Chapter 1: A harsh slap back to the past

Dedicated to aleheather

A/N: Hey guys. So this is a sequel to my first book Total Drama Reloaded. Don't worry for those of you who haven't read it. You don't have to but there will be times where one of the characters refers back to the book.

So I'll give you a brief summary of the what happened in the first book: Heather (one of the main characters) and Alejandro (the other main character) were in a game show called Total Drama, which is hosted by a 30 year old man who's name is Chris McLean.

They were paired up as a couple for the show because the two have loved each other for the past two years even though they don't admit this to the camera. The prize of winning the competition is $2,000,000, one million for the boy and one million for the girl.

Heather is the kind of girl who plays hard to get, but towards the end of the show, she breaks down her walls and finally lets Alejandro in.

Unfortunately, when they win the competition, a helicopter comes for Alejandro and he leaves Heather extremely heartbroken.

Now that you know what's going on, you can continue reading, 3 years after Alejandro left Heather.

Heather's POV

"Unbelievable," Lily burst through the door in her black stilettos. She threw her hat and apron somewhere in the room. Kicking off her stilettos, she went to the kitchen, grabbed her KFC bucket and joined me on the couch. "You won't believe what happened to me today,"

"Let me guess. You got fired?" I took a drumstick from her bucket without peeling my eyes from the TV. Lily is my best friend, and I love her to bits, but she isn't the kind of person I would hire in my business.

"Can you believe it? Just because I was caught eating a little chili," Lily grabbed the remote and scrolled through the channels, totally ignoring the fact that I was in the middle of a movie.

"A little?" I laughed. Lily loves food more than anything. So it was hard for me to believe that statement. I have been living with her for nearly 2 years, so I think I should know.

"Okay. I ate a whole pot of it, but in my defense, you can't leave food lying around and not expect me to eat it," Lily defended herself. She let out a groan of frustration before she turned off the TV. "There's nothing good on TV. Great, I don't get to watch a movie to calm me down and I'm jobless,"

"That makes two of us," I mumbled. I helped myself to another chicken drumstick. I also got fired today. I worked at this modeling agency I was offered. What I didn't know, was that the manager was a complete pig and kept on sexually assaulting me. I should have quit, but the money they paid me was incredible that I couldn't risk quitting and leaving that salary they paid me, so I had to put up with it.

Again, the same thing happened to me today. The manager had called me to his office. I thought it was to discuss business but again, I was so wrong. He had pinned me to the wall and had his dirty hands on me but his fiancé walked into his office, startling both of us. The manager then lied that I loved him, yada yada yada...then the next thing I knew, I was given the boot. But before I left, I made sure I gave the manager my boot, ensuring that it went all the way up his legs, to where the sun doesn't shine.

"Well, at least I have someone to sulk with," Lily said, enthusiastically. "Forget this. Lets watch a movie whether it sucks or not. After all, today hasn't peachy for both us," Lily took the remote and the TV came to life. She finally landed on Mean Girls 2 and that's how I spent my Monday evening.

****

Mornings. I hate mornings. I have never been a morning person, just as Lily. But thank God I have a roommate who's just like me because I would dread waking up at 7 am everyday.

Unfortunately, today I had to get up. Our rent is due in a week and if I don't get a job soon, I'll be jobless and homeless. I have enough money, don't get me wrong but if Lily and I keep staying here jobless, all we'll do is pig out on the food here, making it even worse.

We have to pay for water and electricity. We have to buy food. We have to buy clothes and a bunch of other stuff like a toaster since Lily burnt down ours when she tried to make toast.

How on earth can we afford all that if we don't work?

I swung my legs to the side of the bed and staggered to the bathroom, resembling a zombie. What am I saying? I don't resemble a zombie because I am one, in the morning only. I took my toothbrush and put it in my mouth. I began to brush my teeth, while looking at myself in the mirror. I frowned because I didn't taste anything minty.

You forgot to put the toothpaste, stupid.

I finally brushed my teeth and climbed into the shower. As I turned the knob for the hot water, jets of water shot out of the shower plate, rinsing and relaxing my body. I started with my hair and shampooed it with my vanilla scented shampoo. I scrubbed my jet-black hair and let the water rinse it. I cleaned my own body with my vanilla scented soap. I love the scent of vanilla, so don't judge me.

