Georgie sighs as she sits on her bed. Olive and Cal were at school. Ben and Grace  were following  a calling and Michaela was working  on a case, and Georgie had the day off to research. She didn't  know yet just how crazy today would be.

That is until a rock was thrown through  her bedroom window. Which freaked Georgie  out and scared her. So she calls Michaela  quickly only trusting  her cop friend to help her figure this out

Drea quickly trails behind Michaela as they walk up to Georgie's  house. The brunette  was starving; she hadn't  eaten in quite a few days due to helping  Michaela with finding  the meth heads. That is until their case got turned to investigate  Georgie's  house after her house had been broken into by who she could only suppose was the Xer's.

Ben was terrified his wife had gone into labor at seven months pregnant and the doctor said it looked bad. They said the chances were not good for both to survive, and gave him a choice between  his beloved wife or the baby. Ben knew what Grace  would want, but he couldn't  lose her, not when he had just got her back.

It started as a shared calling  between them and then Adrien had once again driven them to a point  of no return. Adrien was ruining  his life first by trying  to corrupt his daughter  then accidentally  setting  off his wife. And now the stupid doctor who was supposed  to help them was stuck in traffic. 

"Ben, what are you doing  here? What's  wrong with Grace." a familiar  voice he knew as Zeke  says his voice was quiet and somewhat  alarmed.

"She's  in preterm labor and they left me with the hardest choice in the world. Something  is wrong with Grace  placenta and giving birth puts her at extreme risk of not pulling  through. The experienced  doctor isn't  here yet, and my life is falling  apart. " Ben ranted before  a young  woman walked in with a nurse behind  her.

"There's  some good news. I found  a surgeon who knows and has done the surgery  once before. If we do the surgery  now, maybe both will be able to live." The nurse said a little hope in her voice as the young woman in front of him offered a reassuring  smile.

"Are you sure she knows how to do this? She looks rather young." Ben told the nurse and he could  see the young surgeon's face fall, but she also gave an eyeroll. 

"She graduated  top of her class and has experience. Plus wouldn't  you rather she try than having  both your wife and child die?" The nurse asks and Ben sighs reluctantly  nodding. 

"Do your thing Dr…" Ben started before  he realized he didn't  know the surgeon's name. The woman just smiled again, giving Ben  a reassuring  look.

"Mikami." She supplies for him and both Zeke and Ben look at her in confusion, that was Michaela's  best friend's last name. There was a slight awkward silence. That is until the doctor spoke up. "Get her prepped. I'm  going  to make sure my team is ready and there's a place open in NICU. Don't  worry Mr. Stone I'm  going  to everything  in my power to make sure your wife and baby will make it through." The woman says before  briskly walking  out to get ready for the surgery.

"Is it me being out of my mind or does she have the exact last name of my sister's teammate?" Ben questions  Zeke and Zeke looks at his soon to be brother in law.

"Yep, they have to be related, especially  since Mikami  isn't  exactly a common  name. If I had to say she's  probably  the younger sister or cousin of Drea. Who she never mentioned before  Zeke says before  a whole crew of people come in.

 "We're  going  to take her in now it will take a little while to do, but I  promise as soon as we're done I  will come and get you. I recommend  you call any family  at this time and tell them what's going  on." The Doctor says and Ben  and Zeke nod heading  to the waiting room leaving the woman and her team to work.

"I'll  call Georgie. " Ben says and Zeke nods a understanding as he grabs his own smartphone 

"I'll  call Mick." Zeke told Ben  and they called their mini family they didn't  expect the two to be together though.

Georgie, Michaela and Drea carpooled to the hospital together at Mick's brother's request. When they all heard Grace  and the baby were in surgery they knew it was bad. Not to mention  it sounded like Ben would kill someone soon.

In the waiting room Georgie  tried not to pace the floor after hours of waiting.  "How long is this procedure  supposed to take? Do you think everything  is okay?" Georgie  asks and Drea nods.

"Don't  worry I  have a friend who was into medical stuff when we were younger and she said it takes a while to do surgeries right. Fortunately no news is good news. I'm  sure they'll  be fine." Drea says and Ben and Zeke just look at Drea sort of connecting the dots. "Georgie calm down, it'll  all be fine." Drea says and Georgie  nods slowly.

