Song: "What's New Scooby-Doo?" - Simple Plan

(FYI, I'm terrified, but I want to try this. This is how I developed original stories back in the day. Besides, I need something light-hearted while I work on Bill and the Whistling Death.)

Don't ask—LOL!

I wasn't originally planning on entering ONC 2025, but then I began binge-watching my childhood, What's New Scooby-Doo?, and well, I found a prompt, and here I am.

This is a fanfic set in the backdrop of a character and pitch I created ten years ago known as The Ghost of Ontario, which I plan to eventually rewrite as an updated original story. Therefore, this challenge will be a great way to prepare me for the rewrite. Besides, I always felt that The Ghost of Ontario would make the perfect Scooby-Doo mystery, so I might as well begin here. I've always enjoyed Freddie, and I tend to like male protagonists more than female protagonists, so yeah... It's time for him to feel the torch of Viktoria Fyodorova—LOL!

This is probably my stupidest yet most creative idea. Then again, Milo and Maisie from last year's ONC evolved from cat videos on Facebook.

I'm a little late joining the party, but I still have over a week to write the first 2,000 words, so we'll see. Even if it doesn't work out, I'm pleased to begin prepping for The Ghost of Ontario's long-awaited rewrite with a darn Scooby-Doo fanfic.

What is wrong with me?
