Hey everyone here's part two of this mini story I hope that you enjoy if you do vote and comment 💖
"I guess we should take Eden back home for a bit. Do you want to come Georgie?" Michaela asks Georgie who shakes her head no. Ben had told her not to step foot in his house again and she was going to respect that. Plus she needed to start her research now of she were to save the passengers on time.
"No I think I'll stay here and respect his wishes. Plus I have some work to get done around here. So yeah..." Georgie told the Stones who just nod. Olive really wanted Georgie to come with them, but knew she knew Georgie had her reason. And they leave once they were gone Georgie quickly locks the door looking at Brook and grabbing her most recent allegory book.
Georgie sits down gently on her bed, carefully reading the pages over again. She then pulls her phone out searching for books on the subject of the lost boat in this allegory. A quote instantly came up after she hit search. It read, "Take it back to where it's meant to be. Is the only way to save ye." Georgie just reads it again before clicking on the book cover that was on and then searchings it in her local library. Seeing that they had the book available
"Come on Brook, we're going to the library." Georgie told her puppy who scrambled over to Georgie's bag, and jumping inside. Georgie looked at her other pups who were still asleep and sighs. She could trust Lily with them.
………
Georgie returns home two hours later and literally locks herself in the room as she needed peace and quiet to read and understand what was going on. Brook quickly joins her and Mira does too while Lily had taken the other pups to the park. "Alright girls let's see what we can find." Georgie told the dogs as she flips through the first book reading the first page aloud
"This is a story of a ship that disappears and reappears five years later. This is what really happened. Hundreds of people boarded a ship to get where they were trying to get home. The ship was as new as new could be at the time, and everyone was relying on the ship to keep them safe. One passenger had something very special. A necklace of sorts around her neck claiming she had found it on the shore. The necklace was not what it seemed though. The necklace had a piece of bark on it that held a pearl." Georgie told her pups as she flips a few pages to get to a more important part.
"Stop!" Brook barks reading a bit that she had saw. Georgie just stops and looks at her dog. "It says here that this necklace was made with the piece of the ark, and that was the reason the boat disappeared... Georgie was that necklace on anyone on that plane?" Brook asks as Georgie shook her head. Recalling the board on Ben's garage wall.
"None of them was wearing that specific piece of jewelry. It could be something else though, but what Georgie asks quietly as she heard the door open. It takes everything for Georgie not to go out of her room as she knew it was only Olive and she was way too invested on reading at this point. So she looks to Brook. "Do you see anything else Brook?" Georgie asks the dog who quickly turns back to the book and scanning the pages again.
………
"Huh, Miss Georgie's car was in the driveway I wonder where she is Olive tells her aunt and uncle as she walked through the house before noticing that Georgie's door was closed and locked. "Miss Georgie are you in there?" Olive calls out as she heard footsteps come towards the door, and Georgie unlocked it and opened it.
"I was just listening to some music." Georgie says quickly lying as she didn't want anyone to know about her project until she was sure she was correct on it. Olive just nods as she looked to Georgie. Georgie instantly feels that Olive was afraid and looked to her dead in the eye. "What happened?"
"We seriously need your help calming my brother down. He's threatening to kill someone, and I actually believe him. He had hurt people for his family before and he's already in enough trouble with the law, and you're the only one other then Grace who can calm him down." Michaela told Georgie who sighs, but nods in defeat she wasn't looking forward to this, but it had to be done.
"Come on Mira, come on Brook let's go, but stay close. I don't want Ben to hurt you." Georgie says as both dogs nod in agreement. Georgie then sighs as she walks over to the house across the street. Carefully stepping inside her dogs closely following behind. Ben almost immediately sees her and come storming near her making Georgie flinch as she hadn't had the best relationship with older men.
"I told you you were not welcome here!" Ben screams out as Georgie just sighs trying not to flinch again.
"This is not good for you Ben." Georgie says trying to find her voice as she wasn't really mad at Ben like she usually was when she did this, but she had to do this apparently fighting is the only way Ben responded. "If you keep living like this you'll destroy yourself and your whole family." Georgie calls out less timidly this time.
"Don't tell me how I should feel. You don't know what losing someone feels like!" Ben calls out as Georgie looks down to her necklace she knew very well what someone felt like. Her parents were all but dead to her, and the two people she use to trust with her whole heart were gone.
"I may not know exactly what you are going through, but I know how it feels to lose one. Yesterday morning at ten I lost one of my best friends to a tragic death. I was scared out of my mind and so mad at whoever would do such a thing to her. I was mad that the person who accepted me and trusted me with her secrets and worries, and made me feel like a part of a family I never had growing up. I miss her too Ben and so do so many other people your not going through this alone." Georgie tells Ben who just rolls his eyes, and walks closer to Georgie.
"I lost my wife. There's no reason for me not to get revenge!" Ben yells right in Georgie's face.
"Revenge is not the answer!" George says an edge on her voice as she looks to Ben who without warning slapped her face. Georgie winces, but stands her ground.
"Know your place!" Ben yells as Georgie takes a deep breath trying to stop the panic attack, and then looks him straight in the eye having an idea.
"If hitting me makes you feel better than go ahead I won't fight! But hitting me is not going to bring her back Ben! Trust me I know from experience. All you can do in this situation is get back up and keep doing what is needed to be done. This is not finished Ben. The 828ers need your help. We all need your help don't give up Ben, and don't kill anyone you may sink the lifeboat further." Georgie says not regretting any of her words she then bows her head waiting for another slap to come her way. Suddenly she felt something calm in Ben, but she still keeps her head bowed just in case.
"I'm not going to hit you again." Ben finally says after a few minutes as Georgie sighs in relief, but is still very careful as she was still nervous since her father use to say that, but would still hit her. "I just... I don't know what I'm going to do without her... I totally forgot about everyone else who was grieving. I really hate Angelina for killing her, but I guess you're right I've already dig myself into a big enough hole." Ben says as Georgie nods in acknowledgement, as she grabs her instant ice kit from her bag putting it on her face, to stop swelling and maybe stop the sting.
"I understand, and as long as you're not going to kill anyone my work is done. Come on pups." Georgie says swiftly walking away towards the door her dogs following behind.
"You okay Georgie he hit you pretty hard." Olive says as Georgie just gives a smile hoping it was convincing enough as she really just wanted to go home and just stay in her room for a few hours and calm down. She was starting to feel horribly it's been so crazy within the last day and this was the second to last straw. She just needed time to process it all.
"I'm fine I am just going to go home and rest I'm exhausted." Georgie says as Olive nods and Georgie quickly leaves for her house.
"That's weird Georgie never acted like that before." Olive says as Zeke looks at the teen. He knew exactly what Georgie was doing.
"I felt that she was pretty panicked, somewhat scared, and a whole lot of other feelings when she taught me about being an empath she said that if touch happened in little time she could get overwhelmed and I think that what happened there. She'll be fine with a little bit of rest." Zeke told the other who nods.
………
Georgie sighs sitting back on her bed trying not to have another panic attack. That felt to much like when she was younger. She then grabs a book. She knew reading always calmed her down. Plus if she found out what was going on. They could end all this way faster. There had to be an answer in these books there just had to be.
