The next morning Leigh calls Jayden to ask about the dinner plans. She is thrilled that Harrison wants to see her again.

"I will pick up some movies on the way there, Jayden says. What time do I need to be there?"

"Actually, I don't know let me ask Chase and get back to you," Leigh says.

Once Leigh hangs up with Jayden, she calls Chase. "Good morning gorgeous," Chase says answering the phone.

Leigh can't help but smile when he calls her that. "Morning Chase. I just wanted to let you know that operation date night is a go. We just need to know what time to be there sir."

"Well, how about 6:00 ma'am," Chase says.

"Sounds good. I am going to get started on the dessert now since I will be busy this afternoon."

"Dessert? Can I come over and help you make it?" Chase asks.

"No, I have it under control. You will have to wait until after dinner for dessert," Leigh says giggling at him.

"Ugh come on Leigh please," Chase says.

"Nope, but I will give you a hint. I know how much you like chocolate so....."

The line goes dead, and then there is a knock at the door. Leigh answers the door, and it is Chase standing there in nothing but his boxers.

"Chase oh my god what are you doing here?"

"You said chocolate so I am here to help. I can do whatever you need, and then lick the spoon," Chase says smiling at her.

"You are crazy. Go back to your apartment before someone walks by, and sees you standing here at my door with no clothes on," Leigh says.

"What? I have clothes on," Chase says looking down at his boxers.

"Go now or I won't be bringing any dessert tonight," Leigh says.

"Hold on now let's not do anything crazy," he says backing away from the door.

"Oh, we are well past crazy around here. Now go!" Leigh says laughing.

"See you tonight," Chase says going back into his apartment.

Leigh gets started on the chocolate cake that she is taking over to Chase's tonight. While the cake is cooling, she starts to make the frosting. Just as she starts the mixer, she hears a knock at the door startling her, and chocolate frosting goes flying all over her. Cleaning up quickly, she goes to answer the door. Jackson is standing there newspapers in hand, and his smile turns into full out laughing at the sight of her.

"What is so funny?" Leigh asks.

Jackson walks in and drops the newspapers on the kitchen table. "You have chocolate on your forehead," he says smiling.

"Oh god I thought I got it all off," Leigh says embarrassed.

"I can help you with that," he says. He wipes the frosting off of her forehead with his thumb. Then sticks his thumb in his mouth.

"Uhm delicious," he says smiling at her.

Leigh rolls her eyes at him and goes back into the kitchen trying to ignore his flirting.

"You can spread the papers out on the table, and we will look thru them in a second. Let me finish this cake, and I will be right back with you," she says.

"You're making a cake? What's the special occasion?" Jackson asks.

"No special occasion, just dinner at Chase's. I'm bringing the dessert."

"Oh, really another date with the brother?" Jackson asks curiously.

"It is not a date Jackson. Chase and I are trying to play matchmaker to a couple of our friends that we introduced the other night. We are all going to hang out together again tonight, and then they are on their own after that," she explains.

"Okay, but won't that be kind of awkward for you and Chase if they are in the corner making out? I mean you two aren't together so that would be a little weird if you ask me," Jackson says.

"I don't think that will be happening with them just yet. That's why we are getting together with them again tonight, to help them get to know each other better."

"Sounds like a double date to me," he says sarcastically.

"Oh my god it is not," Leigh replies annoyed. "You should come and see for yourself that it is not a date. Chase and I are just friends!"

"Actually that sounds good. I didn't have any plans tonight anyway," Jackson says.

Leigh then realizes what she has just said. Oh shit, what did I just do? Chase is going to be so pissed at me, she thinks to herself.

While Leigh finishes the cake, Jackson looks thru the papers at the apartment ads. Leigh gives him her opinion on a few that he asks her about. He circles all of the ones that he wants to go look at.

Just as they are about to head out the door Leigh tells Jackson she will meet him in the car. "I need to make a quick trip to the bathroom," she says.

Once Jackson leaves she heads to the kitchen, and grabs a steak out of the freezer then heads over to Chase's apartment. Opening the door Chase can't help but smile when he sees her.

Seeing the frown on her face, he says "What's wrong did the stalker stand you up!"

Leigh rolls her eyes at his stalker comment. "No he showed up, and I did something really, really stupid. You're going to be mad at me."

Chase does not like where this conversation is going. "What happened Leigh? Did he touch you? I will kick his ass. Where the hell is he?" Chase asks furiously.

"He's downstairs getting the car," Leigh replies. Chase starts to head for the door. "No Chase he didn't do anything to me. I'm the one who screwed up."

"What is going on Leigh? Tell me now!"

"When he came over this morning I was in the process of making a cake to bring tonight. He asked what the special occasion was, and I explained our dinner plans with Harrison and Jayden. That's when he said it sounded like a double date to him. Then I blurted out that it was not a date. I said we are just friends, and he should just come and see for himself. I'm so sorry Chase. I didn't mean to invite him. It just sort of came out," Leigh says obviously upset with herself.

"Ok first of all take a deep breath, and calm down. I'm not mad at you, and everything is going to be fine. Do I want the guy hanging out with us all night? No, but we will make it work. I will go to the grocery store and grab another steak," Chase says.

Leigh lets out a breath finally relaxing, and hands Chase the bag in her hand. "What is this?" Chase asks.

"It's an extra steak for Jackson. I don't want you to have to go buy another one because of my big mouth. I really didn't want to mess up your plans tonight. Thanks for being so understanding about it."

"You're not messing up anything Leigh. You got backed into a corner and felt like you had to explain our relationship again. Maybe I should just sweep you up in front of everyone and give you a big kiss. That will give them something to really talk about," Chase says smiling.

"Probably not a good idea," Leigh says laughing. Chase loves to hear her laugh.

"So did you finish making that chocolate cake for me?" Chase asks.

"Yes, but remember you have to share it with everyone," she says.

"Oh come on do I have to" he whines.

"Well I could give it to you now, and bring over ice cream sundaes tonight," Leigh says.

"NO, I will wait for chocolate cake. I will share a cake with Jackson, but sundaes are just for you and me," Chase says seriously.

"Alright. See you tonight," Leigh says heading out the door. She kind of likes that being just their thing too.
