2018 ― Outer Space
"No resurrections this time."

After the events of fighting Hela on Asgard, Thor Odinson was officially named King of Asgard, a role that he first never wanted to have, but with Odin dead, he didn't have much of a choice. He decided to bring the remainder of his people to Earth for refuge.

But they never made it.

The Titan Thanos had taken over Thor's ship on his quest for the Infinity Stones to carry out his grand plan. He believes the Earth is too populated, and there aren't enough resources to sustain life for everyone. His logic is that if he eliminates half of life, then the other half will prosper with the resources they have.

"Hear me and rejoice. You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan. You may think this is suffering. No. It is salvation. The Universal scales tip towards balance because of your sacrifice. Smile. For even in death, you have become Children of Thanos." One of the aliens walked past Nikita and Loki, and they looked at Thanos, who was standing over Thor's body on the ground.

They put up the best fight they could, but they were severely outnumbered. Nikita and Thor were badly hurt, but the young redhead was still on her feet. "I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right... yet to fail, nonetheless." Thanos said.

Then he grabbed Thor by his armor and picked him up, and Nikita cringed when she heard Thor groan. Through the trials of dealing with Hela, being sent to another planet, and all the craziness they went through, Nikita and Thor were able to find a healing point in their relationship. But Nikita hated how Thanos could easily just carry Thor around like he wasn't one of the most physically most robust people she's ever known.

"It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you, to what end? Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." Thanos said. Nikita and Loki were surrounded by some of Thanos' army aliens. "And now, it's here. Or should I say... I am." He said, lifting his hand to show that he was wearing a gauntlet, and Nikita noticed one of the Infinity Stones inside.

The Power Stone.

It was happening.

Thor started having visions around the time they were fighting against Ultron about the Infinity Stones, and now Thanos was out to collect them. "You talk too much." Thor choked out while Thanos was holding and slightly squeezing his head.

"Please just let him go!" Nikita said as she held her side. She knew because of her powers, she could heal herself, but because of how badly she was hurt, it was going to take longer.

"The Tesseract. Or your lover's head," Thanos said to the girl while moving the Infinity Stone closer to Thor. "I assume you both have a preference," Thanos said to Nikita and Loki, who looked at each other. Nikita knew that Loki had the Tesseract; he always has the Tesseract. The question is, was he going to give it up? Or would he let Thanos kill Thor?

Nikita knew in this last year that Loki had proven his loyalty to Thor, but had it been enough? "Oh, I do. Kill away." Loki said, and Nikita's eyes widened.

"You bastard!" She exclaimed before quickly whipping around to Thanos when she heard Thor yell out in pain. She ran to make a move for him, but one of the aliens grabbed her and held her back. "No! Let me go, let him g...-Thor!" Her painful shouts filled the room. Thanos continued to press the Infinity Stone into his skull, while Thor yelled in pain, and Nikita tried to fight out of the alien's grip that held her.

"Alright, stop!" Loki finally screamed. Thanos moved the Infinity Stone from Thor's head and gestured for his alien to let Nikita go, which it did.

"We don't have the Tesseract. It was destroyed on Asgard." Thor said. Loki held out his hand, and a few moments later, the Tesseract formed in his hands, and Thor looked at his brother and sighed. "You really are the worst, brother," Thor said.

"I assure you, brother. The sun will shine on us again." Loki said as he stepped forward towards Thanos with the Tesseract in hand. Thanos only laughed.

"Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian," Thanos said, and Loki slightly shrank back.

"Well, for one thing, I'm not Asgardian. And for another, we have a Hulk." Loki said. He dropped the Tesseract while Nikita ran over to Thor and moved him away from Thanos as Banner, as Hulk jumped out and attacked Thanos. The two of them engaged in a fight where it looked like Bruce had the upper hand on him, so maybe this would be over soon, but then Nikita noticed that Thanos started to take him down way too quickly.

She didn't understand how. Banner, as Hulk, was bigger than him. Thanos picked him up over his head and slammed him down on the ground. "Banner!" Nikita exclaimed. Thor ran over to Thanos and tried to hit him with a led pipe, but that didn't work. Thanos turned around as Nikita ran to Thor's side. When Thor made a move against Thanos, he kicked him down and across the ship. Then she noticed one of Thanos' aliens made a gesture with its hand, and Thor was now trapped under metal, only his head showing.

Nikita's hands started to glow. A power she discovered that she didn't know she had was that she could control and shoot fire from her hands. She learned she had it back on Sakaar when she watched Banner in Hulk form pound into Thor. Seeing him get beat, something just snapped inside of her, and she could now control the element of fire. Nikita geared up to use it when Thanos knocked her back next to Thor, and the alien trapped her feet to the ground and trapped her hands behind her back.

