A Promise

Continuation..

"Do you understand the situation now,
  Mr.Saotome? Mikaze needs Ms.Emily
  right now. You can't take them away.
  If anything bad happens to Mikaze
  because of you separating them,
  you'll be the one responsible for
  him and Aine's death."
The professor said with a serious face.

"Hmm.. alright."
Saotome turned around as he spoke.

"That's great. Very well then, thank
  you for listening and accepting. I
  will leave for now. Goodbye."
The professor waved as he walked away.

Mean while...

"Hey Lily, I was thinking, why
  don't we get married?"
Ai said calmly.

"M-M-MARRIED?!"
Surprised, Lily accidentally yelled.

"W-What..? Don't you want to?"
Ai titled his head and watched
Lily's reaction.

"N-No! Of course I want to marry you..
  I'd love to marry you. You're the only
  one I want to marry... but Ai-kun...
  we're not ready for marriage yet XD"
Lily laughed with a frown on her face,
being worried by Ai's reaction.

"Hmm... you're right. I guess I just
  am in a hurry. But I promise to you..
  I will marry you. Someday. When
  the right time comes. For now,
  you just remain mine. And I'll be
  yours too. I promise too that..
  If I had to, I will scream it to the world..
 How much I love you."
A smile slowly spread across Ai's
face as he slowly thought about it.

"P-Promise..?"
Lily blushed as she asked shyly.

"Yes, promise. Here, let's
  do the pinky-swear."
Ai nodded then raised his
hand, offering his pinky.

"Okay..."
Lily giggled and locked
her pinky with Ai's.
"I also promise you the same."
She smiled as she whispered to him.

However, someone suddenly
interrupted them from behind.

"K-KYAAA! O__O"
Lily was surprised and
held on to Ai suddenly.

"P-Principal?!"
Ai asked while raising his brow.

"HOHOHO! I finally found you two.
  Well.. well.." Saotome coughed twice.
"I'm alright with your relationship as
  it is right now. However, I only want
  you to do a little something, okay?
  I want you to keep it as a secret
  from everyone else."
He told them with a serious expression.

"Got it. Lily and I don't need anyone
  else to know about us. We're happy
  just being together."
Ai responded right away.

"Aww Ai-kun.."
Lily muttered and blushed.

"I see. You two really are in love."
Saotome said as he fixed his sunglasses.
"And now... I want to tell you two.."
He suddenly sounded even more serious.

".....?"
Wondering, Ai gave him an
expression filled with unspoken questions.

"W-What is it, principal?"
Lily gulped nervously.

And then Saotome showed a gentle smile.
"Take care of each other. Love is powerful..
  It can be destructive.. but only if you don't
  treat it properly. That's why, you two must
 stay strong. Just fill each other with love.
  And the two of you will be happy."
He said in a calm tone of voice.

"P-Principal.."
Ai and Lily's eye widened because
of that unexpected reaction from Saotome.

"Yes. We already know that.
  Thank you, principal."
Ai smiled at Saotome.

"Thank you so much!!"
Lily hugged Ai and then
thanked Saotome.

Saotome just gave them a
light smile and then walked away.
Leaving the two alone.

"Isn't that great Ai-kun?
  Your career will still go on! :D"
Lily said in a cheerful tone.

"Yes it is! I am glad. Music has
  become a part of my life too,
  although you're the whole."
Ai said as they continued walking home.

"W-Whole? What?"
Lily didn't get what he said.

"Hahaha, you're so cute."
Ai laughed, "I meant... you're my
whole life. Music is just a part."
He said.

"Oh! I see.. haha XD You're the
   same to me too, Ai-kun."
Lily smiled as they held hands
to walk home together.

Lily kept smiling while
they're walking home..
Obviously, she's very happy.

"Our promise."
