[4]: Back in Action

2018 Scotland
"Thanks for the save, handsome."

Christian Rogers stood looking out of the window to a rainy Scotland.

He and Wanda had left a little bit ago to come to Scotland to get some time alone, together. Since half of what used to be the Avengers team were now fugitives and they were all laying low, Wanda and Christian figured it would be good for them to get time alone every now and then, away from the team. Wanda looked up from the bed, to notice that Christian was doubled over and holding his head.

"Chris?" Wanda asked as she got off the bed to walk over to her boyfriend. "What is it this time?" She asked. Christian's psychic abilities began to develop deeper past mind reading. He would get visions, images of future things that would happen, but not a lot of context, it just depended, but he could always feel when something was coming. His connection to his twin was deeper, and he could always feel when she was in trouble, but this time, he was feeling something different.

"I don't know... I keep getting foggy images like I don't know what's coming." Christian said. Wanda set down her cup of tea, as Christian's face scrunched up in pain once again from the feeling in his head and Wanda gently grabbed his cheeks.

"Hey..." Wanda whispered to him. Christian slightly turned his face to kiss Wanda's palm gently, before moving her hand to his forehead.

"Tell me what you feel... maybe you can make out the feeling of the images I can't get." He whispered to her. Wanda nodded her head, letting the red energy glow from her hand as she searched his mind, while Christian kept his eyes closed, feeling Wanda's energy flow through him. When the feeling was gone, she opened her eyes to look at him.

"I just feel you." She whispered to him. Christian laid both of his hands down on her cheeks and leaned in to give her a kiss.

"I love you... go for a walk with me." Christian said, and Wanda nodded her head.

"I love you too."

"There's a 10:00am to Glasglow, which would give us more time together before we head back," Wanda said to Christian as they walked the streets of Scotland hand-in-hand with each other.

"What if we miss that train?" Christian asked her.

"There's an 11:00," Wanda said.

"What if we missed all the trains? What if this time. . we didn't go back?" Christian asked.

"Chris... we gave your parents our word," Wanda said.

"But I'd rather give it to you," Christian said. The two of them stopped on the sidewalk, but Christian still had her hand in his.

"Chris... they're expecting us... both of us. We both made promises." Wanda said.

"Yeah, but not to each other. Wanda, for the last two years, we've stolen these moments away from everyone else, away from my parents, my sister, Aunt Nat, Uncle Sam, and we've just been us. Trying to see if we can work out, and I think it works, and it has worked for a while now." Christian said, and Wanda nodded her head.

"It does work... it always has," Wanda said. Christian took a step closer to her as he looked down at her.

"Then let's just stay. Stay with each other." Christian whispered, but something else had caught Wanda's attention. Behind Christian in the cafe they were standing in front of, news from New York was playing, saying that there was an attack. "What is it?" Christian asked.

Wanda stepped around him to focus on the TV, and Christian turned around to see what she was looking at and when he did, his eyes widened. Knowing that Tony lived in New York, he was worried seeing that it was now under attack, by a type of ship he's never seen before.

"What are they?" Wanda asked.

"What my foggy visions were warning me about," Christian responded. Then he grabbed Wanda's hand and kissed her knuckles. "We have to go, we have to call my parents," Christian said.

"There you two are, I've been looking for you everywhere." The two heard a new voice. When they turned their heads, Vision was approaching them. Except, Christian noticed that he was completely human, not like he was 2 years ago.

"Vis... what's going on? How did you find us?" Christian asked.

"Your Uncle always knows how to track you. We have to go." Vision said.

"Vis... we're fugitives," Christian said.

"I don't think that will matter in a situation as dire as this." Vision said, starting to walk away from the pair, expecting them to follow him.

"Vision... Vision if this is true, then maybe going isn't the best idea." Wanda said.

"Wanda, Christian, I...-" But Vision was cut off, by suddenly being stabbed right through his chest. Christian and Wanda's eyes both widened in shock, as Vision's suit fully overcame him, and he was thrown to the ground off of the spear he was stabbed with. Christian twisted his ring, and his suit that Tony made for him, overtook his body.

Wanda was ready to strike a blow when she was knocked out of the way, and into a cafe. Christian saw as the aliens flipped Vision over, and one of them stuck their spears right into the mind stone that was in his forehead. Making himself go invisible, Christian ran at the alien and swept his feet, knocking it away from Vision.

Wanda had recovered herself and used her powers to pick Vision up from the ground as Christian made himself visible again and he looked at his girlfriend. "Get Vis somewhere safe, and call my parents." He said.

"Christian, I'm not leaving you here by yourself," Wanda said.

"I wasn't asking your permission. Go." Christian said. With hesitation in her eyes. Wanda took Vision and tried to get him as far away from them as possible, while Christian continued to fight off one of the aliens, who were in pursuit of Vision and Wanda, so he followed after them.

