Not Over Yet
Ugh, I can't find anything that connects the beginning of their story to the end of it!" Georgie told Olive and Drea with a groan. It was a little past ten pm and Eden was sleeping in her bed as the three adults worked on getting this story straight.
"I know we've literally been working on this everyday for weeks now, and we still haven't figured out the tiny bit that is so crucial for us. " Olive says looking at Brook who yawned. That's when all three were shooting. Making all three duck as something goes through the windows.
"Dang it they found where I lived. Pups get Eden to safety now" Georgie says, making the three get up and run to the room . Nala just growls from her spot with Georgie. Drea quickly grabbed her gun as Georgie grabbed a knife and a gun that she had been working on learning how to use.
They quickly got into positions to shoot. Georgie watches for any sign of movement. "Remember G, if it comes down to it." Drea started as Georgie nods.
"It's kill or be killed I know.." Georgie says she was going to get into so much trouble with the law if it actually happened. The gun fire ceased for just a moment, but Georgie and Drea didn't fall for the trick and stayed down. That's when Georgie heard her door open. Drea quickly turned her gun. Georgie kept her gun trained on the outside just in case.
"Nala go!" Both Drea and Georgie call out as Nala nods, and goes off quickly barking crazily when she enters the kitchen area. "Georgie let's go, but we need to be careful he definitely has a gun if the bullet holes in your window says anything about it. You go the back way, I'll go the front. Do you havmy back if he tries to shoot?" Drea asks as Georgie nods.
"Always, we're a team now. I'm not going to let anyone harm you now let's go!" Georgie says as she quickly walks around one as Drea went to the other.
"NYPD put your hands up." Drea said once they were in position. The guy doesn't put the gun down and instead turns the other way, starting to shoot at Georgie's side. Both instantly took a chance and shot the guy. Causing him to hit the floor.
Both look at each other out of breath. "Alright that was terrifying." Georgie says as Drea nods.
"What should we do with the body. You know the rest of the police force doesn't care about what happened to us." Drea says as Georgie shrugs, looking at the person that was now dead on the floor. She had no idea what to do with it; that's when her surroundings changed.
They were back at the lake where a lot of things had happened. There was a guy there as well that she had never seen before. He had a gun with him. "It's not over yet!" A voice called gently, before growing louder, "It's not over yet." Georgie just shuddered coming out of the calling. That was vague but she had to guess this guy wasn't the only person who wanted her dead.
"He's not the only one, Drea. " Georgie says as Drea instantly knows what she meant and groans. "But we need to make this guy disappear. Same with the blood. Edens probably so scared, I don't want to scare her more with a stranger that is dead." Georgie says before a glowing light surrounded the body, and it disappeared.
"Okay, I'm learning not to question it, but wow!" Drea says as Georgie rolls her eyes she wasn't even phased by it anymore.
"Alright calling. So you can make blood and a person disappear but when it comes to the window I have to end up paying for it?" Georgie asks somewhat madly. As Drea could not help but laugh this was the ninth time that Georgie would have to fix one of her windows and well she felt for the young woman it was also kind of funny
"Come on let's go check on Eden and Olive." Drea says as Georgie nods heading to Eden's room where she heard crying from the closet Georgie carefully opened the closet door.
"Aunt Georgie! That was so scary! What happened!" Eden asks latching on to Georgie who winces. Her shoulder was really starting to hurt her.
"Miss George are you okay!" Olive asks sitting down on the floor and hugging her friend who just nods. Eden was crying on her and Olive looked like she was about to too.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm okay, it's all taken care of. I'm sorry it scared you. Shh." Georgie reassures, rocking both girl back and forth as best she could. Olive eventually got up again after calming down as Georgie sighs looking to Eden who was finally falling back to sleep.
"Eden, auntie's going to go back to bed now okay." Georgie asks as the child nods sluggishly as Georgie puts her back in bed. "Goodnight Eden I love you." Georgie says ,as Eden yawns snuggling in her bed with Pumpkin.
"Goodnight Auntie," Eden says as Georgie smiles closing the door and leaving the room going back to her own room where Drea and Olive were still talking about the myth.
"Good work earlier, Georgie. We've got him, but are you okay? All the bullets he shot were in your direction.
"I'm fine, I think the bullet proof vest did it's job." Georgie says as Drea nods looking to her shoulder which Drea saw a hole in the fabric.
"Yeah it did, very well. It looks like a bullet entered your left shoulder." Drea says as Georgie looks down. She had been to busy to realize.
"Well that explains why my shoulder is starting to hurt." Georgie says as Drea nods, helping Georgie take her bulletproof vest to access the damage. Georgie just tries not to wince. Not wanting to let her friend know how much it was hurting her, but it hurt like hell.
"Oh that's definitely not the worst I've seen, but it's not the best either. That must hurt a lot." Drea says as Georgie winces when Drea touches her shoulder.
"It's not that bad, better than being shot in the shoulder I'm sure." Georgie says trying to play it off. Olive and Drea both give her a look as Nala whimpers nuzzling Georgie. "Alright fine it hurts a lot, but I'll be fine" Georgie says as Olive walks out. Grabbing some ice for Georgie's shoulder.
"Here Miss Georgie put this on it. Og will help with swelling. " Olive says as Georgie just nods thankfully, putting it on her shoulder carefully.
"I would and should say we should go to the hospital, but since you could be at risk going there I would say just take it easy for a few week. It's possible that you sprained your collarbone. I have a sling from when I broke my collarbone, and I suggest not carrying too much weight." Drea says as Georgie looks to Drea as if she was crazy.
"I have a five year old. I'm pretty sure not taking it easy and heavy lifting is part of that job." Georgie says as Drea chuckles at Georgie .
"How about if I stay over for a while. I can help with Eden. Plus if this happens again I need to be here. I know you're perfectly independent and fine on your own..--" Drea started as Georgie chuckles.
"It's fine you can stay over. You have a point we're basically a team now, and I'm going to need all the help I can get. The guest room is over that way. We can get your stuff tomorrow Georgie says as Drea nods. She was surprised Georgie was actually letting her stay. But so relieved they worked better together, and it was safer to be in pairs at this point. They would fight this together and if the three woman worked together they would be able to accomplish what was needed, but only together could they do it.
