"Hey Cinder, you better see this." Thorne called from outside. I walked out and saw lush green fields, the sun shining, and birds chirping.

"This isn't Luna!" Winter said, coming up next to me. "Where are we?"

Text flooded my vision : Earth: 2016 A. D.

"What the heck!?"

"What's wrong Cinder?" Kai asked behind me.

"According to my netscreen in my head, we're on Earth."

"This isn't anywhere I've seen on Earth."

"That's because the year is 2016 A. D."

"Are you saying we traveled back in time Cinder?" Cress asked. She was next to Thorne down on the grass.

"Yeah. Should we try to find food?"

"Yeah. Hopefully tomatoes." Wolf said as Scarlet followed him out of the ship. I turned to Winter.

"Go wake up Jacin. Tell him that we're going to go get food."

"Okay." Winter ran back into the ship, her dark hair bouncing. Jacin walked out 5 minutes later, with a blanket wrapped around him. Winter followed him.

"I didn't tell you to drag him out! I said to wake him up!"

"I know, but dragging him out was funner."

"Winter, funner isn't a word." Scarlet said.

"Well, to me it is."

"Can we just go get breakfast so I can go back to sleep?" Jacin asked.

I sighed. "Okay everyone. Move out."

We walked around until we came across a town. I saw a place called Granny's Diner.

"Let's go there. Winter, do you think you can use your glamour to make Wolf less wolfy?" I asked.

"Sure." Winter said as Wolf's fangs got hidden and his tattoo vanished. I used my glamour to hide my leg and hand from human view.

We walked in and saw a girl asleep on the table and three kids around her. We sat at the other end of the room as the girl on the table woke up. She had long curly blonde hair and big green eyes. One of the kids hugged her as she laid eyes on me. I enhanced my hearing as she whispered in the guy's ear, "Is it just me, or does that girl have a metal leg and hand? And does that guy have wolf fangs?"

"No, are you crazy!?" Whispered the boy she asked back.

"What's going on?" Kai asked me.

"She can see through the glamour." I said.

"How?"

"I have no idea, but she's human, I can tell that much."

"Can we just eat?" Asked Wolf once our food came.

"I'm going to ask." Said the girl.

"No! Don't!" Said the boy, but she already walked away.

"Sorry to interrupt, but do you have a metal lag and a metal hand?" She asked me.

"What? Are you crazy?" I asked as Iko burst into diner. Some of her wires were showing. I quickly hid her wires using my glamour, but it didn't work with the girl.

"You're a robot." That's all she said.

"What! No I'm not!"

"Um, I can see your wires. You're a robot."

"Cinder! Didn't you do the thing!?" Iko asked me.

"I did. Trust me. I did. She can see through it."

"See through what!? I want to know why you have robot limbs and why he has wolf teeth!" She asked.

"It's a long story."

"I have the time. Now spill, and I'll tell you my story."

"You have a story?" Thorne asked, looking surprised.

"Don't most people? Now spill."

"Hello." Said the boy she was talking to earlier. "I'm sorry if my girlfriend is interrupting your meal. She thought she saw something."

"Ben, just touch her hand."

"Mal, I'm not going to-"

"Just do it!" The boy touched my hand and felt the cold metal. He looked at the girl.

"Some people just have naturally cold hands."

"Touch both hands at the same time."

"Mal, I'm not going to-"

"Do it or I will go back down there!"

The boy did as she said, then recoiled his hand.

"One's cold, the other's warm." Then the girl took out her phone and took a picture of Wolf while he was eating a tomato. Then she showed the picture to the boy. His eyes widened.

"Now you're seeing what I'm seeing. Now tell us your story." Said the girl.

"May wanna sit down. This is gonna take a while." I said as I started telling our story.

Okay, that's the end of the chapter, and in case you didn't know, the new characters are from Melissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles, which is a mixed up version of classic fairy tales. For example, Cinderella (Cinder) is a cyborg, the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood (Wolf) is a genetically mutated person, Rapunzel (Cress) is a computer hacker, and Snow White (Winter) is crazy. It's really good and I recommend it.
