2023 ― Upstate New York
"There's beer on the ship."

Steve Rogers stood outside of the Avengers facility after a failed attempt to work time travel with Bruce, Natasha, and Scott. He missed his wife and his daughter, and he didn't know when they were going to come back, and as he was standing out there, he heard the engine of a car revving as it sped into the parking lot and pulled up to a stop right in front of Steve. The windows were tinted so he couldn't see in, but when the window rolled down he chuckled a little.

Katherine was on the other side.

She lowered her sunglasses and smiled at Steve. "Hey handsome, you seen my husband anywhere?" She asked, and Steve laughed as he rolled his eyes and leveled his fists.

"Husband? I ought to fight him. Where is he?" Steve asked, looking around. Tony looked at the two of them and raised an eyebrow.

"Why the long face?" He asked Steve, who gave no response. "Let me guess, he turned into a baby?" Tony asked, and Katherine raised an eyebrow.

"Wait... who turned into a baby?" She asked.

"Long story, and among other things, yeah. What are you doing here?" Steve asked.

"Well... bringing your wife and daughter back to you, for one. For two, it's the EPR Paradox. Instead of pushing Lang through time, you might've wound up... pushing time through Lang. It's tricky, dangerous. Somebody could've cautioned you against it." Tony said as he, Katherine, and Amaya all got out of the car.

"You did," Steve said nodding his head.

"Oh, did I? Well, thank god I'm here," Tony said and Katherine rolled her eyes.

"Regardless, Tony fixed it," Katherine said as Tony held up his hand so Steve could see the band that was around it.

"A fully functioning time-space GPS. I just want peace. It turns out resentment is corrosive, and I hate it." Tony said and Steve nodded his head.

"Me too," Steve said.

"We got a shot here at getting these stones, but I gotta tell you my priorities. Bring back what we lost? I hope, yes. Keep what I found? I have to, at all costs. And maybe not die trying, would be nice." Tony said which made Katherine laugh.

"I think that one was the obvious one." She said.

"Sounds like a deal," Steve said while holding his hand out, which Tony took and shook in his own, which made Katherine smile. Berlin was hard, on all of them, but Katherine was happy to see that they were taking a step in the right direction of getting along. Then they let go and Tony opened up his trunk, pulling something out of the back to give to him.

His shield.

Steve sighed as he saw it. "Tony, I don't know..." Steve said and Katherine shook her head, while Amaya smiled.

"Come on, Dad... it's yours." Amaya said.

"Why? As Little Rogers said, it's yours. My dad made it for you. Plus, honestly, I have to get it out of the garage before Morgan takes it sledding." Tony said which made Katherine laugh.

"I can totally see that happening," Katherine said. Steve took the shield back and Katherine looked at it on her husband's arm and she smiled. "Man, I missed that thing, and the way you look with it," Katherine said. Steve looked at his wife and raised an eyebrow, and she just winked in return.

"Mom... seriously," Amaya said which made Katherine laugh more.

"Thank you, Tony," Steve said sincerely.

"Will you keep that a little quiet? Didn't bring one for the whole team. We are getting a whole team, yeah?" Tony asked and Steve nodded his head.

"We're working on that right now."

2023 ― New Asgard

The last five years for Thor have been difficult.

He was depressed. He showed all the classic signs of it. Some people may be thinking, a deity couldn't get depressed but, it's very possible, and clearly what was happening to Thor. All he did was stay in the house and play video games with Korg and Miek while Valkyrie basically ran New Asgard.

When they first came, it wasn't too bad, but then as the weight of everything with Thanos started to come down on Thor, and the more he missed Nikita, he just didn't want to do anything anymore, especially lead a new 'kingdom.' Valkyrie was getting supplies in town when she saw Rocket and Bruce approaching her.

"You shouldn't have come." She said.

"Ah, Valkyrie. Good to see you, angry girl." Bruce said as he and Rocket approached her.

"I think I liked you better either of the other ways. How'd you find us?" Valkyrie said.

"It wasn't that hard." Banner said and then he turned to Rocket. "This is Rocket." Banner introduced him, but she wanted to get right to the point. She knew why they were here.

"How are you doing?" Rocket asked her.

"He won't see you," Valkyrie said to Banner.

"It's that bad, huh?" Banner asked.

"We only see him once a month when he comes in for 'supplies,'" Valkyrie said looking over towards the kegs of beer.

"It's that bad..." Banner said and she nodded her head.

"Yeah. He lost his brother, a friend that he trusted, and the love of his life all to Thanos. It is that bad. You can try to go see him, but... No promises." Valkyrie said. They nodded their heads, and she led them in the direction of where Thor was living. Rocket knocked, hard before realizing that the door was open so they all stepped inside.

"Watch your head," Valkyrie said as they walked inside.

"Thanks," Banner responded and once they were inside, she backed away and left the house to let them do their thing.

"Whew! Something died in here!" Rocket exclaimed.

"Hello? Thor!" Banner exclaimed as they heard a bottle break and they walked into the living room area, where Thor was sitting on the chair that he's always sitting in.

