HELLO THERE, EVERYONE! I'm willing to bet you weren't expecting this one, huh? Well, actually you could very well be expecting this one since I mentioned it earlier, but here it is officially! THE STEAM POWERED BOOK OF ONE SHOTS!

Like I said, this takes a different approach, it's an AU basically, so expect to see some crazy shit just like you're about to read right now as the title gave away.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions about this one, and don't go crazy if one day this book is here and on then other I've deleted it. This is basically a test, if it goes ok, wonderful, otherwise, I'm not gonna be here killing you of cringe. So... Let me know what you guys think!

"All Might is awesome!" "When I get my quirk, I wanna be a hero just like him!"

Those words echoed in his mind. The words uttered by his childhood friend, a long time ago. Now, they're a distant memory of a long forgotten past.

The burning sensation on his arms were once a problem, now, they're a little more than a nuisance. The burn scars from using his quirk recklessly, without holding its devastating capabilities back. Hunched over the counter of what seems to be a bar, from all the different kinds of beverages stacked on shelves.

Dressed in a sharp attire, white dress shirt, black dress pants and shoes. A waistcoat with Steampunk accents and a pocket watch. To complete the set, a pair of white gloves.

He shook his head, sighed deeply.

"This again?" He closed his eyes shut. Rubbing the side of his forehead. "Get out of my head..."

The sound of steps on the wooden floor broke the silence, the door behind him opened up revealing a lizard looking guy, armed with a sword made from various blades and knifes on his back, red mask wrapped around his eyes.

"Boss... They found the kids." Spinner said. "They're at a secret camp in the middle of the woods, 1 hour by car from here."

"I see... " his hand reached something in his pocket. He pulled out a small pocket watch. "Have you informed Shigaraki?"

"Already done."

"Tell the others to get ready, we'll move out soon."

"We?"

"Yes. I'm going with you. There's no way I'm missing this."

"If you say so." Spinner closed the door and moved out."

He finally got up from his seat, adjusted his hair and grabbed a neat victorian style coat to match the rest of his attire, wrapping it around his shoulders, and finally a brass oxygen mask and goggles.

"So, it's finally time for us to meet again..." he turned back, grinning with excitement. "Bakugo..."

THE STEAM POWERED VILLAIN!

Kaito made his way out of the League's hideout. The Vanguard Action Squad were already waiting for him to join them outside.

"So, you're coming with us?" Dabi questioned, shooting a nonchalantly look his way.

"Haizy!" Toga hopped his way, clearly happy to see him joining the squad. She hugged him tightly. "I'm glad you'll be with us!" She was on her tiptoes looking up.

"While I'm not against the idea of you joining us, I must ask why this sudden change of heart, my Steam Powered Friend?" Compress questioned.

"I'm sure you'll be of much help out there! YOU'RE USELESS!" Twice gestured his actions the Twice way.

"I'm sure you would all be fine out there without me. But this is personal." Kaito replied, a chill, dead tone in his voice. "Let's go."

As the Vanguard Action Squad reached the Training Camp, they managed to find themselves a spot overlooking the woods, almost too perfect to meticulously come up with a plan for their raid. From what they've learned, there are currently two classes present in the camp, and at least 6 Pro Heroes taking care of everything.
The classes are currently doing some kind of 'scare game', so there's no better time to do this than now.

"We'll need to cause a distraction, keep the Pros occupied." Kaito spoke up. "Magne, Spinner, make sure the Pussycats stay away.. Dabi, use your flames to make sure nobody gets too close, Twice will go with you to make a clone. The others, well... Do your thing, make sure Compress gets his hands on the prize."

"Who cares about a plan! Just let me loose!" Muscular was hype.

"Shut your mouth, crazy bastard." Dabi interjected.

"You're the amateurs I'll be working with?" Mustard questioned.

"And what's with this freaky suit?" Toga questioned her mask and items.

"What about you?" Compress questioned, turning his attention to the steam villain.

"I'll be going with you. Make sure everything runs smoothly. Now... disperse!"

And the villains broke off, heading different ways.

Not much time after that, half the forest was on fire, the other half covered by Mustard's quirk. Using this opportunity, Compress and Kaito headed into the forest to proceed with the plan.

Seeing Tokoyami's display of power, when easily taking down Moonfish, Compress decided to improvise, to capture the birb boy, leaving Kaito to proceed with the plan alone.

