Mal looked at me like I just flipped my lid.

"She what!?" Mal screamed, scaring a few birds.

"Mal, calm down. They'll be fine."

"No they won't! This is why I don't make friends. Because my mother will use them against me! Come on Max." Mal yelled, crying.

"Where are we going?" Max asked.

"Where else? To go find the guys." Mal stomped away.

I ran in front of her. "You can't do this."

"Why not?"

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because it's DANGEROUS!"

"I know! That's why I have to save Ben and Fang! Come on Max."

Max followed Mal away as I yelled "You'll never find them!"

"And why's that?" Mal screamed back.

"Because you don't even know where they are!"

"I'll figure it out!" That's when Mal and Max let out their wings and flew into the sky.

"What got you so worried all of a sudden?" Sara asked me. I just remembered that she came with me to tell Mal.

"Mom wants me to bring Mal to her. She thinks I'm a double spy for her. She wants to kill her to get rid of her biggest threat."

"Mal's a threat to her?"

"Yes. She's the key to destroying her."

"Can she even be destroyed?"

"Yes, but only by the princess of light, which is Mal."

"So Mal is the princess of light in that old legend?"

"Yes. And I'm her protector. I have to protect. I'm spying on them. Wanna come?"

"This is a bad idea, but sure. Someone has to break you out of Mal jail."
