It's always been you and me
since day one. In the past I
could never picture a day
without you, I was your
moon and you were my
moon.

But I can't help not notice
that you're trying to take
away my spotlight. The
first was just so you
could have your moment,
second time... oh why not...
third time... I got a fright.

Mother knows best and yet
again, she was right. You're
starting to take my place out
of spite.

I love you but you're a snake
My spotlight back I have to
take. I'll let you have one
last moment for old time's
sake. Because our bond
I'd never want to break.

This may sound petty, mean
and vindictive. But I think
the closest person to me,
has ulterior motives
