season one, episode four
( i saw the light )

"Hey, Steve Miller Band, The Dead? Shit, these guys are all here?" Warren announced as Graham leaned closer to Warren.

"Where are we?" Graham had asked as Warren pointed to the bottom of the paper. "Right there brother," Warren laughed as Graham joined with him. "Check it out." He showed it to Billy who leaned closer and smiled.

Billy whoops as Warren leaned to the window seeing all the people outside their cars, at food stands, and near the stage.

Ohau, Hawaii was truly beautiful. Of course, it was in the dirt, but sometimes the rockiest places can be beautiful.

EDDIE: We were on at one in the afternoon. But hey, at least we were invited.

AUDREY: It was something...

The band takes shot glasses in the back, "Cheers!" gushed Audrey as the tequila shot down her throat.

As Audrey placed down her shot glass, Teddy emerged with Daisy and a girl with a camera.

"Hey, everyone," Teddy announced. They all look to him as they furrowed their brows at the girl chatting next to Daisy.

"Daisy, who's this?" Audrey asked as she jerked her head to the girl. Daisy heeded over to Audrey who had her hands on her hips.

The girl that Daisy was standing next to was focused on Eddie as Audrey looked between the two. Eddie was chatting with Karen while Warren was with them but couldn't keep his eyes off of the girl.

"Dina, this here is Katherine, she works for you guys." Daisy addressed as she extended a hand. "You can call me Kathy,"

Audrey folded her arms before nodding, "I'm gonna go chat with the rest of the band really quick," Audrey retorted as she proceeded to the three, sneaking glances at Katherine.

Karen watched as Audrey did so, "You're looking livid, Dina." Audrey came closer to the three as she placed her arms onto Eddie's.

"She keeps checking out Eddie," Audrey proclaimed as Eddie let out a laugh, "She's checking me out?" He pointed to himself." Weird, I have a girlfriend. I don't think she'd like it..." Eddie trailed off instantly wrapping his arms around Audrey.

A grin plastered her face as her eyes began to narrow. Affection glowed in his eyes, taking in the sights of Audrey's grin.

That soon came to an end as Katherine walked up to the four. Eddie unwrapped his arms from Audrey as he extended his hand, "Hey, I'm Eddie Roundtree."

"Katherine Olivárez," She gaped as he let out a chuckle, "So you're our photographer that Teddy told us about?" Karen claimed as Katherine nodded.

"Yeah... Do any of you guys mind if I chat with Eddie for a few minutes?" She asked as Eddie shared a look with Audrey and Warren.

Warren went wide-eyed as he wrapped an arm around Katherine, "Hey, Kathy... have you met Eddie's girlfriend?"

Warren broke in as Katherine's smile faded into a frown. Audrey side-eyed Warren before her mouth set into a hard line before she set into a beaming smile.

"Yeah, I did," Katherine replied, as she moved out of Warren's shoulders leaving to go chat with Daisy.

Warren soon had sent Audrey a wink through his sunglasses before following Katherine.

"Looks like Super Warren saved the day." Karen bubbled as she took another shot of tequila. "C'mon, we're on soon," Karen patted the couple on the back as they saw Billy walk up to them.

"All right, huddle up, everybody." Billy started as they all come together. "All right, who are we playing for?"

"Roberto Clemente, baby." Warren puts out as Audrey lets out a laugh, "This one's for Mom." Graham added, "This one's for my Dad."

"Free beer," Eddie muttered which made Audrey snort. "Damn, right, Eds," Audrey replied, she placed a soft kiss on his cheek as he adjusted his guitar strap.

KAREN: Of course it wasn't just us they wanted on the bill.

"Pittsburgh on three," Billy announced as everyone started to place their hands on top of each other. "One, two, three," As everyone's hands were still in the circle they lifted them out before they shouted, "Pittsburgh!"

Karen pulled Audrey away to do a little handshake before they walk up the stairs, "Hold up...? Is that... Cheech Marin?" Audrey gasped as Eddie and Warren rushed over to her side.

"Oh shit, it is!" Warren replied as Eddie plastered a huge grin on his face. "Man... I'm gonna talk to him after we play to see if I can get some of that good shit," Warren explained.

Audrey and Karen let out a laugh as they watched the crowd cheer. "All right! We all know and love this next band from their hit single, 'Look at Us Now,'"

The crowd started to cheer as Cheech turned to face the four standing backstage.

Audrey gave a wave and a chuckle as Cheech nodded his head, "Let's give it up, for The Six!" He cheered as the crowd started to jump and mirror Cheechs' movements with his hands.

The band had smiled at Daisy as they passed her before making their way onto the main stage. Audrey made her way next to Graham's side, closer to the end of the stage, but not too far from Graham.

Warren had counted loudly as they started to play 'Flip the Switch,' mostly of the beginning of the song being played by Audrey. Eddie and Graham joined after her. After, the rest of the band joins in.

She stays silent for a few verses, tapping her foot on the wood as she sways her hips to Billy's singing. The crowd soon starts to clap their hands to the song as they followed Audrey's infamous hip swaying.

After their complete shortened version of the song, the crowd begins to cheer wildly as Audrey glanced backstage as she saw Daisy entering to the main stage.

AUDREY: Daisy is... not a patient person.

Daisy stands at the center of the stage, her arms held up high as the wings of her cover-up fly completely free. Audrey looked to Katherine who snapped a few pictures of Daisy and the band.

Katherine sent her a smile as she gave a thumbs up. She completely forgot about what had happened between the two earlier with Eddie.

Warren had told Katherine something that made her just forget all about it.

Audrey soon sent an apprehensive look to Graham who made no eye contact with her and glanced straight to the ground.

