The Reaction
The zeta tubes announced the arrival of the Justice League, all of whom filed in looking for the disturbance. They spotted Arsenal and Kori right away, as the two were standing awkwardly next to the team. But Jason was hiding, waiting for his golden opportunity.
"Who are these two?" Green Arrow asked, looking between the two Roys before it dawned on him. "Another clone? Are you serious?"
Arsenal turned to Roy. "What does he mean, 'another clone'? How many Roys are there?"
"Too many." Roy huffed, noticing Jason slink out from behind the zeta tubes.
The team watched with as straight of faces as they could manage as Jason, light on his feet, ran up behind Batman and swiped his legs out from under him. They probably should've said something, but they were morbidly curious to see if Jason could actually get the drop on Batman.
Batman grunted as he fell flat on his back, the Justice League instantly going onto alert. That is, until they saw Jason standing over Batman with a smirk on his face. "Gotta be more perceptive, old man." The Justice League couldn't hide their shock at seeing Jason and, surprisingly, neither could Batman. Batman got off the floor and took a cautious step towards Jason, making the teen take a step back. "You're not going to hug me, are you?"
Batman shook his head in disbelief. "How are you here?"
Jason narrowed his eyes at Arsenal. "I'm here because someone doesn't know what proper sleep hygiene is."
"I thought I was helping!"
"By shaving five years off our lives and sending us to another universe? Mhm, totally helpful." Jason turned back to Batman and the Justice League. "If it wasn't obvious already, I'm not your Jason. He's still dead. I don't know if he will come back or if that only works in our universe."
"So you die in your universe as well?" Wonder Woman asked sadly, staring at the face of a boy she once knew so well.
"Yeah, Joker decided to give me a makeover with a crowbar and then blow me up for good measure." Jason shrugged. "Dug my way out of my own grave a few years later, Talia Al Ghul dunked me in a Lazarus pit, it was a whole thing."
"You're leaving out the part where you become a drug lord and try to kill Batman." Arsenal added helpfully.
"I wasn't a real drug lord." Kori and Arsenal gave him a look. "Yeah, okay, maybe a little bit but it was for a good cause."
The team and the Justice League stared at the Outlaws incredulously, not completely convinced this wasn't some group hallucination. Barry zoomed up to Jason and pinched his cheeks, zipping away before he was slapped by the teen. Arsenal laughed at his friends anger until it turned on him and Kori just sighed dramatically. "I'm surrounded by imbeciles."
"Hey, you chose to rescue me." Jason pointed out, looking away from his bickering with Arsenal.
"Yes and you decided to save Arsenal here from execution." Kori pointed out.
"Execution? What the heck is going on in your universe?" Roy asked, looking at his counter part with wide eyes.
"Long story. Anyways, are you guys forgetting the fact that I can just build us another machine to get home?" Arsenal pointed out.
"Seems their Roy got all the brains." Wally stage whispered to Roy, earning himself a punch to the shoulder.
Kori and Jason exchanged a look. "You don't have the same tech and this was a freak accident. How are we going to reverse engineer a freak accident?"
Arsenal chuckled. "I'll make do with what I can find."
"I don't like the sound of that."
"Me neither." Kori looked to Jason. "Why don't we just 'make do' here as well? Until Arsenal figures out our transportation home?"
"Because of a teeny tiny problem called the Untitled that only I can rid the world of, thanks to the All Caste being slaughtered?" Jason grunted, crossing his arms over his chest. "As it is, they are probably running rampant with us gone."
"I bet they exist here too. You can spend your time ridding this world while I work on our way home." Arsenal shrugged. "And Kori can help me or you or do whatever she wants."
"I hate to interrupt, but what is this Untitled you speak of?" Wonder Woman asked, looking at the three Outlaws with a curious expression. "Why must the world be rid of it?"
"They are pure evil and corruption." Jason explained. "And it is my duty, as an assassin with the All Caste, to-"
"Wait, wait, wait! Did you just say you are an assassin?!" Green Lantern exclaimed, staring at the teenage Jason.
"Part time assassin, part time drug lord, full time Outlaw. Anyways, I need to rid the world of this ancient evil. I swore an oath to my master." Jason glared at the Justice Leaguers, daring them to say anything about his life choices. None of them spoke up. Jason turned to his teammates. "So, Arsenal, you stay here and work on finding a way home while Kori and I hunt for Untitled?"
"Who said I wanted to hunt with you? I want to explore."
"Who said we would let you explore?" Artemis snarked.
"Are you going to stop me?" Kori challenged, eyeing Artemis who backed down. "Thought so. So, Jason hunts while I explore and Arsenal makes his machine. Any questions?"
"Who said we would let you hunt this 'Untitled'? We don't exactly condone assassinations." Green Arrow glared, crossing his arms over his chest.
Jason sighed very dramatically. "These don't count as assassinations seeing as they aren't human or alive but the embodiment of evil and corruption that I am simply sending back to hell. And if I don't, the world will become infested with them. So, you're welcome."
Oliver looked like he was about to snap when Batman stepped between the two of them. "Jason, you are not going to hunt anyone or anything. You don't even have a weapon."
"Oh yeah?" Jason called the All Blades, the blades appearing from where he drew blood and landing in his hands, a glare on his face. "Watch me."
