Ghosts from the Beginning 

It's possible that Naruto and Sasuke are soul brothers. Since Indra and Ashura's 'ghosts' never left the world, and stayed with the living, from generation to generation some fates appear to be similar:

Hashirama intended to stop Madara once and for all 

Jiraiya considered Orochimaru, too

Yahiko vowed for peace; Nagato revolted 

Obito was a loser to Kakashi's coolness

Naruto wanted to be Hokage, too; Sasuke wanted nothing but destruction to Konoha
