Pan-Pan
Thanks Descendantsfan03 for letting me use the triplets and mention the quints it means a lot to me💖
"That can't be right can it?" Georgie asks with a gulp. Suddenly it was a little harder to breathe. She was not expecting that at all and by the looks of it neither did Drea. What were they supposed to do now?
"Hey, Georgie you gotta calm down, we'll figure this out together like everything else. We're never going to let anything like that happen," Drea reassured her voice steady and calm. "Breathe with me G come on." Drea says quietly and Georgie does so slowly.
"Sorry Dre, I... I should've known, Daley warned us he saw something in 2024 that we can't. "We're in such deep waters that we may not be able to get out of." Georgie spoke forgetting Tesa was even in the room as the two detectives try to digest what was just thrown at them.
"What's going on?" Tessa asks in confusion, worry filling her gaze. Both women snapped their heads up and Georgie shook her head. She couldn't tell Tessa that she may only have two more years to live if they didn't figure out how to break the curse. Georgie looks to Drea for some help with this lie since Georgie was horrible at lying to peoples faces.
"It's just a little bump in the road is all nothing to worry about," Drea replied calmly although her gaze was still on Georgie and the book that was now firmly closed a bookmark where the two had left off.
"Yeah we're honestly used to it Tess, all will be fine... eventually." Georgie repeats after Drea albeit a bit shakily.
"Auntie's what wrong . I have not seen you like that since car crash." Eden says with confusion and fear the child was honestly used to seeing her aunt worried, but like this was a totally different ballpark.
Georgie lets out a short breath, "Eden go back and play with the triplets. We're fine, just a little surprised<" Georgie replies calm enough to make Eden believe her, but not without a quirked eyebrow. Dang having a highly perceptive child.
Drea and Georgie then locked eyes having a quick conversation before Drea heads to her room to chill out. Nala loyally followed behind. Georgie sighs motioning for Tessa to sit down. She really wanted her best friend to leave so she could get working, but she couldn't be rude either.
"She also really needed to go check on Drea, but Drea could wait. Nala was with her the s"This doesn't just seem like a bump in the road G, I've never seen you this upset before, not even with your father. What's going on?" Tessa asks calmly and Georgie forces her voice to sound neutral.
"I promise Tessa it's nothing that bad the calling was just a bit of a shock. You should have seen the one last week." Georgie half heartedly jokes, deciding to do a half lie because the calling last week was terrifying in its own way.
Tessa just nods, finally dropping the subject to Georgie's great relief. "Alright then if you're sure." Tessa replies and Georgie nods she was sure at least for Tessa's sake she was. She was definitely not getting another person in this deadly mix.
That's when Tessa's phone begins chiming and Tessa gives a sad smile. "I have to go, we have to be home for dinner." I'll see you later, okay?" Tessa asks and Georgie nods slowly. She wanted to forbid her friends from her house, but she couldn't do that. It would make them more concerned.
"Okay," she mutters.
..........
It had been a few hours since Tessa had left, leaving Georgie, Drea and Eden alone in their little house, but Drea hadn't come out of her bedroom yet. Georgie could tell something was up. Drea was strong and overly annoying, but when she read that this could possibly kill them she acted like it was fine. She had been fidgeting and Nala had put her head on her lap. Georgie never saw the puppy do that before, and it worried her a bit.
After she made sure Eden was in her room Georgie opened the door to her friend's classy room that had a mixture of Japanese things and American things. Drea adored both parts of her ethnicity. The only thing that seemed totally out of place with everything was a lilac dog bed that lay on the floor beside the bed. must have bought for Nala when she started sleeping in here.
Georgie opens the door a bit wider hearing muffled talking. "I wish we could stop getting nearly killed every time we walk out the door. It makes me so paranoid sometimes. People think I'm crazy, and now we may die. I may have wished for it a few times in my life, but now it terrifies me." Drea told her confidant who just snuggles in closer.. "Nal, what if we can't fix this in time. I'm having a hard enough time helping take care of Eden. I have a few cousins, but none have an ability or are going through something like this. Now we don't even know if we'll survive the curse. I cannot believe I got in such deep waters, and it's not even an undercover op. Maybe mom was right, she always has been. I wasn't cut out for this job. Maybe my real job is to try to get a job at her company. " Drea says sadly, petting Nala lightly.
Georgie finally decides to make her presents know she never realized just how much Drea was hurting right now. She had put on such a strong facade, "Your mom was wrong, she always has been." Georgie says quietly, causing Drea to tense up. Georgie just continues, "You aren't just some rich girl whose job is to marry rich, you are so much more than that and you know it. You chose a hard working job that you wanted. Sure it's not exactly what you thought, but your stIll doing an honorable job of protecting people. I need you on my team." Georgie told Drea who nodded.
"D why didn't you tell me? We're a team we're supposed to have each other's back physically and mentally. You're always there for me when I get overwhelmed. Georgie told Drea who was still petting Nala who lies on Drea's knees. The brunette just sighs as she looks at Georgie and then Nala. She hated feeling this weak.
"Because I don't want to be a burden! You already have enough on your plate I couldn't tell you so I resorted to telling Nala about it and it really helped." Drea says as Georgie sighs Drea was just as stubborn as she was when it came to admitting weakness at this point. So instead she gets an idea if they talk about it maybe they could figure this out together.
"Come on D, Yessa left so we can finally talk about that book and what it means for us freely now. So let's get back to work." Georgie says and Drea nods following Georgie back to the office.
...........
"Michi, you need to calm down, you're going to wear a hole in the carpet." Her brother speaks, but she can barely understand her mind still racing about what Drea had told her just an hour or so before, and she completely forgot it was dinner with her older brother tonight. She needed to act calm and normal, but after hearing that if they don't fix the curse on time she might die. Well... yeah how was she going to act normal, she was still processing all of this.
"Sorry," Michi gulps, finally stopping her pacing as her pup, Sakura whimpers, wanting to be held, knowing it would help keep her owner calm. Michi does so with a quiet sigh. "What's got you so tizzy anyways?" Daimen asks Michi gulps. She couldn't tell him about this; he would think she was crazy.
"It was just a rough day at work. That's all Michi breathes out, and Daimen nods in understanding. They had the unspoken rule that Daimen was not allowed to ask about anything work related which means he would drop the subject.
"Alright then, just come on now, dinner is ready and I made your favorite." Daimen says and Michi forces a smile as she follows her brother and then her twin niece and nephew sighing.
She had to act like hers and Drea's lives weren't at risk. He couldn't know, nobody could know. This whole thing had to stay between the three. No need to worry anyone else until closer to time...
