(Y/n) POV

At the beginning of the day, before class starts, all of our conversations revolve around mostly the same thing; internships. Ochako and I had a good time at our internship and we did do a lot, but it wasn't all that eventful. I listen to everyone else's story and what happened at their internship, some had even less done than Ochako and I while others had an eventful internship.

Aizawa-sensei arrives to class on time for the first time in forever and everyone scurries to their own seat.

Our normal lesson goes on and we have a very normal school day. At the end of the day Aizawa-sensei talks to us and we all freak out.

"Okay, I think you guys already know, but your written exams are in exactly a week," he says. "Keep studying. See you tomorrow."

I suddenly hear Kaminari yelling from behind me, "I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT! Oh no, I'm going to fail."

Everyone starts to scream or yell or rationally talk about how it's almost impossible to fail as long as you listen to class (<-- Todoroki perfect Shoto)

I go up to Kaminari, "Hey, Kaminari-kun, how were your midterms?"

"I don't even want to think about my midterms, forget talking about them," he says.

I laugh a little, "Don't worry, I won't judge."

"I think I got last place," he says sadly and I judge him a little.

"You're judging me! You said you wouldn't!" he says.

"Ahaha... Sorry..." I smile a little.

'I wonder how I'll study... Maybe I'll force Shoto to study with me...' I think.

While many people screaming in terror and horror, Momo decided to suggest an idea.

"Um, would you like to have a study week with me?" She suggests.

Many people scream yes and I thought that Kaminari would be one of them but he just daydreams out the window. I wonder if he's okay, he doesn't seem like the usual Kaminari.

While Momo starts talking about how she's going to open up her hall and what kind of tea everyone wants, the words start to go through one ear and out the other. My mind starts to wander off while I start packing my bag, until I hear Shoto's name.

"Shoto-san," Momo calls out. "Would you be interested in coming over for our study session?"

"Alright, don't see why not," he says.

"Okay, then we'll all meet at..." she says but her words are drowned out by my thoughts.

'He's going. Again. He's going. I guess I'll just study by myself.' I think, hurt and look sadly towards the ground. 'What am I so dejected about? I knew this would happen. It always happens. Why did I even think that anything would change?'

"(Y/n), do you want to come to Momo's study session with me?" Shoto comes over to ask.

'Are you stupid?' I think so strong the words almost leave my mouth. Almost.

"Uh, sorry Shoto, I have to go," I say without lifting my head and run out the classroom.

Kaminari POV

'No. Don't. Stop. She's not going to be able to take it. She's going to fall apart,' I think.

"What is that stupid guy doing?" Uraraka says under her breath. She's about to walk towards Todoroki when Bakugou stops her again.

"I'm serious, Bakugou," she says. "I need to slap some sense into him."

I just daydream out the window. 'I wish that they'll be a day that (Y/n) slaps some sense into him,' I think. 'She's allowed to be angry, but I don't think she's processed that.'

(Y/n) POV

I just run, I don't why but I haven't felt this hurt in a really long time. Maybe it was because Shoto said some nice words and I was expecting a little more. Maybe it was because I was hoping for a little more.

I was hoping for more than I'll ever get.

I slow down a little and reorganize my bag. I ran out of the class and my stuff was everywhere.

'Oh shoot, I forgot my science textbook inside my desk,' I think. 'Ugh, but I can't go back now. Maybe I'll linger in the library for a few minutes, then I'll get it.'

I go to the library, study a bit and go back to the classroom to get my textbook. 'I hope everyone's gone,' I think as I enter the classroom.

To my surprise, Kaminari's still there with his textbook open, looking confused. I walk in super quietly, trying not to disrupt Kaminari since he looked focused. I get to my desk, pick up the science textbook that I needed and I'm about to get out of the classroom when I decide to creep up to Kaminari. I crouch down in front of his desk but he doesn't seem to realize that I'm there.

I smile. 'That's so cute, he's so focused.' I think. 'Wait did I just think he was cute? No, that didn't happen. Definitely not.' I snap out of my thoughts.

My eyes are level with Kaminari's desk as I try to take a peek at what he's studying. 'Oh, that's math,' I think. 'Just so happens to be my best subject.'

I watch him struggle some more and after a few minutes, he finally takes a stretch and notices me.

"(Y/N)?? W-what, s-since when were you there?" He asks flustered.

"A few minutes ago," I say. "What do you not understand?"

"Uh, like, everything?" He says.

"Okay, so which question were you on? #3?" I ask and he nods back. "That's geometry! I love it! Okay so let's see this. You're trying to find the degree of angle AFE right? So you know EFC is a right angle triangle, you know that AFB is another right angle triangle so... wait a second, these are 30-60-90 triangles! Both of them! In a square! This question couldn't get easier, Kaminari, F is 60 degrees."

"I understood half of that," he says.

"Okay, at least you got half of it. Which part do you not get? I'll explain it again," I say.

After a bit, he understood what to do and I had to smile.

"I'm glad you understand it," I say with a smile.

"Thank you for helping me, and I'm sorry that took so long, did you need to go anywhere today?" he asks.

"Nope, don't worry about anything. I'm perfectly free," I say.

"Okay, I'm glad," he says.

"Do you want me to help you a bit more?" I ask.

"Really? Would you?" he says.

"Of course!"

Kaminari POV

While solving a question, I sneak a peek at her. She's daydreaming out the window, but her eyes look so sad. Unbelievably sad.

"A-are you thinking about Todoroki?" I instinctively ask and immediately regret it.

"Ahaha... How'd you guess? Did I look that sad?" she says sadly. "I guess I was. I don't know. I don't know about anything anymore."

'No. No, stop. She doesn't deserve to look so sad,' I think.

I wish I could do something, but I can't. I gave up on her. She's never going to like someone like me. Does giving up mean that I can no longer like her anymore? But I can't do that. I like her. It's that simple., and there's nothing I can do about it.

So I just sit there. I sit there and look at the person I like, making a terribly sad expression over another guy.
