season one, episode ten
( the rock n roll suicide )

CHICAGO, 1977.
On October 4th, 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six performed to a sold-out crowd at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.
Ladies and Gentlemen... Daisy Jones and The Six!
It would be their final performance.
The whole band steps on stage, walking to their seats, or walking to their microphones, or placing their guitar straps over their heads.
She looks to Eddie who had been there before she had walked on stage, her being the final person to walk on stage. Her hair was set in a blowout, with a white, sparkly jumper suit, with flared-out bottoms.
The top crossed her neck, making the top of the jumpsuit look like a triangle.
She had planned this outfit for weeks, just to match with Eddie. Even before the breakup, he had no idea it was going to happen.
Warren had begun to play the count, then begun to play 'Regret Me.' The first number.
Her fingers strung through the electric guitar, and a sad expression lay on her face. Eddie had a black eye as he began to share an uneasy look.
EDDIE ROUNDTREE: ( He looks down at the floor and then at the camera )
AUDREY BELMORE: [shakes head]
GRAHAM DUNNE: If you had told me that morning it would be my last show... I would've laughed.
WARREN ROJAS: I was out having a good time man. I...I... I didn't want to see it.
KAREN SIRKO: ( She licks her lips as she tries not to tear up. )
KATHERINE OLIVÁREZ: If you told me, that would be the last time I took photos for the band... I'd get all the ones I could get.
DAISY JONES: ( Daisy stares at the ceiling and tilted her head. )
BILLY DUNNE: There's still a lot you don't know.

11:54 AM.
Standing alone, near the elevator, drinking out of a flask. Audrey glared intensely at Eddie who was 1: still pissed at Billy and 2: horribly mad at Audrey for what she had said.
"Here's your key." Rod whistled out, watching as Audrey quickly placed her flask away. He noticed her drinking as he handed her the key.
She grabbed the key before she nodded to him before walking away. "Sound checks at 3:50," Rod explained.
He needed Audrey to get there earlier, than everyone else, mostly her and Daisy, the two being the most important on the stage since everyone loved Audrey and Daisy to sing together.
She could hear Warren talk about Eddie's grandmother, "I saw your fucking grandma, dude. She was having a great time, all right?" Warren explained as he grabbed the key to his suite.
"Four o'clock. Soundcheck at 4." Rod could be heard as Audrey waited for the elevator to come down.
Eddie and Warren were heard behind her talking about Eddie's moment being stolen or talking about him and Audrey.
She clicked her tongue as the elevator came down, and she quickly entered the elevator.

SONG 2: KILL YOU TO TRY.
Audrey was tapping her foot to the music as Daisy moves her hips.
Billy returns to the microphone, singing the first verse of the song. Audrey sighed as she closed her eyes to the song, playing the song smoothly like always.
Audrey stepped closer to Daisy, the light shining onto Daisy and Billy more than the rest of the band in the back.
Audrey saw her fingers shine onto the light, finally able to be seen, Daisy brought her closer as she moved her hips to the song.