He caught back up with Wanda, who was fighting one on one with an alien, and as she went to shoot off a blast at them, she was blasted first and sent backward. The alien moved to strike Christian next, but he made himself disappear and moved out of the way so he wasn't hit, before coming back around, and striking the alien in the gut.

Wanda and Christian both heard Vision scream, and Wanda used her power to throw the alien back through the fire of a split car, and Christian nodded his head at her to get Vision as he saw the alien get back up. Christian watched as Wanda started to fly off with Vision, but they were shot down and into a building, so he immediately teleported to where they fell through. The aliens are in hot pursuit of them all.

"Vis... Wanda, are you guys okay? We can't stay here. I couldn't call my parents, but there's a tracking device on my suit with a distressed signal installed, so they'll know where to find us." Christian said, and Wanda nodded her head as they both tried to help Vision off the ground.

But he couldn't move.

"Please, both of you... leave." Vision said to them.

"No one left behind. We can't leave you here." Christian said back to him.

"Please," Vision whispered to them. Before either of them could give a response, the glass ceiling broke through and both aliens came crashing down. Wanda and Christian both stood up, ready to defend Vision, now that they knew what these aliens were after.

The Mind Stone, but why?

As Wanda's hands started to glow, and Christian leveled his fists, he heard the train speed past behind them, which he thought was off. Both he and Wanda turned around and Christian could slightly make out a figure behind the train, but he had no idea who. The alien threw their spear at the shadow that was standing there, which the person easily caught before stepping into the light. As Christian saw the figure, a wide smile came onto his face.

His parents were here.

Sam flew in and kicked one alien down, catching both aliens off guard so they could get the upper hand. Katherine Rogers ran in to take down the other alien. Steve threw the spear to his wife which she easily caught while sliding down to strike the alien across its gut. The alien then turned around and tried to give the brunette a blow, but she easily blocked it, before stabbing the alien through its abdomen.

She did a flip over the spear to bring herself off the ground before jumping up and kicking the alien down on the ground. The other one was in pursuit of Katherine, but Steve picked up the spear of the alien Katherine had taken down before standing in front of his wife and holding the spear up to block the blow the other alien was going to try and give to her.

"Thanks for the save, handsome," Katherine said. The same phrase she always says whenever Steve covers her while they fight. She grabbed her baton, letting the lightning crack as she and Steve were now both engaged in the fight with the same alien. Then Sam flew in and kicked that one down next to the other one before pointing two guns at them before all four of them stepped up towards them on the ground.

"Get up." The female alien said to the other one.

"I can't." He responded.

"We don't want to kill you," Natasha said.

"But we will." Katherine finished the thought. The female alien looked up at them.

"You'll never get the chance again." She said, and then the two of them disappeared. Katherine told Amaya she could come out now. Although she knew her daughter was more than equipped and could've fought in this one. They already had the aliens outnumbered, so she knew they wouldn't need her help.

The five of them walked over to Wanda, Christian, and Vision before Sam looked down at him. "Can you stand?" Sam asked before helping him up from the ground as Katherine put her baton away.

"Thank you, Captain." Vision said. Steve nodded his head.

"Let's get you on the jet," Steve said, and when they were all assembled on the jet as the door closed, Katherine looked at Wanda and Christian.

"Now, I thought we had a deal. Stay close, check-in, don't take any chances." Katherine said to Wanda and her son. Christian looked at his mom and sighed.

"I'm sorry, Mom." He said.

"We are sorry, Kat. We just wanted time." Wanda said, and Katherine shook her head brushing it off. She understands. Wanda and Christian are in love, and with her own love life being not that great, she didn't want to restrict her son from being able to be with the girl that he loves.

"Cap... Kat, where to?" Sam asked them. He was piloting the jet. Steve only said one word.

"Home." He said. Katherine moved towards the back of the jet as her phone started to ring, and she noticed it was Pepper calling.

"Hey, Pepper. I heard about Tony... is he really... missing?" Katherine asked. A pit formed in her stomach when she said the word 'missing.' She didn't want to think that Tony was gone.

"He's on some ship in space... I tried to call in but lost the connection." She said.

"Probably with the altitude. Shit..." Katherine muttered to herself shaking her head.

"I didn't want him to get involved with this again." She said.

"I know, Pep... but we both know him... he's a hero. It's what he does." Katherine said back.

"It's what you do too." She said.

"I know... um, okay. Maybe when he figures out whatever he went to space for, he'll be back. Don't freak out too much, because if you freak out, then I'm going to freak out." She said.

"Where are you?" She asked.

"We're coming home, Pep."

Ooou, our favorite Rogers' are back.