She let out a exhale as serenely smiled at the crowd. She watched as Billy yell at her, he whispered to her.

He held up four fingers which Daisy completely ignored Billy, "Aloha," Daisy speaks down into the microphone.

The crowd cheers for Daisy as Billy gawked to Audrey who shrugged quickly at him.

BILLY: She obviously did it on purpose.

DAISY: I'm not exactly, a patient person, just like Dina said.

Billy gives an annoyed look to Daisy, he motions to the band to play 'Look at Us Now,' Warren begins the symbol tap as Karen, Eddie, and Graham being to play. Billy begins to sing just as Daisy follows along a few verses after.

Audrey slowly nodded her head to Daisy's singing as she gives a smile to the girl closely next to her. She sent a wink as Audrey begins to play along to the song.

Katherine could be seen taking pictures of Audrey and Daisy smiling to each other as Daisy begins to jump
up and down to Graham and Eddie's guitar solo.

Daisy clapped to the song as the crowd follows after her. The song comes to a stop as Daisy wrapped her arms around Audrey as she giggled as Billy announced, "Daisy Jones, everyone!"

Daisy unwrapped her arms from Audrey as she brought her arms up letting the cover-up fly in the air with the wind.

BILLY: And that was the part she was supposed to get off the stage.

Daisy threw a lei that she was given when she first arrived at the festival. The crowd cheered for her as Billy and the rest of the band clapped for her.

Daisy went back up to the microphone adjusting it to her height. "You guys want me to stay for one more?" Daisy called out as the crowd cheers wildly.

Graham walked over to Audrey, "Why hasn't she left yet?" Graham asked leaning down to Audrey a little, "They love her." Audrey chuckled.

DAISY: They wouldn't let me leave.

Billy glanced to Audrey who now was looking at Warren as he counted, she soon gawked at Billy who nodded his head to her before she and Warren played the intro to 'Flip The Switch.'

Daisy picks up a tambourine slapping it on her leg as she walks over to the middle of Audrey and Graham doing a little spin between them before she walked over to Billy's mic.

The two sang and screamed in harmony. Katherine snapped a few pictures of the band, mainly Warren as she cheered from backstage.

"All right, was it just me, or was that, uh...?" Graham asked jumping a few steps down. "Not just you, dude," Eddie replied as Karen laughed.

Audrey watched as Eddie waited for her to finish coming down the stairs before she jumped onto his back as he carried her with him. "Come on," Graham replied as he chuckled.

"You were incredible out there." Karen rejoiced as Daisy gave a bow. "Every time you moved, they just lost it!"

Katherine smiled at Karen as she took off her camera, "Hey, guys I'd like to show you some pictures when we back to Los Angeles!" She cheered as Audrey glanced to her, "You mostly took pictures of Warren,"

Audrey wiggled her brows as Katherine scoffed, "Hey, I got some pictures of Eddie looking at you. He couldn't keep his eyes off of you when you were dancing," Katherine sang as Eddie let out a smirk.

Billy had pulled Daisy away as the two argued. Katherine snapped a picture of Daisy smiling and Billy giving a pinched expression to her.

"God, I love you guys," Warren replied as he grinned to them. "Addie, you were great out there!" Graham cheered as Audrey placed her chin onto Eddie as she was still on his back.

"Thank you, Graham," She replied a flawless smile lied on her face. "What about me?" Eddie gently placed down Audrey as he asked. "You were... meh." Graham and Audrey hooted to Eddie in sync.

"Rude," Eddie muttered as a camera crew had came up to them. Billy called the group as Katherine stayed behind with the camera crew.

They had asked a few questions about the band before growing into the details, "Your first single, and it hits number one. I mean, how do you top that?" The reporter asked as Audrey furrowed her brows. She pored over to Eddie, a staggered look on his face.

Eddie currently had his arm on the left side of her shoulder as she leaned onto him with folded arms.

Billy let out a chuckle as he glanced down to the dirt before looking up, "Well, this ain't our first single," Billy tucked his hair behind his ears. "but, uh... Yeah, I mean, we have an album out, Seven, Eight, Nine." Billy concluded as the reporter brought the microphone back to him.

"That's the one with the song?" He asked as Billy shook his head. Daisy interrupted, "I think we're just happy that everybody's digging the song, minus Billy." Daisy laughed. "And-and we're happy to be here."

Daisy flicked her cigarette as Billy gawked to her and cut her off, "Yeah. True, you know, it was, it was, uh great watching them sing our words. Uh, that was pretty incredible."

Audrey looked down unable to meet the camera facing the band. She sniffled as Billy and Daisy continued to go at it.

"So, what do you two have planned for an encore?" He asked as Eddie looked down, before letting his mouth twist.

Daisy smiled to Billy as she flicked her cigarette a couple more times before Billy went on, "Well, Daisy had her own stuff going on, and, you know, we're not really looking for..." He trailed off to give an exhale.

"Uh, look, as much as we loved having her sing on our song, uh, that was more..." Audrey let out a scoff as Eddie muttered something under his tongue. "...more of a one-time thing, so..." He tilted his head for a second. As Daisy let out a snicker before showing a scoff to him.

"Well, I for one am sorry to hear that." The reporter stated as Daisy inhaled she looked up from the ground her voice about to break, "Thank you," She nodded her head as the rest of the band stayed silent. "Thanks for your time."

They walked away as Katherine raised her brows before asking, "Could I get a quick photo of the band..?" She asked raising the camera.

"Daisy's not in the band." Billy groaned as Daisy rolled her eyes, "Sure, Kathy." Audrey announced from behind Daisy who stayed leaning on Eddie.

Katherine smiled as the band stayed in their positions showing no smiles, besides Warren who was smiling at the Olivárez girl.