1:11 PM.
A knock came on the door. Audrey sighed as she stood up from the chair as she was watching television before getting ready for sound check.
She headed to the door and opened the door, as she noticed the woman.
It was her mother.
"Audrina, my love." She spoke out bringing her hands out. Audrey backed up: she felt hurt more than ever. I mean she left Audrey and Charlie out in the dust to run out with some guy she barely knew.
Her mother smacked her lips, "Audrina, don't ignore me now."
Audrey scoffed as she folded her arms to her chest, her blow-out hair had been just taken out of the heat rollers, and now shown the structure of her face.
Her mother, wearing a fur coat, sunglasses over her head, brown leather flared jeans and a white long sleeve had been trying to enter the room.
Audrey tried stopping her simultaneously but her mother broke through, entering the room and watching what was on the television.
She noticed it was a rerun of SNL, especially the performance of the band. The television was showing Audrey playing the guitar to Aurora, closing her eyes as she smiled at the camera.
"Why are you here?" Audrey asked, leaving the door open as her arms were still crossed. Her mother looked up from the TV and soon glanced to Audrey who had an unpleasant look in her eyes.
Her mother tilted her head as she smacked her lips, "I came to see you! I've missed you," Audrey knew it was a lie.
All of them were lies.
Audrey's mom didn't miss her, or want to see her, she just wanted money from Audrey.
She knew her daughter made a lot, and had money looking at her clothes, car, and home, which Audrey would soon get.
Audrey shook her head, "You don't miss me. You never did." She puzzled, dropping her arms to her side.
Her mother nodded her head slowly, "You don't believe me? I can show you that I miss you."
"How?" She shouted out, enough for a blond man to hear and walk into the room.
"You fucking left me and my dad," Audrey pointed a finger to herself.
Eddie watched from the door as he saw Audrey and the mysterious woman argue.
"You left us to run away with some man you barely knew! So, you show up here, saying you miss me, isn't showing that you do."
Audrey was now panting at her words as Audrey's mother had wide-set eyes, a glowering look.
"You don't know shit! You've never been in love, you wouldn't know why I did it."
Audrey gawked at her mother, as she now had a grimace look on her face.
"I am in love!" Her voice raised, "I moved to California for him!"
Eddie knew she was talking about him. "So yeah, I know some shit."
"You're a little ungrateful shit,"
Audrey was now glowering at her, her fist heading into balls. Eddie noticed this as she took a step back before she tried rushing to her mother.
Eddie yelled out, "No! Audrey, no!" He gripped onto her, holding Audrey from punching her own mother.
"Get off!" She tried pushing him off as her mother watched.
"Calm down first." He growled, "Then I'll get off." Audrey huffed as she was now breathing heavily, "Fine."
She moved out of his grip turning to face him before she glanced back to her mother. "What do you want, then?" Audrey shrugged to her mother.
Her mother stood silent as she watched Eddie grip onto her daughter tightly before anything else could happen.
Audrey had a curved lip, watching as her mother gulped, "Forget I came here." She roared as she stormed out of the room.
Audrey closed her eyes as she heard the door slam shut. She looked to Eddie who was now looking at her with a worried look.
She exhaled before she made her way to the sofa and sat down on it. Eddie walked his way to her, his hands in his front pockets as he stepped toward her.
He sat down after he reached her, placing a hand on her thigh, comforting her, as he gave her a soft smile.
She peered over at him before she began to tear up. His hands were brought out as she leaned into them, crying on his shoulder.
AUDREY BELMORE: ( She looks down at the floor. )
"You need to go." Audrey mumbled as Eddie sighed, "No, I don't." He pulled her out of his arms.
"I want to make things right,"
"We can't."
"Yes, we can."
Audrey shook her head. "No, Eddie we can't. Everything I did..."
She tensed up, slightly tilting her head she squinted one of her eyes before asking, "Do you think this wasn't a mistake?"
Eddie shook his head, "No. Definitely not." He grabbed onto one of her hands, "I got to do this with you. If you weren't here, it would've been one."
Audrey let go of his hand as she stood up, "Leave, Eddie." She placed a palm on the back of her neck.
Eddie stood up, furrowing his brows. "I said go!" Eddie muttered something to Audrey as she muttered something else to him which was making him storm off to another room.
It was Billy's room.

"I'll tell you how I'm feeling," Billy announces into the microphone. "but I always end up saying the wrong things."
From afar you couldn't tell if Eddie was looking at Audrey or if Audrey was looking at Eddie but they knew they were both sorry.
She looked down at the floor, her foot tapping on the floor, as she kept glancing up to Eddie who kept looking at her.
Sniveling had hit Audrey soon, sending her through hell that night, She had begun to get watery eyes, a few tears landing on the metal of her guitar.
Billy had glanced back to Audrey as she soon looked up at him as he announced the song.
She knew what he meant by those words.

1:38 PM.
Billy banged open the door to Audrey's hotel room, he stormed in there looking in every room for Audrey.
She had been in the bathroom, crying as a pregnancy test laid beside her. "Audrey!" Billy had roared out, finally making his way to the bathroom where she was.
She quickly stood up sliding the test in underneath the sink's wood. She had wiped her tears from her eyes, "You knew about, Eddie and Camila?"
He points a finger at her, Audrey tried to play it off, "Don't give me that dumb shit, Audrey. I know, you know."
She scratched the tip of her nose, "Yeah, so what if I did? I didn't want to put you through what I've been through. And-and you looked so happy with Camila, I didn't want to say anything."
"Well, you didn't have to. Your little boyfriend just told me everything."
Audrey scoffed at what Billy said, "He said it was a mistake, and it was never meant to happen."
"He's an asshole for fucking my wife!" Billy roared. "Oh yeah? Your wife is an asshole for fucking my boyfriend!"
Billy and she roared back and forth before she announced, "I'm done, Billy. After this performance, you can say goodbye to me." Audrey raised her hands from her hips.
"Because this band has turned to shit because of you." She pushed him backward sending him to the couch near the door.
"Oh yeah?" Billy jumped up, walking closer to Audrey. "You're fucking done, either way. Both of you. You and Eddie are fucking done! You're both fired!"
"Fuck you, Billy!" She pushed him back before she slapped and shoved him out the door. "Go fuck yourself."
She slammed it in his face as she rushed back to the bathroom, going back to the floor and grabbing the pink test, her eyes going watery again.
She had stopped the drinking right when they landed in Chicago, especially when Rod handed her the key to her suite.
AUDREY BELMORE: Fucking, Pittsburgh.
INTERVIEWER: Did you ever tell Eddie?
AUDREY BELMORE: Only when he came back.
INTERVIEWER: What do you mean?