"Are you here about the cable?" Thor asked, and Bruce sighed, already hearing in his tone that he's drunk, like he usually is. But Banner hated seeing him like this, but after losing his brother and the love of his life, he didn't blame him.

Both of his parents and his brother are dead. His sister is dead. His entire country is destroyed. Nikita is gone. Thor has been through a lot, and Bruce knows he's traumatized, and depressed about it, and Bruce knew the deep feeling of despair, he felt the same thing in his early days after first becoming The Hulk.

"The Cinemax went out two weeks ago... and the sports are all kinda fuzzy and whatnot." He mumbled mainly to himself, and then he looked up and saw that Banner and Rocket were in the room and his eyes lit up. "Boys! Oh my god! Oh my god, it's so good to see you." Thor said as he gave Banner a hug, and when he stepped away, he turned to look at Rocket. "Come here, cuddly little rascal," Thor said pulling him to his side.

"Yeah, no. I'm good, I'm good. That's not necessary." Rocket protested.

"Hulk, you know my friends Miek and Korg, right?" Thor said.

"Hey, boys!" Korg said.

"Hey, guys. Long time, no see." Bruce said to them.

"Beers in the bucket. Feel free to log onto the Wi-Fi. No password, obviously. Thor, he's back. That kid on the TV just called me a dickhead again." Korg said and Bruce looked to see that they were playing a videogame. They were always playing video games.

"Noobmaster," Thor said.

"Yeah, Noobmaster69 just called me a dickhead," Korg spoke.

"I am sick of this," Thor said before grabbing Korg's headset. "Noobmaster, hey, it's Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder. Listen, bud, if you don't log off this game immediately, I am gonna fly over your house, come down to that basement you're hiding in... rip off your arms and shove them up your butt! Oh right, yes, go cry to your father you little weasel!" Thor snapped before handing Korg his headset back.

"Thank you, Thor," Korg said and Rocket looked at Bruce.

"So... that bad," Bruce said and Rocket nodded his head.

"So, you guys want a drink? What are we drinking? I've got beer, tequila, all sorts of things." Thor said while turning around as he chugged a beer. Banner walked up to him and laid a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Buddy. You alright?" Banner asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Why?" Thor asked but he was clearly not fine, and anyone could tell. "Why? Don't I look alright?" He asked.

"You look like melted ice cream." Rocket said and Bruce nudged him hard. "Hey!" He exclaimed.

"So, what's up? You just here to hang, or what?" Thor asked taking another drink of his beer.

"We need your help. There might be a chance we could fix everything." Banner said.

"Like the cable? Because that's been driving me bananas for weeks." Thor said as he let out a burp and Banner shook his head.

"Like Thanos." Banner said and Thor immediately froze. They never speak Thanos' name because it's like Thor's mood completely shifts when he hears it and he just goes dark. Thor put his hand down on Bruce's shoulder and made him turn to face him while pointing his other finger in his face.

"Don't say that name," Thor said while his voice was starting to break, and Korg walked over to the pair.

"Um, yeah, we don't actually say that name in here," Korg said.

"Please take your hand off me." Banner said while gently removing Thor's hand from his shoulder. "Now, I know that guy... might scare you."

"Why would I be...?" Thor trailed off as he scoffed. "Why would I be scared of that guy? I'm the one who killed that guy, remember? Anyone else here kill that guy? Nope. Didn't think so." Thor said and Banner sighed while laying a hand on his shoulder. "Korg, why don't you uh, tell everybody who chopped Thanos' big head off?" Thor asked walking past Banner and Rocket to grab some food.

"Um... Stormbreaker?" Korg said.

"Who was swinging Stormbreaker?" Thor asked taking another sip of his beer as Banner approached him again.

"I get it. You're in a rough spot, okay? I've been there myself. And you want to know who helped me out of it?" Banner asked.

"Uh... was it uh... um, Natasha?" Thor asked.

"It was you. You helped me. You and Nikita both." Banner said.

"Don't say her name." Thor slightly snapped. Silence hung in the air and Bruce realized his mistake. He shouldn't have brought her up. "Why don't you ask... the Asgardians down there... how much my help is worth?" Thor said, sitting back down in his chair. "The ones that are left, anyway," Thor said.

"The Asgardians, your people... they still love you, and they miss you. And, I think we could bring them back." Banner said.

"Stop. Stop, okay?" Thor said, as he grabbed a pack of candy and he sniffled. "I know you think I'm down here wallowing in my own self-pity... waiting to be recused and saved... but I'm fine, okay? We are fine, aren't we?" Thor asked as he looked at Meik and Korg.

"Oh, we're good here, mate," Korg said.

"So, whatever it is that you're offering, we're not into it. Don't care. I couldn't care less. Goodbye." Thor said.

"We need you, pal." Banner said.

It didn't look like Thor was going to budge. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to get his hopes up at their probable chance of bringing everyone back, because if it failed, he wouldn't get Nikita back. Rocket sensed his hesitation, and he knew how to make Thor come with them.

"There's beer on the ship."

Out of all of my OC's, the only couple to survive the snap with both members still here are kat and steve.
