A Wedding and A Kidnapping prt 2
Hey guys here's part two of the two shot I really hope you enjoy if you do vote and comment 💖
Georgie went back in the house with Mira. Most of the guests had cleared out after the bride and groom left. Which left only her, Mira Grace and Olive. Olive just smiled at Georgie hugging her, "They're going to find my brother right?" Olive asks as she doesn't want to lose her brother again. Georgie just nods her head she knows Olive and Grace were worried, but she also knows that with Pumpkin being their guide they would.
"With Pumpkin leading them. I'm sure they'll find him." Georgie says as confidently as she could muster. She had no doubt in her puppy, but she knew Ben and if he even thought once that the dog was wrong he would probably turn back, and if that happens she knew Pumpkin would go the length to save him herself, and she really didn't want her pup getting in danger. Mira barks some reassurance, snapping her out of her thoughts. That's when Grace comes in the room.
"Hey G, would you mind holding Eden for a few minutes while Olive and I clean up a few things." Grace asks Georgie who instantly shakes her head. She wasn't a baby person, she was better with older kids for sure. She could barely handle a preschooler; an actual baby was definitely not her thing. It was just holding Eden though not anything else.
"Um yeah sure." Georgie says as she grabs Eden, carefully holding her. As she sits down on the couch with the baby. Mira jumps up on the couch looking at the baby who reached for the puppy. Making Georgie smile, "Hey Eden, you like the puppy?" Georgie asks the baby, who makes happy baby noises still reaching for Mira. Mira just reluctantly comes toward the child. This was Pumpkin territory not hers.
"Uh, hi Eden." Mira says uncomfortably as Eden grabs at the dog's long coat. Mira just allows her to give Georgie a glare she was giving Pumpkin a talking to when she gets home.

"Come on guys it's this way!" Pumpkin says continuing to run a wooded path that the Stone's and Landon's were starting to recognize this path. Pumpkin doesn't, but she trusts her sense of smell, and her training. She quickly scents again before smelling Cal way stronger they were definitely close. That's when Pumpkin notices ice and a lake. Just great this just got a lot harder. Especially since Cal was straight in the middle of the frozen lake. Pumpkin could tell by the cracking she heard that the ice was going to break. "Cal I may be a therapy dog, but I am not going to jump into freezing water to save you. I draw my line there!" Pumpkin calls out before turning to the other. "Don't move, the ice is going to break!" Pumpkin orders before noticing the main guy looking at her shooting. "Rat turds, if only Diamond and Jade we're here at least then I would have some moral support." Pumpkin says as she dove into the snow glad her fur was white.
"Dad, Auntie Mick, Zeke! Don't come on the ice, it's not strong enough!" Cal calls out before getting a gun pointed to his head, making him stop. He had no idea how he was getting out of this. He really didn't feel like dying today, but he didn't want his family to get hurt either, and Georgie would kill all of them if Pumpkin did something stupid. Why did this always happen to him?
"We have to get to him. I think it will hold one of us." Ben says as he looks at the I've then his son. Pumpkin just shook her head. It wouldn't hold two, it barely even held the three that we're standing on! How dumb we're these people? Pumpkin quickly goes over to them shaking her head vigorously hoping they would listen to her. Of course they didn't since Zeke walked onto the ice making it crack all the way and the ice break away underneath them.
"Who should I save first?" Pumpkin questions regretting what she was about to do. Before jumping into the freezing water instantly saw Cal's coat. She looked to Michaela sadly as Pumpkin knew she couldn't help Zeke at the moment and then dove into the freezing water grabbing Cal's coat and starting to paddle up. Which was a lot harder job to do since she was a small poodle not some big dog who was made for swimming. Eventually she made it back to land panting for air before licking Cal's face.
"Well Pumpkin… looks like you saved me again… thank you." Cal says coughing and shivering before hearing Michaela start crying, the white dog and the teenager just look at each other. "Shoot Uncle Zeke, come on Pumpkin Auntie Mick needs you!" Cal says running over to his Aunt the dog just groans, shakes her fur and follows behind slowly. She was wet, cold, and tired. She had done her job, could she go home yet? She knew she couldn't. Zeke would most likely be dead, and her real job was just beginning.
"Um… Cal I'm soaked and I'm cold. I don't think I would be a good comforting tool at the moment." Pumpkin says, but runs to Michaela anyway who was holding a freezing Zeke's body. Pumpkin just goes over and paws her arms.
"Pumpkin stop that you're soaked." Michalea says as Pumpkin groans before noticing some light glowing off Zeke. So she nudged Michaela again harder this time. When she didn't look, Pumpkin pushed full force as she watched Zeke start breathing and the frost disappear. Michaela finally looked and smiled, starting to cry again, but this time it was tears of happiness and relief. Her husband was alive, and he had survived the death date.
Pumpkin then looked at the two happy families and sighs looking in the direction of the car. "I hate to be a party pooper, but I'm not magic, I jumped into a frozen lake to save your son, and I'm still sopping wet in twenty degrees weather so let's please go home before I turn into a pupsicle." Pumpkin shivers, as the two families smile at the dog. Georgie and her pups had done so much for them, and just continued to be loyal. If it wasn't for them. Cal would have been dead by now.
"Let's go home, it's late and Pumpkin looks like she's about to freeze." Michalea says carefully, picking up the white dog as they head to the car. Which was about a mile away.
……….
It was late, it had been around two hours, and Grace had offered Georgie to spend the night so she had decided to crash on the couch with Mira for the time being, and read some of a book she had been trying to finish that is until the door opened. Georgie, now being used to trouble, shot up. Alert as she could be, but Mira seemed content since she smelled Pumpkin. "Mira, Georgie I'm back and today was crazy!" Pumpkin barks out as Mira hushes her.
"It's morning now and I bet also, why are you wet?" Mira asks as Pumpkin groans, shaking her now almost dry fur. She knew Georgie and Mira would freak if she told them she had dived into ice cold water to save Cal, but she was tired. She also couldn't think of a good excuse since it wasn't raining outside and the Stone's did not give her a bath. So she would have to tell the truth. Plus both Georgie and Mira always seemed to figure things like that out anyways. Together they were like human and dog like detectors.
"I jumped into freezing cold water to save Cal. Please don't tell Georgie please." Pumpkin begs as Mira nods of course Pumpkin would do something like that she was crazy, and loved Cal so she shouldn't be so surprised. Still Pumpkin never ceases to amaze her with how much devotion she had to these people. Mira herself would probably do about anything for them, but jumping into freezing water would be too much for the smaller puppy. That's when Michaela, Ben , Zeke and Cal come in.
Georgie, seeing how everyone was wet and shivering, knew she should probably head home as the people needed their couch more than she. "Pumpkin, Mira come on let's go home." She calls out quietly as both dogs nod following their owner. Georgie turns back for a minute seeing the look on the family's faces she would stay and talk, but she wouldn't know what to say so she went with saying, "If you need me you know where to find me before walking out the door, and to her house reflecting how crazy the day has been.
