Alan

"Tell me where the fuck you went to last night"

"How is that supposed to concern you?"

"I'm your damn husband!"

"That doesn't give you the right to control my movements. For goodness sake, I'm an independent woman!"

Rolling on my bed for the umpteenth time, tired of hearing my parents argue over and over again.

I stood up, grabbed a t-shirt, pants, and shoes, dressed up, and left my room.

Getting to the sitting room where they were arguing, I looked at them both, a mixture of disgust and disappointment written on my face and they stopped, looking back at me.

As I headed to the door, a masculine voice called out making me stop in my tracks "And where do you think you're going?"

Turning my head slightly to the side, I didn't reply but just opened the door and went through it, making sure to slam it.

Once in my car, I exhaled loudly, keeping my fists which have been clenched the whole time on the steering wheel. I brought out a cigarette and then lit it up.
I let out a long breath of the cigar smoke, running my hand through my already messy hair, letting the cigarette do its job of relaxing me.
After a while, it did just that.

I picked up my phone to text Jake and unsurprisingly saw innumerable texts and missed calls from Tracey.

Like which part of it is over and never to call did she not get?

Fucking slut, that's what she is.

Shaking my head as the image of her kissing Carl on the field during football practice popped up in my head. She was just trying to get to me but I'd be damned if it actually did.

I deleted all the texts from her after seeing a few;

~ Baby, I miss you

~this is all a misunderstanding, let's talk? :-)

~I forgive you for what you did back there at the cafeteria

~you love me, stop denying the attraction ;-)

I rolled my eyes at the last one before deleting them all and the others she sent.

Thinking about it now, I don't even know why I went into a relationship with her. I could have just slept with her without actually dating her. As much as that made me sound like an asshole, it's the truth. I will admit she's pretty with an amazing pair of tits, an IQ of negative five and the slyness of a snake.

I'm not mad at her for sleeping around behind my back cos I ain't no saint either, more mad at myself for getting manipulated into a relationship.

She just had to go sleeping around even while we were dating.

And girls wonder why guys hate dating.

Deciding on a way to let out my pent-up annoyance and anger, I texted this girl called Lucy or something.

Me: you home?

Her: yeah, here's my address

She sent her address without me asking.

Well, I guess that's what desperation can do right? I wouldn't blame them though, having a reputation as a bad boy of East Creek High isn't easy so fucking with me is more of a privilege.

A smirk appeared on my lips with that thought as I brought the engine of my car to life and then zoomed off to what is awaiting me.

Raven

"Do I really have to go?" I whined out for the millionth time since Olie told me I'm attending some party tonight. Rolling her eyes, she answered me for the millionth time also

"Yeah, you do... Now stay still while I round up your makeup, you wouldn't want me to botch your makeup and you get there looking like you merely escaped a horror show".

I would have actually preferred that as long as it was an excuse fit enough to escape Olie and ditch this damn party.

"I would have preferred staying at home, watching Netflix". The mental image of me crawled up in my silk sheets watching a horror movie with a bowl of caramel-filled popcorn cropped up in my head

Urgh... I could kill to be in that state right now than go to a hornet's nest of teenagers cramped up in a room and tagged as 'partying'.

I scoffed as I folded my hands already feeling my great dislike to this party and wanting all this to be over with.

Olie saw my expression but she ignored me as she applied my mascara.

"Do I need this makeup?" I asked pouting, making her exhale loudly before replying

"Yes you do Raven, you have to look sexy as hell because you're coming with me and many seniors are going to be there, and now can you shut the fuck up and let me finish this damn thing or I swear I'm going to shove my makeup brush down your throat!" she said sternly leaving no room for arguments and none were made after that as I decided to leave her to do her thing.

**

"You said the party's starting by 8" looking at the clock in her room, "It's 9:30 already"

"Yeah, I know Rv, where's the fun in going to parties on time, you go an hour or even two hours late when it's in full swing" She looked at me through the mirror on the dressing table as she spoke, applying the finishing touches to her hair and makeup while I sat a restless tensed up mess on her bed.

"Aaaaannd I'm done" She smiled widely as she stood up and spun around giving me a few views of herself and her curves which were not too outstanding but were still there and on display.

Damn.

To say she looked stunning was an understatement in the black long-sleeve bodycon dress she wore with a square neckline that went low enough to give a small but nice view of her boobs, the length of her dress exactly at her mid-thigh showing off her recent tanned skin, topped with black high heels.

"So tell me, how do I look?" She asked, showing a few poses that would have gotten her thousands of likes on any of her social media handles.

"Hot" I simply said, still ogling my best friend.

"Hot enough to get Alan's attention?" She asked, wriggling her eyebrows, a goofy smile on her face but a glimpse of hope twinkling in her eyes. Yeah right.

How would I forget she's going there for the sole purpose of seducing Alan?

Any guy will literally go insane to bed her in that thing called a dress she's wearing.

Rolling my eyes at her ignorance and obvious attention-seeking, I spoke with boredom, making her smile drop. "Can we go now before I change my mind about this whole thing?"

She glared at me as she muttered "Party pooper" and then grabbed her purse. "Let's get going sour puss" she said again before leaving through the door. I shook my head as I caught up with her

"Say whatever but a fact's that I see no fun in all this shit. You go to a party" air quoting the 'party', "get wasted, dance around like mad imbeciles, and regret it all together in the morning".

We walked down the flight of stairs as she said whatever and stuck her tongue out at me, making me laugh as we made our way downstairs.

Her parents are usually not around so we don't have to worry about anyone shunning us for leaving the house late at night except for Maria, her assistant who is probably home since it's a weekend.

Normally, my mum would yell but I told her I'm spending the night out at Olie's so she didn't mind. Turns out, I was actually tricked by Olie to do that, she never mentioned me going to some shitty high school party, or else I'll be snuggled beside Popsicle, my stuffed koala on my bed enjoying the night and relaxing my nerves after a week of stupid school activities.

Hell, I would even rather watch those boring CDs mum has about historical events than be there.

See how enthusiastic I am? Note the sarcasm there.

I sighed out loud as I buckled my seatbelt in the Uber we got and slouched back in my seat.

Olie is probably gonna be drunk by the end of the night so she saw no use in bringing one of her fancy ass cars, so we just got an Uber instead.

Damn, I miss my bed already.
