Chapter 2: Zombies

Keith sighed. Ever since he and Lance had their "moment", Keith felt uncomfortable. He was watching the news on TV with the crew
(Keith,Lance, Pidge(aka Katie), Hunk, Shiro, Allura(Coran comes in later) )

Suddenly the news reporter got serious.

"ATTENTION, CITIZENS OF xxxxx!!!! THERE HAS BEEN AN OUTBREAK OF AN UNKNOWN VIRUS, IF YOU SEE ANY INJURED, UNCONSCIOUS-LIKE-"

She paused

"'THINGS' STAY INSIDE, LOCK DOORS, BOARD WINDOWS AND POSSIBLY GET A WEAPON!!!"

"THE VIRUS CONTAINS: OPEAN WOUNDS, BRAINWASH-LIKE CONSCIOUS AND POSSIBLY CANNIBALIZISM!!!!!"

Hunk's eyes widened, "Cannibalizm? As in ZOMBIES?!?!"

"No way..."

"Oh my god"

"We're all gonna die!"

"Uhhhh"

Keith got up and looked out the window, sure enough, there were boarded windows every where and blood and bones and body parts. There were even some bodies in pools of blood.

Keith back away in fear and retched right there.

"Dude, Keith, you ok?"

Keith shook his head and pointed to the window, everyone took a peek than backed away.

Shiro got right to work, "Guys, the Garrison is not safe, too many windows and doors, our best bet is to go somewhere else, don't worry about anyone but yourself, meet up at Hunk's house."

Hunk lived at a bakery, a bakery on the bottom floor and his house on the second, his parents were away so he managed the bakery himself.

"Why at hunk's house?"

"He has food and the stores might run out so his house is our best bet."

Everyone ran their separate ways. Pidge went to go get ALL her gear. Lance got a bunch of junk. Keith got his important belongings and clothes. Shiro got only a few things. Hunk got his clothes. Allura got her important things and clothes.

Everyone had overspilling backpacks.

They were careful to avoid zombie mobs and dead bodies.

"Did you guys see that?"

"Those Zombies look so ugly, I think I might puke!"

"I-I'm not so great with b-blood uhhh"

As they blabbered on, Shiro assigned rooms, there were only 3 rooms. Hunk and Pidge agreed to share so they could do their tech stuff. Shiro and Allura would share since they were dating. That left Keith and Lance.

"NO WAY AM I SHARING A ROOM WITH THAT IDIOT!!!!!"

"BUTTTT SHIROOOOOO!!!"

"COME ON!!!!"

Shiro sighed and shook his head, "no, you guys HAVE to get along, our lives are at sake!"

They went to unpack.

They looked at each other, they had no longer blushed when they saw each other but Keith still felt uneasy.

"I get my side, you get yours, got it?"

Lance nodded.

They entered the room.

One Bed.

They looked at each other.

"Nope nope noooppppe!"

Keith jumped on the bed and hissed, "MINE!"

"Ok ok god"

Lance took a sleeping bag and a pillow and went to the other side of the room.

-----TIME SKIP-----

It was after dark, 10:00 pm .

Lance and Keith had trouble sleeping.
Keith was desperately pushing his blanket off and on and Lance kept tossing and turning.

"Would you stop Lance?!?"

"It's not like I'm the only one moving!"

"At least I'm quiet!"

Lance snorted and turned. It was now 11:37 and both boys were still awake, thinking.

Lance's voice was small, almost a whisper, "I really can't sleep."

"Same."

Lance sat up, "wanna play 20 questions?"

"What are you? 12?"

"Come onnnnnn!" Lance was practically begging.

Finally, Keith sat up and looked at him, both had messy hair. Lance smiled and Keith got a tingling feeling in his stomach what the hell me? Probably just not enough sleep. Keith thought.

"I'll go first, what are your fears?"

"You." Keith mumbled.

"What?"

"Uh- I said 'tight spaces'"

"Really? Claustrophobic?"

"Yep. Your fears?"

"Love."

"Wait- what?"

Lance turned away, looking out the window, "I know, I flirt all the time but, I don't really understand it. I mean- I-I I don't know, this is stupid." Lance hid his face with his hands.

Keith's body moved on his own, he wasn't thinking, just moving. He went next to Lance and hugged him. He grabbed lance's wrist and pulls them away from his face, "Its not stupid."

Lance laughed, "yes it is"

"No"

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Lance."

Lance laughed and Keith got another warm feeling in his chest.

"Wanna come sleep with me?" The words came out before Keith could stop himself.

Lance turned red and stuttered, "W-What?!?"

"I-I mean, n-not like that, b-but like- sleep on the bed."

Lance turned to see if Keith was joking, he wasn't. "Um ok."

Lance got on first, than Keith. The bed was small and they were shoulder to shoulder, knee to knee. Lance turned one way and Keith
turned the other. Their backs touching. Lance's back was warm and Keith fell asleep.