15 minutes later, I came out of the shower in my pink fuzzy robe with matching pink fuzzy slippers. There was a towel on my head to prevent my hair from dripping water on the ground. I walked into the kitchen to get today's newspaper which was always on our doorstep every morning. I brewed myself some coffee and made a BLT sandwich.

As I sat down to eat my breakfast, I flipped through the newspaper, looking for the jobs that may be advertised. Waitress? Nope. Air hostess? Nope. Janitor? I'm not even going to answer that.

I gave up looking for a job and thought I might have to ask my parents to help me when an ad caught my eye. It was a company looking for a personal assistant. Personal assistant, huh? I don't mind that. It was a few blocks away. And plus if the boss is hot then, helł yeah. They were holding interviews today at 11 am.

Shoot! It's 10:30! I gulped down the rest of my coffee and I sprinted to my room. Rummaging through my wardrobe, I found my white blouse with my black skirt. I slipped on my underwear and squeezed into my clothes.

"What are you- Where on earth are you going dressed like that?" Asked a tired Lily in a groggy voice. She was wearing her Batman t-shirt and sleeping shorts. Her brown hair looked like a bird's best and she stifled out a yawn.

"I found a job and I need to go," I answered, keeping my eye at the clock. Thank God that I had waxed my legs or I'd look like some hairy ape. I found my black wedges and slipped them on. I put on a bit of makeup, just eyeliner and lip gloss.

"How do I look?" I said, once I was done. "Professional," Lily answered. "Good. Wish me luck," I grabbed my purse and cut out the ad, stuffing it into the purse.

"And Lily?" I said, before I left. "Yeah?" She answered. "Don't eat all the vanilla ice cream. I might need it," I told her, before I closed the door after I heard Lily laugh.

I ran down the stairs, like a mad woman and exited the apartment.

"Taxi!" I hollered, waving my arms up and down. I turned on my phone. 10:45. Crud! 15 minutes! A taxi stopped by me and I got in.

"Thank you so much! Take me to Al & Co and please step on it, I'm in a hurry," I closed the door. The taxi swerved to the other lane and the driver stepped on the gas. I opened my purse, scavenging for money.

When we arrived at the destination, I gave the man the money. "Keep the change," I told him. He gave me a small smile before leaving. I ran into the building and found the reception lady.

She looked like she was in her mid-twenties and she eyed me up and down. She had black hair with hints of light brown, and she was in a black pencil dress. I would be lying if I said she wasn't gorgeous. In fact, everyone here is drop-down-gorgeous or plain sexy. Her name tag read Linda.

"Let me guess. You saw the ad?" Linda spoke. I nodded. "You can sit there with the others," She nodded to where a long line of other girls were seated.

Well, isn't this going to be fun.

I plopped into an empty chair as I looked at the other girls. They were the same age as me. I could tell because they wore very short skirts and dresses, wore V-line neck shirts to expose their cleavage and had heavy make up on. The boss must be really hot if they are all dressed like this.

I glanced at the clock. It was 11 am. I sighed and got out my phone. I couldn't sit here looking like a loner so I got out and began to play Candy Crush on silent. Just when I had reached level 100, a girl burst out of the office, crying. The receptionist must have been prepared because she pulled out a box of tissues while she was on the phone.

I wonder who's the boss.

I dismissed the thought and continued playing on my phone until I heard "Next!" I looked around me and saw that everyone had vanished. Wow, the interviews must've gone really fast. I stood up and adjusted my skirt to its full height which was above my knees. I put my phone in my purse and I walked in.

The room was big and roomy, filled with frames of people I didn't know. "Have a seat," The man said. I couldn't see his face because his chair was faced away from me. "Thank you," I said, smoothing by skirt before I sat down.

I glanced around at the room and noticed it was dimly lit and the shades were down.

Is the boss a vampire?

Don't be stupid Heather. Vampires don't exist.

I began to twiddle with my thumbs out of boredom. "Your full name?" The man spoke. "Heather Elizabeth Santos," I answered, a bit embarrassed by my name.

"Age?"

"Twenty,"

"Birthday?"

