author note: trigger warnings for bullying and panic attacks. also, I just realized a mistake in this book. in chapter three I had Pepper not know about Peter getting hit by Happy but in chapter two pepper drives Steve and Bruce there. omg. IGNORE THAT PLOT HOLE

Peter's pov. . .

     I regretted turning in the form. I pray I wasn't picked, flash would kill me. I woke up this morning and l left my room to see Aunt May cooking on the stove.

     "morning. how'd you sleep?"

     "fine." I lied, "Do you work today?"

     may nodded and set down a plate with one egg, "I'll be working late. can you handle being home alone?"

     I rolled my eyes, "I'm fifteen may, I can take care of myself."

     "I know, it's just with your leg. . . I dont want to take any chances."

     "I'll be okay Aunt May. I promise."

     "alright. i have to go. i lobe you."

     "lobe you aunt may."

     i finished eating my breakfast and got ready for school. i then walked to school and only arrived a few minutes late.

     "alright class, i got the forms returned about the internship," miss warren said, i popped up a bit with excitement, "i am proud to announce that the winner of the internship is. . . peter parker!"

     i won? i won! oh my god this is so exciting! wait. . . i won. flash is going to kill me.

      i looked over and saw him threatingly move his thumb against his neck like he was slicing it while glaring.

     "after class peter, come to my desk and I'll explain what you'll need to do."

     i nodded not trusting myself enough to speak. i was glad i won, but now flash was going to kill me before i even get to do my first day.

     after class i made my way to miss warren's desk.

      "congratulations!" she said, "the internship is Tuesdays and Thursdays."

      phew, those are days aunt may works late, i dont have to lie to her.

     "wait, today's Tuesday."

     "today's your first day!" she exclaimed, "pepper said she'll be with happy today to pick you up."

     "oh, that's nice."

      "congratulations again peter, I'll see you tomorrow."

      "bye miss warrens, and thanks."

      i hopped out of the classroom and rushed to the lunch room where i sat with ned.

     "congrats dude! you're getting to work with tony stark!"

     "yeah."

     i watched ned's eyes squint, "you should be more excited, tony stark is your idol!"

     "i am."

     suddenly i felt something coming. my body tensed up, i sat up straighter and looked around the room waiting for whatever was waiting.

     "what are you doing?" asked a voice a little bit farther from me, i turned and saw M.J sitting a few feet down the lunch table.

     "n-nothing." i answered, i stood up shocking Ned, "excuse me."

     i hobbled out of the lunch room and into the bathroom, my breathing was picking up and it got subsentianoly harder to let my lungs expand. suddenly the door slammed open and flash stormed in.

     "i-i dont want to fight." i breathed, "p-please."

     "if you didnt want a fight, then you shouldnt have applied like i warned you."

     flash came forwards and punched me,  i lost my balances and fell to the ground. flash and his friends kept punching me and kicking me after i was starting to wheeze they left laughing. my knee was agonizingly killing me, i needed to get this cast off. now.

     i grabbed the cast with both my hands and with the new found strength i realized i had, i ripped the cast in half, my leg looked completely fine and was starting to feel better. i stood up and was able to stand on my leg without any pain.

     school was almost over so i quickly cleaned my face off and saw my lip was busted and i had a black eye, i lifted my shirt and saw that there was a lot of bruises. i left the bathroom and headed to my locker where i grabbed my stuff then headed outside.

     i only got a few feet outside before i saw miss Potts running to me, she looked worried. i had completely forgot about the internship!

     "peter?! what happened?! where's your cast?" miss Potts demanded.

     "uh, i-i got it removed today. and i fell heading out here. I'm very clumsy." i lied, well. . . i didnt completely lie. i am very clumsy.

     "didnt you get hit two days ago?"

     ack! "no." i quickly replied hoping that it sounded believably.

     miss Potts looked me up and down like she didnt belive me, "alright. . . are you ready for the internship?"

     i nodded, "very. thank you for picking me. I'm very excited for this opportunity."

     "of course."

     i followed miss Potts to the car where i saw happy in the driver's seat again. it must be so cool to be able to drive Mr. stark around.

     we arrived at the tower relatively fast. i climbed out of the backseat and turned back around for just a second.