It was like destiny put him there, facing those two. Todoroki and Bakugo.

"Another villain?!" They stopped seeing the Steam Powered Villain ahead in their path. Todoroki didn't hesitate, using his ice to try and stop the villain... to no avail.

The steam villain removed one of his white gloves, letting his devastating power loose.

Kaito fires a cloud of steam, hot enough to melt the ice like it was nothing, completely negating his attack.

Bakugo was shocked watching that, he knew someone with this quirk, a long time ago. He then, even going against their plan of not using explosion or even Todoroki's fire to fight the villains, to avoid setting another fire to the woods, advanced with a blast, ready to attack the villain.

"DIIIIIE!" Bakugo yelled explosively.

"No, you idiot!" Yelled Todoroki, seeing the pomeranian flying at the villain, ignoring their plan. "You'll make another fire in the woods!"

Kaito braced himself for the impact, as Bakugo hit him with an point blank blast, engulfing the villain in a cloud of smoke and cinders... or so he thought.

The smoke slowly cleared the way, revealing a brass coloured metal forming a heater shield, protecting the villain from the blast, intact, only with a few scorched marks from the attack.

Bakugo gaped, wordlessly, surely his attack would at least blast the villain away, but it didn't do nothing. The brass shield retracted into the villain's skin, revealing a very dead pair of eyes under those goggles.

In an instant, it threw Bakugo back to his childhood, he remembered those eyes. He sweatdrops, a cold feeling creeping throughout his body, dryly gulping at that sight, it couldn't be, it can't be.

"Bakugo!" Todoroki shouted, bringing him back to reality, but it was too late.

The villain this time encased the distracted Bakugo in a brass suit, he couldn't move. The villain then followed with a steam blast to distract Todoroki as Mr. Compress claimed their prize, turning Bakugo into a blue marble.

"We've got what we came for, Haze! time for the final bow!" Said Mr. Compress flashing the two blue marbles between his fingers.

Out of nowhere more students from class 1-A and class B joined the fight, taking the two villains by surprise. A blast from Aoyama's navel laser knocked the marbles off Compress hand. Falling from the sky came crashing down another student, Shoji, snatching the marbles and running away.

Annoyed, Kaito took to the skies, using his steam to fly. While on the air he raised his hand up, fingers bent up.

"Steam Powered ANNIHILATION!"

He fired multiple beams of compressed steam, raining down upon the area. Attacks so powerful, the students had no chance but to retreat. As he descended again, one of the students around caught his attention. Purple hair, earphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. He aimed his quirk to attack, but something held him back. He hesitated.

"Huh... What a lovely melody..." He chuckled. "Maybe in another life."

The rest of the League joined the two villains, Mr. Compress managed to hold one of the marbles, and as Kurogiri's portals opened around he released his quirk to reveal Bakugo, helpless.

"Bakugo!" Todoroki and other students fired their quirks to try and stop them, but it was too late. The villains had won.

"Nice work leading the Vanguard Action Squad... Atsuhito." Said All For One. As always he's not present at the League's hideout. The old television broadcast his audio only.

"It was nothing... I even got to see an old friend of mine."

"How about your recovery?"

Kaito raised his shirt sleeves revealing the burned arms.

"Cellular Reconstruction... It's a fine quirk. I can go all our without holding back... I'm not useless anymore. Thanks to you."

"I see... Make sure you take care of our guest. Soon we will shift the balance of society and a new Demon King shall rise to take over what's left of it."

"It will be done."

"If only Tomura had your commitment. But he will get there soon enough. I'll contact you soon." And the television flicked off.

Kaito groaned, cracking his neck, stretching his arms. "So annoying..."

"What about the kid, Haze?" Spinner questioned.

"Tell them to bring him here. I want to have a chat with my old friend."

"Right... And what about All For One? You're not really going to follow him, right?"

"All For One's ambition clouds his judgement. Society will fall, yes. Just not the way he intends to. We will be kings, don't worry." Kaito stopped, thinking about his next move. "Gather the others."

"Just pray you'll be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of he building!"

Those were Bakugo's words, he never thought he'd actually do it. None of them thought.

A second later and the whole League was present at the bar, along with a Bakugo chained and in shackles, everything to not allow the blonde to use his quirk to escape.

