'd like. We can get milkshakes on the way in." Georgie says and Olive nods enthusiastically. Georgie grabs the pup's leashes. "Alright then come on." Georgie told the girl as they got into her car.
………..
"So what's up Ol," Georgie asks quietly as they make their way into the theater where Georgie worked, shakes in hand. Olive was about to answer until someone knocked into Georgie harshly. To Olive it seemed to be on purpose. Georgie didn't even react though.
"Well welcome back," The guy that bumped into her sneers and Georgie just rolls her eyes. "You know I was actually hoping you would stay wherever you went. You don't belong here. No one from the curse does," The man says and Georgie just walks right past him to where she did makeup work.
"Why was that guy so mean to you? And why didn't you stand up for yourself?" Olive asks in confusion and Georgie just sighs setting up her stuff as the dogs growl at the man from where they sat.
"It's because I am associated with the passengers of flight 828, everyone here thinks they're cursed. I learned to just ignore them. I'm doing what I love and need to do," Georgie tells Olive who nods slowly. She couldn't believe they were spreading rumors about someone as kind and loving as Georgie.
"That's just horrible, you don't deserve that!" Olive exclaims and Georgie just nods. She agreed, but it was just the life she was living. She was used to it by now since it had been going on for months.
"I'm used to it, now what do you need to talk about?" Georgie questions Olive who sighs as well, looking at her good friend.
"Angelina is freaking me out. She is obsessed with Eden and is trying to act like me. It's really weird and I have a really bad feeling about her, but whenever I tell someone they blow me off. Just because I don't get the callings doesn't mean I'm dumb." Olive grants out and Georgie nods slowly listening to the sixteen year old. That did sound very strange.
"I've been getting the same feeling as well, I've been wanting to call Drea and ask her to keep watch, but Michaela already keeps her on her toes. I'll ask her what she thinks tonight after work." Georgie says and Olive nods.
"Miss Georgie can I stay with you for a little while, just until Angelina leaves?" Olive asks and Georgie nods slowly. She knew Grace and Ben might be mad, but she didn't want Olive to feel unsafe.
"Call your mom and ask, but it's okay with me." Georgie says and Olive smiles thankfully as she hugs Georgie muttering thank you under her breath.
…….
Their home was quiet that night, until Georgie's phone rang, seeing it was Tessa wanting to video call. She shortly debated answering, but did anyway to see a few of her friends on the screen. "Hey guys," Georgie says forcing a smile onto her tired face.
"Hey Georgie, how are you? It's been a while since we actually spoke to one another!" Tessa says excitedly since Georgie rarely answers her phone anymore. Georgie thinks of what to say. Should she mention how crazy and terrifying this year has been, or should she just play it cool, and lie.
"I'm great, I have just been very busy lately." How are you guys, how are you?" Georgie asks curiously as she hears Olive talking on her phone, most likely to TJ.
"We've been good, just busy with our respective jobs. So Miss therapist are you doing therapist stuff?" Lola asks playfully and Georgie rolls her eyes.
"Stop calling me that, I'm a therapy dog handler not a therapist, and yeah I still do that sometimes when I'm not busy." Georgie informed before Olive came in looking panicked.
"Miss Georgie, we have a problem!" Olive says quickly and Georgie looked at her in confusion before hearing a crash from her living room. Georgie just quickly took it in stride as she didn't want her friends to worry or ask any questions. They did not need to be associated with this.
"I have to go guys. Pumpkin must have got on the counter again. I'll call you guys soon." Georgie says before ending the call. Olive just looks at her and nods thankfully.
"You're a horrible liar." Olive says bluntly and Georgie's pup nods in agreement. Georgie just sighs. They were most definitely right.
"I know," Georgie says just as bluntly as she looks at brick that had been hurled into her house it had a graffitied X on it and Georgie groans, "I'll call Drea," Georgie says grabbing her phone and Olive nods.
"I'll call Auntie Mick." Olive tells her pulling out her own phone to call her Aunt