     "thank you Mr. happy!" i told him.

     i then closed the door and followed miss Potts inside the tower. i cant even belive that ive been in the tower twice in three days and it still amazes me every time.

     "peter?" i heard a voice asked, i turned and saw Mr. stark, "what are you doing here? where's your cast?"

     "uhh."

     "tony, this is your new intern."

     "really?" Mr. stark asked, he sounded surprised that i had won. . . "thats awsome. hey Pete, head up to my lab I'll be up there in a second."

     "oh, but-"

     Mr. stark clapped me on the back and walked passed me to miss Potts. i would head to Mr. starks lab but. . . i dont know where it is. i walked down the hall and prayed i didnt run into any more people that knew about my leg. i didnt even think about that when i was ripping the cast off.

     i headed down another hallway and ran into some employee named Tim.

     "excuse me." i said

     "yeah? who are you?"

     "I'm peter. peter parker. Mr. stark's new intern. I'm trying to find his lab."

     "ohhhh, good luck kid."

     with that Tim walked away. what? is he not going to help me? Mr. stark's employees are weird.

Tony's pov. . .

     i pulled pepper away from peter's earshot and waited till peter walked away to talk.

     "where's his cast?" i asked.

     "i dont know, he told me got it removed today."

     "he shouldnt have. the bone was out! he should've been in that cast for like two months! at least!" i exclaimed, "hey Friday."

     "yes boss?"

     "can you tell me who's peter's doctor is? i wanna know who thought his leg was healed enough to remove the cast after only two days of wearing it."

     "the last time peter went to a doctor besides Bruce was two months ago for a normal check up."

     "what? then how did he get his cast off?!"

     "i do not know."

     "okay. thanks fri." i kissed pepper on the cheek, "i gotta go. love you pep."

     pepper rolled her eyes, "love you too."

     i then headed up to my lab and saw peter sitting there waiting for me. i raised an eyebrow.

     "you found my lab fast. I'm impressed."

     "thank you Mr. stark."

     "how?"

     "we'll. . ."

peter's pov.  . .

     i watched as Tim walked away. maybe this was a test? yeah. . . a test. to see how well i can handle stress. maybe?

     okay. think. find Tony's lab. wait, tony has an AI right? maybe. . . i turned and walked down the hall further and looked up.

     "uh, Mr. starks AI? I'm sorry i dont remember your name."

     "hello peter. i am Friday. what do you need?"

     "i need to find Mr. starks personal lab. do you think you can help me?"

     "I'm sorry peter. tony has specifically forbiden me from giving that information to you, i quote "lets see how smart this smarty pants is according to pepper." unquote. however, I'm sure if he realized it was you he wouldn't have done it."

     "wow." i said, "okay. ummm."

     i had to figure out a way to find Mr. starks lab without Friday telling me. wait. . . what if she doesn't tell me?

     "miss Friday?"

     "yes peter?"

     "would you mind if i hack you? just for the purpose of finding Mr. starks lab?"

     "tony never said anything against that, however if you were to hack me then I'd have to use everything in my power to kick you out like your a threat."

     "okay."

     i look around my surrounding and smiled when the coast was clear, i then very innocently entered a room called "security." while whistling like some dumb character trying to look not suspicious. . . I'm not saying thats what I'm doing! i just like to whistle. luckily for me it was empty, some security.

     i sat at the desk and began tapping the keys of the computer and quickly got past the firewalls and in the security system. i clicked a file named "Friday" i quickly hit the button named disable and disabled Friday. i would un disable her after i find his lab, but first i couldnt have her trying to stop me. 

     i headed to the blue prints and quickly memorized them. i then re enabled Friday and quickly left the security room without being caught. i then headed straight to Mr. starks lab.

Tony's pov. . .

     i was in complete shock when peter finished telling me how he found my lab so fast.

     "no offense Mr. stark but you really need to update your security. after i got passed the first firewall, which wasnt even hard in the first place, it was easy sailing from there."

     "wow."

     "sorry."

     "dont apologize! that was amazing! I've never seen someone else be able to hack my security system without getting caught!" i exclaimed, "come on, lets get started."
