High school is rough enough on it's own, it's even worse when you have a million other things on your mind.

My whole life was a mess after momma died, and now I would finally be able to give her peace.
My grades were slipping and my emotional state shone all over my face. I hadn't really talked to many people at school. No one was really ever interested in me.

Class was just about to begin when someone unfamiliar walked into the room.
A tall,thin, dark headed boy walked in and stood beside the teacher; he was introduced as Ben.

The only empty seats were the seats on my left and in front of me, everyone wanted to sit by smart people or their friends.
Ben made his way to the seat to the left of me and looked up at me. His big brown eyes had a sad look to them.
"Seat taken?" He asked standing with a binder in his folded arms.
"Nope." I said still looking into his eyes trying to figure out what it was that wouldn't allow me to look away.
"I'm Ben." He said as he sat down with a slump.
I chuckled "I heard."
"I'm Allie by the way." I said looking back into his big brown eyes.
"Nice." He said with a blasé tone.
Class went on and I just couldn't shake how drawn I was to this guy.

At lunch I saw a tall, pale, dark haired boy walk into the room. His eyes were wide, he was obviously nervous. Ben seemed to look in my direction for a short moment, but then moved towards the line.

I sat alone every day, until today. Ben sat beside me, I guess he sat there because he saw a familiar face and it was instinct to stick to something he recognized.

Over time Ben and I grew closer. Before I knew it, I was falling for him. I told myself I couldn't trust another man, but something about him just seemed so right.
