Author's note:

Thanks kaniharpanda   for Sending me my Christmas gift. I knew that giving my mail was dangerous ;)

I never thought you will send a morphed video of myself dancing with my celebrity crush. That was so thoughtful.

Did you waste your time doing this then studying?

And HOW DID YOU GET MY PHOTO?

Thanks for 6k comments.

The question for this chapter, Say one gift you received from your friends?

I already answered the question above.

22) After all I am an Indian girl, I am used to people judging me.

THIRD PERSON'S POV:

Catherine was sitting on her bed and Sri was on the chair near her table. Her room was just like a girl's room, neatly organised and well maintained. Her wardrobe was closed unlike boys whose wardrobe are always open. Her bed was neatly made and one of J.K.Rowling's latest crime thriller was on her bed.

Sri was examining her room and none of this missed his eyes. Neat wardrobe, books and clean room. Typical girl.

Catherine knew that he was judging her by her room. After all I am an Indian girl, I am used to people judging me.

She was clearly uncomfortable now. She was used to hear murmurs when she walked on the roads. She had seen men watching her like hawk. She felt like a prey in their eyes.

She never understood this society. Why do people have to wait to pass a comment in this machine world?

There are people who don't have a minute to analyse why their  son is crying but they have a minute to pass a rude judgement against a girl.

Sri was still examining her room and she was still seeing the floor. Her eyes were full of fears. She knew that Sri was a part of her past. A past which she had been trying with all of her will power to forget.

You can forget a memory which is in your brain but how can she forget something which is etched in every single cell of her body.

Worst place for a girl to live after going through a disaster is India. They will never let a girl forget her past because there are people who are always on her back to remind it to her.

Catherine was nearly scared. She had acquired a habit of panicking. She was now sitting with a man inside a closed room. If someone saw this then I am done.

Catherine cleared her mind and she said to him, "Can we go outside and talk?" He saw her and she was still outside. Her room didn't have an air conditioner and the fan was not functioning as the power was not supplied as there was a maintenance work.

He made himself comfortable on her bed and sat Indian style on her bed with his foot on her bed. He replied to her, "Somethings are better to be discussed inside closed rooms."

He never had any idea what the position in her house was. For him she was a normal daughter and the woman who was on the other side was a normal mom but it wasn't true. She was still seeing the ground.

Sri was still seeing her. He got annoyed and said, "Give up the act and see my face. It's not like I am pervert who is trying nasty things on you. You already know me or did you forget me?"

She flinched on his words. How could she forget anyone from her college? She was scared to face any one who knew her college life. It was first Addar and now it's Sridhar. Why is everyone following me?

His angry voice made it clear that she can't expect the same dignity Addar gave her. After all it was Addar, he knew me.

Dignity is something which she forgot. No one gives it to her. Even she thought that she didn't deserve it. Sri asked her, "Do you know whom you are going to marry?"

His question caught her with shock. A tiny bit of shock and relief came to her spine at the same time. He just came for Addar.

It's not him.

It was still a tricky subject. She was still trying to get used to the idea of marrying Addar. Sri was still examining her room and she felt uncomfortable so she said, "Wardrobe won't open on your gaze so can you stop examining my rooms?"

Sri paused for a moment and saw her. She could clearly see the anger he had for her. He was shifting while sitting. The sweat which formed in her body was due to both the lack of power and her fear. He asked her while moving his legs in her and pulling the bed covers with his leg, "Why should I examine your room?"

She already knew the answer. It might not be the same reason why those strangers see her room from any place available. They are seeing her room to get a glance at her when she is undressing herself or trying to catch her watching po*n or something worth blackmailing her. She answered, "So that you can judge me."

His head snapped up to meet her and she could clearly see the anger in his eyes. She understood that the sweats in his body was due to his anger too. His fists were closed and he was continuously shifting in her bed which might be due to his anger. He said, "I don't have to judge you now. I know what you are. I judged you in our final year in college. I can easily pass my judgements on you and I have observed enough of you. I know your true colours."

Catherine couldn't help herself from flinching because of his words. A horrible feeling came to her body with horrible flashes of her past. His cruel smile. Taunts of all these old man. Rumours which were spread by these aunties. My Dad and the only guy who knew what happened. The bed cover was now completely crippled.

She said in a broken voice, "It was Addar." He replied while punching the bed lightly, "Do you know that he is the same guy whom you rejected in the rudest way. How do you plan to reject him now?"

She saw him with shock. He wanted me to stop this marriage. She was getting more tensed as time progressed and she replied, "I can't stop this marriage. I can't deny to Addar's Dad. He believes me." Sri was getting more red with anger if it was ever possible.

Sri said with irritation clearly visible in his voice, "Belief! It is not something which is new for you to break. You should have got adjusted to your liking to break people who believe you. You have already broke quite a lot of people." Sri was shaking his head at her.

Catherine was silently going to a panic attack. Her mind was getting more flashes of her past. Her mind was going to those horrible moments on her life. Sri might have said that referring to Addar but those words made Catherine to go many others she broke. I was rude to Addar but there are many mistakes in my life which are worse than Addar.

Sri was waiting for her to answer but he was not getting any. Sri got angry and leapt out of the bed like a tiger pouncing on its prey. He came towards Catherine knocking a chair out of his way and came near her. He said, "You are still same. You never changed from your college days after those horrible things." Catherine's mind was running away to the worst things. Does he know about those days? Will he say to Addar?

Sri was near her. She could see his sweat which were a result of his anger and he could see her sweat which was a result of her fear. He said, "When I asked you to stop the marriage, you never thought about Addar. If you have said that you might marry Addar for him, I would have been the first to ask Addar to marry you but you are still the same Catherine who rejected him. You still don't care about him."

Catherine couldn't believe her eyes. He wanted her to love Addar. Does my soul have the strength to love anyone now? I can't love anyone now.

Sri went near the door and looked back at her. The room was messy. The chair which he pushed down was still down. He made her bed look messy. He just stared at her and said, "I thought he will get love when he is married. He will never love you. You took his happiness once and if you marry him then you will make sure he doesn't get it forever. Do you really care about him?"

He didn't wait for her answer. He turned back and opened the door. Her mother was sitting in the couch directly opposite to the door. Her eyes saw the mess in Catherine's room. She also saw Sri who was sweating and her eyes lingered on his first shirt button which was unbuttoned. She took a towel near her and threw it at Sri.

Sri caught it at the last moment before it reached his face and he was annoyed at her gesture. He wanted to shout at her but before she could say anything Catherine's mom said, "At least wipe your face."

Sri was confused. He didn't remember her acting like this when he came. What's wrong with this family?

He wiped and kept the towel on the couch. He walked out of the house. Catherine's mom came inside and shouted at Catherine who was still standing in the same place, "What were you doing?"

*****

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

How was the chapter? It's 2:45 AM. If it is boring I am sorry.

What do you think about Sri?

What do you think about Catherine's mom?

Ask me whatever question you wanted to ask me related to the book. I will answer even if it is the biggest plot twist but I will answer only the first five to ask.

I am too much into this book. I asked Meghu_die_Beste  to read my first chapter of my next book "Cupid's search for love." I wrote Addar in that book. She had to point it out after she read. ;)

Do you think that I can cast RANBIR as ADDAR?

Any ideas for Catherine, Sri, Harini?

What do you think about the length?

How do you think I am describing things? Any suggestions on that.

Take care be safe and stay blessed.

-Yagappar, your bro.