Nikita and Thor both looked at Heimdall, who was weak on the ground, and he reached out his hand. "All fathers... let the dark magic flow through me one last time." He said, summoning the portal to be opened, he sent Banner back to Earth. Heimdall would've sent Nikita back to Earth too, but she was trapped, and he wouldn't have been able to. Thanos walked over to Heimdall and stood over him.

"That was a mistake," Thanos said. Heimdall looked over at Thor and Nikita one last time before Thanos brought his spear down into his heart, making Nikita's eyes water.

"No!" She and Thor screamed at the same time. Throughout their time together on the ship, it gave Nikita a chance to know Heimdall. She loved seeing his and Thor's relationship because it was so genuine, and she had grown a genuine bond with him. He was the only person besides Thor to warmly welcome her the first time she came to Asgard.

Nikita cried as she heard Heimdall take his last breath, and she looked down at her trapped feet. "You're going to die for that." Thor snapped. Nikita tried to summon her power through her hands to melt the metal off of her, but she couldn't; they were too tightly bound. Then the alien flicked their hand, and a piece of metal wrapped around Thor's mouth.

"Shh." It said. Nikita watched as Thanos crushed the Tesseract, leaving only the next stone. The Space Stone. She watched, powerless and helpless, as Thanos added the stone onto his gauntlet. He had two, and there had to be a way to stop him from getting the other four.

"There are two more stones on Earth. Find them my children, and bring them to me on Titan." Thanos said to the aliens as they all bowed to him.

"Father, we will not fail you." One said. Nikita's eyes widened because she knew who was on Earth. Her families, both of them. She had just seen Natasha two years ago when they took down the Red Room alongside their sister Yelena and their 'parents' Alexei and Melina. And then The Avengers. Katherine, Steve, their children, and Sam. The fugitives, she hoped they'd be okay.

"If I might interject. If you're going to Earth, you might want a guide. I do have a bit of experience in that arena. Isn't that right, Nic?" Loki's voice rang out as he came out of wherever he was hiding and turned to the redhead.

"Loki, what are you doing?" She asked. The alien flicked his hand again, and a metal mouthpiece wrapped around Nikita's mouth, also silencing her.

"If you consider failure experience," Thanos said, and if he wasn't the villain in this situation, Nikita might've laughed at what he just said.

"I consider experience, experience. Almighty Thanos... I, Loki, prince of Asgard... Odinson. ." Loki trailed off to look at his brother before looking back at Thanos. "... the rightful king of Jotunheim... the god of mischief. ." Nikita's eyes widened when she noticed the dagger that Loki brought out behind his back, and she knew this wasn't going to end well. "... do hereby pledge to you... undying fidelity." Loki bowed his head before trying to stab him, but with the Space Stone, Thanos stopped him.

"Undying?" Thanos asked, peering down at him. He released the power of the stone on him and grabbed his wrist. "You should choose your words more carefully." He said, twisting Loki's wrist until the blade fell out before grabbing him by his neck and picking him up. Nikita and Thor both watched helplessly as Loki's life was in Thanos' hands, literally.

"You... will never be... a god." Nikita heard Loki barely say before she listened to the snapping of his neck, and Thanos walked over to them and threw Loki's dead body down in front of them.

"No!!" Thor and Nikita's muffled screams came out together. Although they can never trust Loki at any point in time, Nikita had a weird, you're kind of like my brother love for him, and she didn't want to see him dead.

"No resurrections this time," Thanos said. Using the Power Stone, a purple fire took over the ship, and using the Space Stone, Thanos and his children disappeared through a portal. When they left, the metal that was keeping Thor and Nikita bound fell off of them, and they both immediately crawled towards Loki.

"No. Loki..." Thor said, laying his head down on his brother while starting to cry, and Nikita wrapped Thor in her arms. She knew the ship was going to blow to pieces; luckily, Tony made her a suit that would sustain her in space since she is human. He made it in the form of a ring she could wear on her finger, and when she twisted the ring, she let her protective suit overtake her right as the ship blew to pieces.

Sending her and Thor out into space.

Welcome to Infinity War and Endgame!

For the first time, my prologue wasn't sucky. So since the Avengers are literally all over the place, this story will have all of our characters like all over the place too. And all the gifs won't be of Phoebe since our Avengers are all over the place. Heimdall and Loki dying still hurts to this day, and I'm STILL waiting for the sun to shine on Thor & Loki again like come on y'all.
