I was being tortured by my exams. I am really sorry. I could have updated a note saying about my exam but I felt scared to say that.

I have two exams to write. I am in a terrible state now. I am not getting hungry. My hair is wild and I have been sleeping at an average rate of 3 hours per day for two weeks by now.

My state capital is surrounded by water and army has been sent to rescue people. I am praying for people who are there.

The biggest insult is people are trying to gain something political from the disaster. Even court has scolded them. Chennai city mayor has said that, "Water is not allowed to stay at a place for more than 4 minutes."

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Addar was standing near the glass window in his office. He could see the whole city from that position. The view was spectacular as always. Addar still remembered the first time he saw the view. He didn't want to see anywhere else other than that. He wanted to see it throughout his life but now the view was just ordinary. This is how life functions. Your mind always cherishes something when it is new. After sometime you will understand that it was just ordinary.

Trick is to accept that every pleasure is temporary in life. Nothing is permanent in this life.

Some people force the pleasure to stay with them but it ends up as a curse.

Our brain knows it but does our heart realize it?

Is our heart pretending to be ignorant to all this?

He heard a knock on his door. He saw his friend Sri come in with anger in his face. He didn't wait to sit. He said, "When did you plan to get married? You never said to me."

"I never agreed to marry so don't have any dreams."

Sri watched him for a moment. His fake anger was long gone. It was replaced by concern for his friend. He came near Addar and squeezed his shoulder. He said, "Marriage is the only oasis in this desert called life. Don't miss it."

"Don't act like my Dad? I had enough."

Harini entered the room. Addar asked her with anger, "Are you spreading a rumour that I am going to marry?"

"I just said to your friend."

"Just stop it! How can you all expect me to get married?"

He had enough. There is a reason why he feels lonely. People don't feel lonely when they are physically alone. People feel lonely when they are mentally alone. Addar was feeling that now. Nobody understand what he thinks. Nobody is accepting his thoughts.

He stood up and removed his tie and kept it in his chair. He unbuttoned the first button in his suit. He went to the window and stared at the sky. Sri and Harini were waiting for him to say something.

He broke the silence and said, "I am scared of all these."

"Marriage is not a crime. You will get a girl to love you and take care of you like a child. You could live for her and she will live for you. Think about the moments you could spend with her and the family which she is going to give you."

"Accurate theoretical definition for married life." Addar said this and started to clap. He continued, "Can you say the practical definition?"

They were silent, so Addar said, "Let's see a case study and try to understand married life practically. Sri's father has been dominating his mother as she is not working. Your parents never have time to meet each other as they are busy earning this so called money."

Harini and Sri didn't have an answer for it. Addar continued, "People are asking Girls to study so that husbands will respect them. See! How pathetic it is? Wife needs money to earn her husband's respect. What does she need to earn his love? Where is that 'you can live for her and she will live for you' come? It seems like 'I will respect you for your money and you respect me for my money'. This is what marriage is nowadays."

He continued, "What did my Dad get for loving my mom? She was taken from us when we needed her. I had to see my Dad who was acting like he lost an organ of his."

"Addar, what happens if your life is different?"

"Oh possibility! You are asking me to bet on my life. You want me to give my perfect life to a girl and see if she breaks it or not. Why can't I keep that life to myself?"

"I know that you are in pain. What if she has some medicines to cure that pain?"

"What if she has a knife to hurt me more?"

"Life is about trust. Trust your father in this. He just wants to see you happy. Every father wants that. He is trying so hard to make you happy."

Addar couldn't stop laughing at the end of the words. He was clutching his stomach. He controlled himself and said, "That's really unnecessary. If he really regrets the time he left me alone then ask him to spend some time as a father to him."

His last words showed his anger and his eyes were red. He was clutching his shirt to suppress his anger. Sri and Harini were stunned too. They have never seen him talk furiously about his father.

Addar continued, "You are saying a family gives comfort and happiness to me. I am his family so why can't he show that happiness to me? He never contacted me to ask if I had my dinner or breakfast. He is just calling to ask if I am ready to marry."

"It's just men's nature. They definitely don't know how to take care of children and all. It is nearly rare to find some men who knows to take care of a child like that. It's mostly the mother who asks all this questions."

"But I don't have that Mother. I feel like he is trying to push me out of his life like everybody else."

Harini came and hugged him and started to rub his back. Sri came and stood near them with concern in his eyes. Harini cupped his cheek and wiped his tears with her thumb. Addar didn't realize that he was crying till that moment.

Addar pulled away from the hug and said, "I will marry the girl my Dad chooses."

Sri and Harini was shocked. They never expected this. They didn't want to say anything and make him regret his decision.

They slowly went to the door. Addar started to see the sky again. Harini stopped near the door and saw him. She felt really sorry for him. Don't worry! You said many examples on how hurting a marriage can be, your married life will be an example on how comforting a married life can be.

Harini turned and left the room but Addar couldn't believe what he said. I said that I will marry a girl.

Last time I cried was in college. I didn't cry till today. Is this some sign from nature that my married life is going to be full of tears?

I am managing the biggest company in India now, Can't I manage my life with a single girl?

Let's see what life has for me in my married life too?

But who is that girl?

May be I should have asked about her?