Shigaraki tried to convince the guy to join the League, but Bakugo practically spits on his face, denying the offer right away. He simply ignored Shigaraki as he glared at Kaito. At where he stood he couldn't really discern a face, the villain was in the cover of darkness, so he just barks out.

"You there! Bastard!" The villains looked over. "Your quirk..."

Kaito chuckled. "What about it?"

"Someone I knew had a quirk just like yours, a long time ago." Bakugo looked down, saddened even if a little. "Is that you? Atsuhito?"

"Heh..." He stepped out of the shadows, Bakugo recognized his face, his biggest fear came to be, it really was his childhood 'friend'. "In the flesh!" Kaito noticed the look on his face. "What? Kacchan? Surprised to see me? Is that the reaction I get meeting my old pal? I expected more!"

"No...- Bakugo's voice was shaky, he couldn't believe his eyes. "This can't be happening. IT CAN'T!... It's not real..."

"Oh, but I'm here to tell you it is! And I'm VERY real... I'm the realest person you're ever gonna meet!" He noticed Bakugo's demeanor, his saddened, no, more the devastated look in his eyes. "Don't be sad, Kacchan! It's not your fault! You couldn't predict this!"

"Why are you doing this?! You wanted to be a hero! Just like Deku and I!"

As soon as Bakugo mentioned his name, Kaito snapped, aiming his quirk at the pomeranian. Toga instinctively had to jump in and stop him.

"DON'T SAY THAT NAME!" He yelled, the anger could be felt in his voice. Kaito then stopped, composing himself. "Just don't... He's dead... He's not relevant anymore."

"Not relevant? He was your friend!"

"Exactly... He was. But I wasn't his. I wasn't there to stop him from... It doesn't matter anymore. The dead are part of the past."

"I was wrong to treat him that way. Both of you..."

"HaHa!" Kaito perked up, smiling, like his personality took a complete turn. "That's my favorite part!" He wrapped his arm around Toga's shoulders, looking around the members of the League. "See? Now he regrets it! Now you regret it!" And he smile faded from his face. "Because your actions had a consequence! That's just how the world works, Kacchan! See, my friends here were all mistreated by our so called 'heroes', monsters wearing colorful outfits claiming to fight for what is right, but that's on the surface! Deep down they're all just as bad as we are... Just as bad as YOU are..." He stared into Bakugo's soul for a second. "Now..." He snapped his fingers, adjusting his shirt, Toga puts his coat around his shoulders. "I see we found something your size, but just to be sure." He used his quirk to reinforced the cuffs around Bakugo's arms. "You're gonna join our little group. We'd love to have you by our side."

"I would never... You know me that much."

"Yes, yes I know, Kacchan. And that's why we have ways to make you change your mind. We don't need your cooperation, just your image. I can just picture...'U.A's Rising Star joins a band of villains', lovely!" Kaito laughed. "Take him away now..." he said snapping his fingers.

And the villains did, but Bakugo had one final thing to say.

"Steampunk!" He yelled. "That was your hero name! Deku chose it for you! What happened to Steampunk?!"

Kaito stopped, looking down...

"Steampunk is dead..." And walked away, leaving the others, only Toga followed him.

"What now, Haizy? What do we do?"

Kaito seemed distracted. His mind was somewhere else, for some reason he remembered the face of that girl during the raid. She looked scared, and for some reason he couldn't attack.

"Haze!" Toga yelled, bringing him back to reality.

"Huh? Sorry... I was just thinking."

"What do we do now? That guy looked troublesome, I don't think he's gonna join us."

"Oh, my sweet Toga... We have ways to change his mind... We just need to break it first." He looked into Toga's eyes, his hand grabbing her by the chin, pulling her into a kiss, surprising her, but she's not against it, quite the opposite in fact. As they broke the kiss, she looked into his eyes. Those dead, cold eyes, a lovely sight. She blushed.

"Now go... Do your thing. I know you can do it." He said.

"R-Right!" Toga hopped away.

Kaito made his way to the rooftop of the League's hideout, overlooking the city, the wind blowing his coat, the lights of a busy city in contrast with the night sky is a beautiful sight, even for what's about to happen. He remembered Bakugo's words about him once wanting to be a hero, but that now is a long distant memory, forgotten. A grin creeped on his face as he felt a chill in the air, like something was about to happen soon.

"Ah, yes... The Symbol of Peace..." He lets his steam flow. "I will... Destroy you!"