A few minutes  later Ben's good friend and confidant came in with the kids who immediately  came over to Georgie. Right then a nurse comes in. "Stone family!" She called and Ben immediately stood going  over to the nurse.

"How is my wife?" He asks the other coming up behind  him. The nurse just looks down for a minute  making  Ben's  heart sink, but then she looks back up with a smile.

"She's  doing fine, so is your child. Dr. Mikami is making  sure of that. Which is the reason why she's  not telling  you this." The nurse says and Ben  smiles happily, so does the rest of the family. 

"Can we go see her?" Ben questions  and the nurse quickly looks at the crowd of people. 

"Of course, but I recommend  only  four at the time. She is still a bit out of it from the pain medication and the doctor still has some tests to run through to make sure everything  is okay. Ben nods in understanding trying to decide who else should go with him. 

"Come on, kids , let 's go see mom." Ben says, but Cal refuses to move for a minute, that is until  Georgie comes over to him. Ben and Michaela gave a look at one another having  a silent conversation before nodding. 
"Kids, do you want Georgie  to come with us?" Ben questions and the kids nod

"Are you sure I'm  not  technically family shouldn't Mick to go first?" Georgie  asks and Michaela  shakes her head no. 

"We'll  still be able to see her plus Zeke wants to see his father who is also here apparently. So take your time." Michaela  says with a slight grin and Georgie  nods as the nurse starts leading  them to Grace's  room.

Grace smiled at seeing her family come into the room. She was very sore from whatever the surgeon did, but was happy to know both she and her baby were okay. "Hi hon,  how are you feeling?"  Ben asks pulling up a chair next to his wife meanwhile  the two children just stood at either side of Georgie  looking  at their mother who thankfully  looked fine.

"I'm  sore, but otherwise fine, just super glad the baby is okay." Grace says and Ben nods Grace then looks over to the kids who were standing  by Georgie  Grace just motions for them to come closer.

"You really scared us." Olive says and Grace nods she knew Olive had a date with TJ, the fine boy who was also on flight 828 today, she probably  got  the call right when this started.

"I know Ol, but I'm okay and so is the baby." Grace reassures  as the doctor comes back in to check on them. Checking  her vitals and looking  at the incision they had made to make sure it wasn't  getting  infected.  

"This will heal up nicely'' she mutters and Grace  nods looking  at the doctor as did the others.

"So doc, how long until I  can take my wife and baby home." Ben asks Michi who just looks at her records, and smiles  a little.

"We would like to keep your wife here for another few days. The child on the other hand will have to stay here for at least another month since it's not fully developed  yet. We usually  release healthy babies around  week thirty six of the actual pregnancy unless there's  complications." The kind doctor told them and Ben nodded.

"Are you going  to be watching  over my baby?" Grace asks and Michi silently shakes her head no. 

"Ma'am, I'm  a surgeon. Most of my life here is in surgeries or prepping  for them. I don't  do NICU trips often unless it's something like this. But I  reassure you I'll  have one of the best doctors who work in that unit take care of her." The doctor says Grace shook her head.

 She didn't  know if it was because  of the doctor possibly being related to Drea or just because  she was calm and seemed trustworthy  but she wanted this doctor to watch over her child. "Are you sure there isn't  any way you can watch over her? I don't  trust them easily.

"I'm  not qualified  ma'am.  I do have a friend who is though. We work together often. I'll  call her in and introduce you if you still don't  feel comfortable. I might be able to talk to my boss and see if I can oversee the NICU for learning experience. Until then I can try and stay in there as much as possible.  Since I'm  technically  off the clock. I just need to change and grab some food otherwise my brother might get me I promise we'll  give your baby the best care." Michi says and Grace nods in understanding  watching the young doctor leave.

And Drea come in quickly, "Georgie  we need you there's  a problem with Zeke and Mick asked for you." Drea says and Georgie sighs looking  at Grace. 

"Alright  lead the way. Olive, do you want TJ to come  in?" Georgie  asks and the girl nods. Georgie  just nods ready for whatever was coming  next.
