Gay marriage has been legal in Canada since July 20, 2005 and continues to be legal and accepted. With Canadian prim minister, Justin Trudeu, participating in a pride parade himself. I know lots of people who are both supporters and members of the LGBT community. Canada was one of the  earliest county's to accept this and legalize it.
