2023 ― Upstate New York
"Hey, Cap, Kat, you guys read me?"

Katherine looked around, seeing that they had no backup. Tony was still down. Thor was still down and she didn't know where Clint, Scott, Rhodey, Rocket, or her daughter were, but she hoped that Amaya was able to find them and help them. Steve groaned as he slowly tried to pick himself up off the ground, and Katherine coughed, trying to regain her breath as she spits out a little blood.

"In all my years of conquest... violence... slaughter... it was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it, very, very much." Thanos said and then the couple noticed how his entire alien army came down from the ship. Katherine looked at her husband, as they were both still trying to get up and she sighed.

"Steve look at me." She said. Steve slowly looked up catching his wife's eyes and he saw the tears in them because she knew this was how they were going to die. They barely have a team, and even if the rest of the team showed up, they wouldn't be able to take all of those aliens. They couldn't even take them all in Wakanda when they had everyone five years ago.

"I love you, I love you so much, and these last 11 years... have been the best of my life. Thank you for giving me Chris and Amaya.... thank you for being you... thank you for loving me, even the bad parts of me. I wouldn't trade this, any of it." Katherine said while coughing and Steve nodded his head. "I mean, maybe I would trade being in a battle with a Titan, but, you get it." She said and Steve nodded his head.

"I love you too, Kath. Waking up from the ice and knowing you were alive was one of the single best moments in my life. I love you and the kids more than I ever imagined possible." Steve responded as they both took deep breaths and picked themselves up off the ground. Steve stood with his cracked shield, while Katherine drew out both of her guns. Steve tightened his shield as they both looked at Thanos' army that seemed to still be coming out of his ships, and they walked to the edge of the rock that they were standing on to face Thanos.

"Together," Katherine said while looking at her husband. Steve nodded his head and walked over to Katherine, he laid his hand down on her arm, and then he leaned his forehead down against hers. Katherine laid her hand down on his cheek as they both closed their eyes, knowing this could be their last moment together.

"Together." He repeated.

Katherine leaned up and kissed her husband which Steve immediately responded to, neither of them knowing whether it would be the last time they shared a kiss together. When they pulled away, Katherine took a deep breath before opening her eyes, and then she turned to face Thanos and his army.

There they stood ready to take on Thanos' army alone knowing that eventually, they would die, but as Steve said earlier before they traveled back in time, they were going to do whatever it takes to make everything right again.

"Hey, Cap, Kat, you guys read me?" Katherine and Steve both heard Sam's voice in their coms. The couple looked at each other before Katherine put a hand on her ear.

"Sam?" She asked.

"Yeah, Cap, Kat, it's me. It's Sam. Can you guys hear me?" Sam asked.

"Yeah... yeah, we can," Katherine said.

"On your left."

The couple both turned to their left side seeing and saw a portal was opening up. The first people out of the portal were Okoye, T'Challa, and Shuri. They were fully suited up, and T'Challa took his mask off when he saw Steve and Katherine, and the couple let out a breath of relief as T'Challa nodded at them.

Then as Sam came flying out of the portal, Katherine and Steve noticed a lot of other portals opening up all around them and more of their team coming out of them. Katherine noticed a spider web before seeing Peter, and immediately wondered where her daughter was, and if Peter was back, that meant her son and Nikita were back too. Katherine and Steve both couldn't help the smiles on their faces, and Katherine had tears in her eyes seeing that Bruce's snap did work and everyone was back. Except for Natasha.

And she deserved to be here to see this moment.

Katherine continued to look as everyone came out, and at the same time, she saw Wanda land on the ground, and her heart clenched when she saw Christian beside her. She immediately grabbed Steve's arm and turned him around, and at the sight of their son, the couple wanted nothing more than to just run over and squeeze the life out of him, but Katherine knew they would have plenty of time to do that after they won. Christian smiled at his parents as they both turned back around relieved that he was back.

From where they were, Thor and Tony saw all of the Avengers returning, and Thor was keeping his eyes peeled for Nikita. Then Katherine heard a large rumble and when she looked over, Scott was again in huge form like in Berlin and Amaya was flying right next to him. But in his hands, he had Bruce, Rhodey, and Rocket. Amaya flew down, seeing her brother and Wanda before she saw Peter.

"Chris!" She exclaimed, throwing herself onto her brother, who laughed as he hugged her back tightly. The last five years didn't feel like five years to him, but Dr. Strange had told all of them that it had been five years.

"I missed you too, so much," Chris whispered to her as they pulled away, to get focused on battle. All of the Avengers got into line with Katherine and Steve leading the charge like they have since the Avengers first became a group with the original seven of them. One last time.

One last battle.

"Avengers!" Steve yelled as everyone geared up. Their children landed right next to them, as Steve held his hand out and the Mjolnir came flying into his hand. "Assemble!" Steve said. Thor and T'Challa both let out a war cry before all of the Avengers advanced towards Thanos' army. Thanos only pointed his blade forward, motioning for his army to advance as well.

When they all met in the middle, off of the Avengers were easily taking out Thanos' army. Katherine shot through as many as she could, and when she looked up in the air, she smiled seeing Pepper and Tony fight side by side.

Christian and Amaya fought side by side. Amaya used her powers to manipulate the rubble around them to use to her advantage, but one alien got the drop on her and knocked her down, and as she shot out her powers to use them, the alien was thrown off of her, and when she looked behind up, her heart nearly dropped at who was standing behind her.

"Underoos..." She said completely shocked to stillness.

"Hey! Holy cow!" Peter said, jumping down to help Amaya off the ground. "You will not believe what's been going on. After we got off the phone, I ended up in space with Mr. Stark, who I need to go see, but then I got all dusty and I must've passed out, because I woke up, and Mr. Stark was gone. But Dr. Strange was there, right? And he was like... 'It's been five years... Come on, they need us.' And then he started doing the yellow sparkly thing that he does all the time...-" Amaya cut Peter off by grabbing his cheeks and pulling him into a kiss.

Peter was caught off guard at first, but he laid his hands on her waist as their lips moved together, and when they pulled away, Amaya hugged him close and tightly as she began to cry. "Oh, this is nice... why are you crying?" Peter asked and Amaya sniffled as she only hugged him tighter. She missed him so much, and couldn't believe he was actually in front of her right now.

"Come on, let's go find Uncle Tony." She said. Peter nodded his head, and together the couple ran off to see that Tony was getting pounded on by an alien. Amaya used her powers to lift up a heavy boulder and knock the alien away from Tony and when he looked up, he smiled at the sight of Amaya and much like her, was shocked to see Peter.

"Holy cow! Mr. Stark, I was just telling Amaya about how we were in space, and I got all dusty, and then I thought that I had passed out, but when I woke up, Dr. Strange was there, saying it had been five years and that you guys needed us, so like I said to Amaya, he started doing that yellow sparkling thing and...-" Much like Amaya, Tony cut Peter off by wrapping his arms around him in a hug.

"...-Why does no one let me finish that sentence?" Peter asked and Tony chuckled as he leaned in and kissed Peter on his cheek, and Amaya smiled at their reunion.

Now they had to get back to battle.

Aww, I wanted to end this chapter there, because it was a nice, sweet moment, but don't worry, we still have a lot more battle to go.