"July 4th,"

"Were you fired or you quit?"

"Fired,"

"Why?"

I sighed. "I was being sexually assaulted by the-"

"I do not care. What were you doing before?"

Excuse me? This guy's has got some serious attitude.

"Modeling,"

The boss snickered. "Typical. I do not appreciate liars Miss Santos,"

"I'm not lying," I said in a stern voice.

"You're telling me that there is a 20 year old model named...Heather?" The boss turned around and stared at me in awe. Why was he looking at me like that? I examined his face. He looked like he was in his mid-twenties, had a goatee and long brown hair. He stared at me with his emerald green eyes.

Wait, a minute. His eyes look so familiar. Where have I seen this guy? The man smiled at me then it hit me like a ton of bricks. As I continued to stare at this man, my hands instantly curled into fists.

This is the man who I had competed with in a TV show. This is the same man who I was partnered with 3 years ago in the same TV show in a different season. We were unstoppable. We were everyone's worst nightmare. That's why we won the stupid TV show and got 2 million dollars. But this man took his one million dollars, got on his helicopter and abandoned me.

Why is this a big deal to me?

I loved this man dearly- and that's saying something. He was the first man I ever loved, as cheesy as it sounds. All the others were just for fun. I never really cared for them but I cared for him. But that love and care was thrown on the ground and trampled on by a huge monster truck and slashed into smithereens by his helicopter.

I had a total breakdown and I cried myself to sleep for ages because not once had he texted me, and he found himself a new girlfriend after all he had done to me. He claimed that he loved me and we shared many memories together but I flushed them down the drain. My love for him was replaced with hatred and I swore revenge. I swore that if I ever saw the bastard again, I would make him regret knowing who I was. But that isn't going to happen especially because I need a job real bad.

This man, ladies and gentlemen, is Alejandro Burromuerto, the world's greatest manipulator. The world's most beautiful Spanish man alive. The world's greatest player and known for his obsession of women which he throws one by one, like black licorice. But he is the world's greatest jerk.

"Heather," Alejandro ran a hand through his hair. He ran up and wrapped his arms around me. "It's been so long,"

"Yeah? Well not long enough," I pushed him off me. Alejandro looked at me, with a confused expression on his face. "You are still mad? Heather, it happened was 3 years ago,"

"I'm not mad, Alejandro. I'm hurt. You said you loved me and then found another woman? What kind of love is that? Or did you love me like a sister? Them why did you kiss me numerous times?" I folded my arms, yelling at him.

Alejandro opened his mouth to speak when I cut him off. "You know what? Just shut up. I don't want to hear your lies about being busy and that all that jazz. You had my phone number the entire time. I texted you but you ignored me. Care to explain that, pretty boy?"

Alejandro was silent and absorbed all that I had said. When he opened his mouth, I thought that I'd get a heartfelt apology. But did I? No!

"Pretty boy?" He echoed, smirking. I groaned and threw up my arms. I grabbed my purse and I hastily made my exit. "Wait, Heather," I felt a hand on my arm. "I did not mean to upset you,"

I snorted. "Well, you did and I'm leaving. Goodbye Alejandro," I yanked my arm from his grip and stomped out of that building. I didn't feel like calling a taxi because I was so frustrated. I walked all the way to my apartment, in the scotching sun.

I hate summer. I always sweat like a pig even though I put a gallon of deodorant. As I neared my apartment, I swear I might have stomped on the ground so hard that my wedges were reduced to flats.

I swung the door open and slammed it, kicking off my shoes. I flopped onto the red velvet couch. Now I know what Lily felt like yesterday. Speaking of Lily, I saw her in the open kitchen, microwaving popcorn. "How'd it go?" Lily asked, coming to sit with me.

"Remember how I told you not to eat my ice cream earlier on?" I asked, untucking my shirt. "Yeah?" Lily answered, tilting her head at me.

"Did you eat it?" I sighed, hoping she didn't. "No," She answered. "Good. Bring it over," I instructed her. She bounced off the couch and entered the freezer.

Lily came back with my favorite spoon and my ice cream. I sighed, again, after taking a bite of my vanilla ice cream. "You will not believe what happened to me today,"
