Make your gem glow the calling earlier, remember it said Friendship is key." Georgie asks her friend who slowly nods still nervous of where this was going. She also allows her gem to glow. "Maybe if we work together it will bring the right ghost to us." Georgie says Drea shrugs she was still hesitant about trying that as usually it resulted in some kind of jolt back from each other and some sort of pain.
"Are you sure about this… it usually results in…" Before Drea could finish her thought the light of their necklaces bonded and then rejected as the power through them against the wall. Georgie and Drea barely having enough time to catch themselves. "That… usually that happens…" Drea grinds out obviously in a bit of pain, Georgie just grunts pushing herself up.
"Are you two okay? That looked painful" Ava says as she looked between the two who were dusting themselves off.
"We're fine, honestly this happens way more often than you think, right D." Georgie asks and Drea nods, grabbing her shakeable ice packs and tossing one over to Georgie who easily catches it. "Thanks D, well that didn't work, calling what do we do now?" Georgie asks. Drea just kinds of stares at the ghost figure in front of her. It definitely worked the gems just really liked abusing them.
"Georgie, it worked… apparently everything involving the gems is just painful…" Drea says as in front of her was a middle aged woman. "Hello Miss Morrison." Drea says still as Georgie turned her head to look where Drea was looking, and saw the same thing Drea saw and let out a breath of exasperation.
"Hello Miss Morrison I'm sorry to disturb you, but I have a few questions regarding your sons." Georgie spoke out knowing Ava would think they were crazy but not caring.
"Young women, you're going way too deep. I'm not telling you a thing." The mother says her ghostly arms crossed as Drea rolls her eyes. She can't believe they're interrogating a ghost, but hey, weirder things have happened.
"Are you the one that told TJ his little brother died in a car accident?" Drea asks, pushing forward because they need to have answers. The ghost just looks at her.
L me about seeing his brother. I didn't want to see Zach or TJ's father ever again." The mother said and Georgie just stands their not believing what she heard.
"So you lied to him about his little brother dying. Mp. Just because you didn't want to see the boy's father again makes perfect sense." Georgie says with a bit of snark, and by the glow on her hands. Drea could tell Georgie was upset, and Drea understood why and her gut twisted for TJ she knew the grief of losing a sibling especially at a young age.
"You're messed up Miss Morrison, you are so messed up. Death is never something to joke about. I lost my younger sister when I was nineteenthp p00000000 9 po i, and it affected my whole life. I can't understand why you would choose death something that is permanent couldn't you have just told him that they moved overseas or something? " Drea asks, her own necklace glowing brightly at her anger and Georgie quickly notices that Drea was flashing from visible to invisible. That must be her new ability.
"I know, I realize it was stupid now, but back then it seemed like a good idea." The mother said and Georgie and Drea nods continuing their interrogation as quickly as possible, as they did not like TJs mom all too much.
"How old was he when you told him that?" Georgie asks as she needed to know that so that she could convince TJ she actually did talk to his mom since he was still reluctant to believe that Georgie could talk to the dead.
"He was eleven, why is this relevant? " Mrs. Morrison asks in confusion Drea just crosses her arms giving the ghost a look.
"We ask the questions you answer." Drea says gaining her old interrogation techniques despite the fact she hasn't used them in nearly two years. She just sent another glare at the ghost. That seemed to shut her up.
"Well Miss Morrison you can go. Those were all our questions. Thank you for answering them." Georgie told the ghost before both the necklaces stop glowing and the ghost was gone._
"Okay so I knew you could talk to ghost, but did you just interrogate my boyfriend's dead mother in my room?" Ava questions as Georgie and Drea just nod.
"Yep we did, and it's a good thing she was dead otherwi009se I probably would have punched her a few times." The older of the two friends says. Georgie just nods knowing that Drea was getting closer to this case because she knew what it felt like to lose someone you loved. Georgie did too just in a different way.
"Trust me D I was about at that point as well. Who does that to their kids. So since we know the truth, what should we do now?." Georgie asks, looking at Ava and Drea.
"TJ is not going to believe us at all. He knows about the magic, but hes been told since he was eleven that his brother died, a pain that you never truly get over. He's not going to believe he's alive just because we say so." Drea says and Ava nods.
"Zach probably won't believe us either. How do you plan on getting them to actually believe us?" Ava asks as this kind of thing was new to her.
"You both have a good point, Drea I'm going to need you to tell TJ. You obviously relate to him and he might believe you more easily than someone who hasn't been through what he has been through. Ava I think we should talk to Zach." Georgie says and Drea nods but looks at the clock.
There's only one problem with your plan. TJ and Olive are in Rome, and this honestly feels like something I should talk to him about in person." Drea says as Georgie just let's out a sigh they wouldn't be back for another month since they were heading for Amsterdam next.
"Ugh I forgot they're still on their honeymoon for another month. I don't want to bug them about it until they get back." Georgie says as both gems shock their owners.
"Well the callings don't care, they want this done now." Drea says at the shock and Georgie just groans.
"I hate the callings." Georgie says with a huff as Drea nods in agreement trying to figure out how they could do this
