49) You never walked out when I was miserable that proved that you deserve me.

It seemed as if this visit to hospital will not end as now Catherine is examined by doctors who already said that Addar has lost his child. Catherine went through few tests and Addar was now waiting in doctor's room for reports.

Doctor came inside the room with her reports while she sat in her seat. An uncomfortable silence was in the room for few minutes. Addar was not ready to ask her anything as he was very scared. He wanted to avoid this. He had asked Sri to be with Harini so the old lady who took care of Jenny was with him.

Doctor was waiting for him to ask her about the test results but he was not going to ask so old lady asked the question to which Doctor replied, "We are really sorry. We don't know what happened or what caused it. But test results have shown that you wife can't have chi-"

She was interrupted my Addar who motioned her to stop. It took him three minutes to say, "You could have simply said if my wife is fine to go home. You already said my unborn child is dead. There is a reason why elders said, ignorance is bliss."

Doctor was stunned by his tone as she was expecting hurt but never anger. Aged lady knew that people hide their hurt with anger when it is unbearable. Doctor said, "Some people need this report if they are filing for divorce."

It was Addar's breaking point which made him stand up abruptly letting his chair hit the floor, "Do I look like someone who is going to divorce his wife because she can't give me a child! She is much more than that for me."

He stormed out of the room. Aged lady didn't even apologise to the doctor but followed Addar who was resting his head on the wall. He was punching the wall while banging his head to the wall. Aged lady ran to him and pulled him away from the wall but he shrugged her off. His cheeks were full of tears. She didn't know what to do to him.

Suddenly he stood still and wiped his face with a tissue. He slowly walked to Catherine's room. He went straight to her and hugged her. He said while she hugged back, "You are saved Cat. Our baby died. Today only I learnt that child birth is so painful. Lucky that you don't have to go through it now. I promise that in the future we are never having a child. I can't see you go through that pain."

Aged lady couldn't hold herself while she burst out crying. Catherine tried to pull out of the hug to see him but he was resisting. After a struggle she did notice his tear soaked eyes and blood red eyeball while she said, "For a guy who understands a girl enough to know what happens at that time of the month, I am shocked that you knew it now only. For a guy who wanted nothing but a family it's shocking that you don't want a son or a daughter."

Addar was speechless while she cupped his cheeks and said to his face, "I had always felt blessed that I got a guy who doesn't care much about sex but only about family. How unfortunate I am as I can't give the one thing he wants. Why had you not been like normal guys expecting sex because I am in a position where I can give only that, what do I have to give to you now? Divorce me Addar."

Her voice broke at the end while the aged lady slumped to the floor. While Addar regained his composure and said, "Yes, I don't care much about sex which is just one way to show love. To be fair, it is the least important thing in love. Love can survive without it. I care about love a lot. Most essential way of showing love is making me feel special. I feel special when you care least about the world and most about me. That is what I want. When you make me feel like I am the most important guy. When we ask each other's opinion before doing anything it makes me feel special. When you look up to my approval for things in your life it makes me feel special."

Catherine was shocked by his words and sincerity in his words while he kissed her eyelids and said, "Stupid Ravichandran thought child made us husband and wife. It's not a child or sex or I love you but special feeling which you get, that's what makes us husband and wife. You have never walked out of my life and I am not going to walk out of your life too. I will love you unconditionally and hold on to you but all I am asking is give something for me to hold on to or else I will fall into a deep hole."

Catherine couldn't even comprehend anything and she hugged him tight. They were beyond the point where hugging and kisses were needed to comfort. Real feeling of being loved is not when you hear I love you or kiss or make love but when a simple hug could calm you down. Addar and Catherine are in that stage now.

Catherine slowly said, "Ravichandran is not so stupid. He didn't want you to lose me. He wanted to hurt me and he did. Fact that I couldn't give you a son will always haunt me and he wanted you to see it all day. So divorce me Addar and save yourself from that pain."

Addar hugged her tight as much as he could and whispered in her ear, "You never walked out when I was miserable that proved that you deserve me. Nothing proves that someone deserves you more than not walking out of you when you are miserable. If you are with me when I am miserable then you have every right to deserve me. You didn't walk out on me so that proves that you have every right to deserve me. I am not going to walk out of you and prove that I deserve you."

Suddenly his phone rang while it flashed 'Ravichandran calling' Addar took the call and said, "Hello."

"After all these, you still greet me without a cuss word. You sure are a God man but in my world most vulnerable are the God."

Addar couldn't even create words as he could feel the venom dipping from his voice, "Your voice also proved that you think everything is done but my friend I still have one last trick left. One last pain is all left to kill your soul."

Addar had become dumb and his mind wished he had become deaf too but he wasn't so he heard him say, "Do you think these mentally retarded people could feel pain too?"

Addar was paralysed completely and he was much worse when he heard what Ravichandran said before hanging up on the call, "Wait Jenny, I am coming."

He ran to his car like a mad man while he was bumping into everyone and everything as only thing he cared about was his elder sister. He drove like a mad man on the road not obeying any road signals. He never bothered to close his car door even.

He ran along the corridor to Jenny's room. He ran into the door of her room which was locked so he fell down as he ran into the door. He ran to the window which was closed by a glass window which made it impossible for sound to pass through.

Ravichandran was inside the room with Jenny. He saw Addar and smiled at him while Jenny was not paying attention to window so she couldn't see him. Ravichandran had two strips of an electrical wire which when came in contact created sparks which amused Jenny. She was seeing it like a child seeing a new toy.

She never understood the seriousness of that spark but Ravichandran who understood it was motioning her to touch it. Addar was banging the door and shouting at his sister asking her not to touch it.

But like always curiosity wins. Jenny touched the spark which was just light for her but that light send electric waves through her. It threw her to the wall and she bounced off the wall like a ball.

Slowly Addar's eyes started to close on seeing what happened to his sister. Last image he saw before blacking out was of Ravichandran's smile which showed not just pleasure but pride that he had killed soul of Addar. Even his mother didn't believe that he could kill Addar's soul but here he did it which reflected in his smile.

Sorry I finished it yesterday but got into a small accident today so I am updating on evening.
