Doug
"Do you really think that she's okay?" Evie asked.
"Yeah. We'll find her. Besides, I think Ben will freak if we don't."
"Wanna make out?" Evie asked.
"Yeah. God, I hope Mal doesn't look into our minds."
"Doug, that's the point. We want her to look into our minds so that she can scream frustration."
"Good plan. Hey Ben! We need to talk!"
Ben walked over. "Sure, what's up?"
"You see, occasionally when Mal sees into our minds, she does it at the most inopportune time, when Doug and I are making out. So if Mal just so happens to catch us while we're making out," Evie began.
"Then she could yell in frustration, which would allow us to find her quicker." I finished.
"Good thinking. Do your thing. I won't peak." Ben said, turning around.
Evie lead me behind a tree. We started kissing until it got out of control.
"NOT AGAIN!" Yelled a voice. It was Mal for sure.
"This way!" Ben said, running in the direction of Mal's screams, her saying very strong language.
We saw Mal standing with a bunch of other kids, all of which had wings.
"MAL!" I called out, cursing myself for being so idiotic. Mal looked at us, scowling that we found her.
"Strawberry, what's going on?" Asked one boy.
"Strawberry, really?" Ben asked. "So original Mal."
"Strawberries were on the mind, okay? What are you guys doing here?" She asked.
"Jay found your blog." I said. "We instantly got worried. Especially Ben."
Ben looked at me. "Did not!"
"I'm sorry Ben, but you did." Evie said. "You started arguing with Jay!"
"Sorry, but I wanted my girlfriend to, you know, be alive!"
"Ben, chill." Mal said, throwing a snowball at his head.
"Where did you get that?" I asked.
"Turns out, I have snow powers. Don't ask me about it though."
"Is this C, E, and J?" Asked the kid who was standing next to Mal.
"No, this is B, D, and E. You got one right Fang."
"Strawberry just wants to protect you guys. I'm sure you would all do the same thing." Said the one Mal called Fang.
"Why though?" Ben asked.
"She believes that her mother is tracking her. She left to protect you." Said a girl with blonde hair and pink highlights. "For your own safety, I think you guys should leave."
"What about you guys? Don't you think you should leave to?" Evie asked.
"We've had experience with this kinda stuff. We'll be fine." The girl said.
"Guys, just go. I'll be fine." Mal said, walking back to the fire that everyone else was sitting by.
Ben marched over. "I can't believe you! The girl I know would never back out when her friends needed her!"
Mal looked at us, with tears in her eyes. "Trust me. This is the single hardest thing I've ever done. Just go. Tell no one that you saw me. I want to be kept hidden. Please."
Like the idiot I am, I sighed and said "Okay. Just be safe. Don't get hurt. You have to survive for your friends."
Mal looked at me. "Thanks Doug. Keep them safe for me. Okay?"
"Okay. Come on guys. Let's go back to camp." I said as Evie and Ben followed me out of the other camp and back to ours.
"Why did you agree with her Doug!?" Ben asked outraged once we got away from the camp.
"I did it because I want everyone to be safe." I answered.
"But did you ever think that Mal wasn't going to be safe!?"
"Mal knows what she's doing. I trust her. Don't you?"
