2013 ― Asgard
"You trust me?"

Amaya Rogers and Rocket split up. Rocket said he was going to focus on getting the Aether out of Nikita, and Amaya said she was going to try and find Thor, which she did. He was hiding behind a pillar, trying to catch a glimpse of his mother, and Amaya was hiding with him. Frigga came and rounded the corner, as Thor tried to peek out and she appeared on their other side.

"What are you doing?" She asked her son. Thor screamed, which cause Frigga to scream and he moved Amaya behind him. "You're better off leaving the sneaking to your brother. Who's the girl behind you? Did you bring another mortal to Asgard?" Frigga asked.

"No, I wasn't sneaking. I was just going for a walk." Thor said.

"What are you wearing?" Frigga asked.

"I always wear this, it's one of my favorites," Thor said. Underneath the quantum suit, Amaya had on the regular suit that Tony made for her, and she had another band on her wrist that would bring back the quantum suit when they were ready to go.

"What's wrong with your eye?" Frigga asked while further examining her son. Thor took his mother's hand off of his cheek and shook his head.

"Oh, my eye. You remember the, uh, Battle of Harokin... when I got hit in the face... with uh, the broadsword?" Thor asked.

"You're not the Thor I know at all, are you?" Frigga asked.

"Yes I am," Thor said, with a sheepish smile.

"The future hasn't been kind to you, has it?" Frigga asked and then she looked at Amaya. "And I assume you're from the future too, young child?" She asked and Amaya sheepishly stepped up from behind Thor and nodded her head.

"We didn't say we were from the future," Thor said.

"I was raised by witches, boy. I see with more than eyes, you know that." Frigga said.

"Yeah, we're totally from the future," Thor said as he started to cry.

"Yes, you are honey." She said and then she looked at Amaya. "And you look familiar... you look like one of Thor's friends... what was her name, Katherine? Who you brought here just two years ago." Frigga said and Amaya nodded her head.

"Katherine is my mother." She said.

"I really need to talk to you," Thor said to his mom.

"We can talk," Frigga said before pulling her son into a hug, which made Amaya smile to see Thor reunited with his mom. Frigga brought the two of them to her room so that Thor could talk to her. Thor recounted everything that he's been through in the last years, and leaving with what happened to Thanos, and how he felt like an idiot who failed.

Amaya liked Frigga and liked her wisdom. Thor wanted to tell his Mom about her fate that was to come, but she stopped him, right as Rocket ran into the room where they were, and Amaya could see the red, liquid-looking thing inside of what Rocket had, and their mission was complete.

"Hi." Rocket said and Frigga waved at him. "You must be mom. I got the thing. Come on. We gotta move." Rocket said looking at the two of them.

"Oh, I wish we had more time," Thor said.

"No, this was a gift. Now you go and be the man you're meant to be. Tell me one thing though, did you and Nikita make it?" Frigga asked and Thor nodded his head.

"Yeah... we did, but now she's gone... but we're going to bring her back," Thor said and Frigga smiled. "I love you, Mom," Thor said.

"I love you," Frigga responded before wrapping her son in another hug. Seeing this made Amaya realize how much of a bitch she's been to both of her parents in the last five years. It wasn't their fault that Christian and Peter were gone, and she knows that her parents are probably suffering worse than she is about missing Christian. Now all she wanted to do was give them hugs and tell them that she loves them.

"Come on, we gotta go. Three... two...-" Thor cut him off.

"...-No, wait!" Thor exclaimed while holding his hand out. He wanted to see if he could summon the Mjolnir.

"What am I looking at?" Rocket asked.

"Oh, sometimes it takes a second," Frigga said. Amaya could hear the wind as a hammer flew through the open window and right into Thor's hand. Amaya saw a bright smile come onto Thor's face as he looked at his hammer.

"I'm still worthy." He said.

"Isn't your past self going to miss that?" Amaya asked as she and Rocket had their quantum suits form around them and Thor chuckled.

"He'll be okay." He said.

"Oh boy." Rocket said. Thor looked at his Mom.

"Goodbye, mom." He said and Frigga smiled at him and said bye before they all disappeared.

Back to the present.

2012 ― New York

Steve and Katherine made their way outside, Steve still had the scepter in his hands. "Cap, Kat." The couple turned around when they heard Tony's voice and they saw him and Scott sitting in a broken-down car. They both looked completely defeated, so Katherine knows they lost the stone.

"Sorry, guys... we got a problem," Tony said. Scott scoffed from the backseat.

"Yeah, we do." He said. Scott got out of the car and explained how 2012 Hulk was basically the one to ruin everything when he busted out of the door and knocked Tony down and knocked the tesseract away from him.

"Well, what are we going to do now?" Steve asked.

"You know what? Give me a break, Steve. I just got hit in the head with the Hulk." Tony said. He was still sitting in the car, with the door open.

"You said that we have one shot. This was our shot. We shot it. It's shot. Six stones or nothing. It was six stones or nothing." Scott said.

"You're repeating yourself, you know that? You're repeating yourself." Tony said.

"You're repeating yourself. You're repeating yourself." Scott said and Katherine sighed.

"Dude. Come on."

"No. You never wanted a time heist. You weren't on board with the time heist."

"I dropped the ball."

"You ruined the time heist."

"Is that what I did?"

"Yeah."

"Are there any other options with the Tesseract?" Steve asked and then Katherine sighed as she nodded her head and stepped up.

"No, no, no, there are no other options. There are no do-overs, we're not going anywhere else. We have one particle left. Each. That's it, alright? We use that... bye-bye, you're not going home." Scott said while slamming the back door closed.

"Yeah, well if we don't try... then no one else is going home either," Steve said.

"And we won't get Christian back," Katherine said and then she sighed. "I got it. There's another way to retake the Tesseract and get new particles." Katherine said and then Tony got out of the car and looked at Katherine and Steve. "Little stroll down memory lane. Military installation, Garden State. Another hint... we went there with Nat in 2014." Katherine said and Steve's face lit up in recognition, as did Tony's.

"When were they both there?" Steve asked.

"They were there together the same year that my godson was born. 1970." Katherine said.

"Wait, who was there? What are you guys talking about?" Scott asked.

"Well, it looks like we're improvising," Steve said.

"Great. What are we improvising?" Scott asked.

"Scott, get this back to the compound," Steve said while giving him Loki's scepter.

"Suit up," Katherine said to the boys.

"What's in New Jersey?" Scott asked.

"0-4, 0-7, 0-7, 1-9-7-0. April 14th, 1970." Katherine said to the men and they both looked at her.

"Are you sure?" Steve asked.

"I was alive, neither of you were," Katherine said.

"Captain, Cap. Steve?" Scott said and all three of them looked at Scott. "Sorry." He apologized. "America, Rogers. Look, if you do this and it doesn't work, you're not coming back." He said.

"Thanks for the pep talk, pissant," Tony said, and Katherine looked at Scott.

"Tell Amaya that me and her Dad love her, just in case," Katherine said, and then Tony looked at Steve.

"You trust me?" He asked. Katherine didn't know what to expect. They've been in a rough spot since Berlin, and she didn't know if they trusted each other again.

"I do," Steve said.

"You guys trust me?" Katherine asked, and they both nodded their heads.

"Your call, Kat," Tony said.

"Here we go," Katherine said. They both double-tapped the braces on their wrists and their quantum suits overtook their bodies, and then they disappeared.

Whew, we still got quite a few time heist chapters to go. But the next chapter will include the scene from Katherine's first book that I told you to remember.
