Yay.....
So I wake up, annoyed at going like most kids my age, but this time I felt something was off. Clothes, breakfast, and a half hour later I ended up walking to Garfield High School. Most people probably only know my hometown of Seattle cuz of iCarly, or the giant needle. I looked up at the needle from afar, it's pretty easy to spot. Though I wish I had a life like the girl from iCarly. The suburbs are fine, I like having a neighborhood and a front yard compared to the apartment my family and I lived in before, but Carly's apartment had two floors, a studio, and she had a little bedroom. Huh, I can go for tacos on a stick right now.
Fantasy aside, I was wondering where Siryon was. He's basically that person who you grew up with but then as you went to middle school, you saw less and less of him. I really wanted that to change when we ended up in Garfield. And fate decided to stab me in the back by giving me no classes with me but lunch, and gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Though to his credit, we eat together when he's not hanging out with his friends. Some of the girls find him ugly and now you know why I don't have almost any friends besides him. He's cute in his own derpy, fun way. It's not like I like him or wanna spend more time with him or anything like that. I'm just lonely, that's all.
Speaking of which, I finally arrived at the school entrance, walking to and looking in the large body scaled mirror. As lazy I could be, my twin curls looked fine, and honestly I looked pretty good without makeup. Depression isn't my strongest point, but fighting acne is the one thing us as human beings needs to team up against. Well besides racism and bullying but people always get mad whenever I bring up either one. Is feeling like being isolated a form of bullying or is that just in my head. Then again, I'm not the nicest person to be around, but it wouldn't help to be noticed or cared about by someone.
Anyways, I got to my locker and was getting ready for gym classes, when all of a sudden a bunch of girls fangirling at the top of their lungs strong enough to rip my ears from the hallways emerged. When I looked amongst the hundreds of students in my way, I saw what they were looking, and judging from the chatters, I immediately recognized it was a new student, probably a transfer that everyone was swooning over. Sure enough the crowd started moving away, and with a bunch of people who clearly need a drink of water, I saw him.
I gazed into his eyes, after getting a glimpse of his dark sexy outfit, his perfect attire that perfectly pale malnourished skin. Once I saw him, I knew....he was just another in the faceless crowd of losers and attention seekers and just moved on with my day.
However, he turned to me, paused, and smiled. Maybe he was shocked or something, there aren't a lot of black people in Seattle. Huh, something iCarly also got right.
I try not to be judgy. After all, it would be uber hypocritical of me to do so, especially with some of the douchebags out there. But there was something off about him. When I inspected his smile, one or two of his teeth looked rather curved, jaded, and oddly fang like. It almost looked like a vampire. Almost, those don't exist. Right?
So I grabbed my gym clothes from my locker and headed to the homeroom when all of a sudden a fist hit the locker in front of my face. When I turned, his face was directly right in front of me. The only thing turned on was my flight or fight.
"Whoa my guy, are you going to let me pass?"
"I saw you staring at me." He spoke with this arrogant tone that sounded like a jock who could score a goal or anything, but I heard a weird crack that made him sound a little nasally.
"I wasn't. Everyone just lost their minds at you and I wanted to see what was up." I gently tried to push him aside but he wouldn't budge so I took the time to look at him much closely. I could see his boobs, I mean pecks, I mean man boobs staring out of his shirt. Though oddly enough the shirt was closer to his chest than his stomach. Maybe he was one of those lanky types that could lowkey beat the crap out of someone. His face was something I could see the appeal for, scruffy dark black hair, black eyes, that Casanova smile.
I just wasn't interested.
"I can see why", he replied. "I get that a lot."
I couldn't tell if he was being full of himself or dickishly honest. He just seemed really stubborn. And his breath smelled.
"Anyway, can you let me pass? Class is going to start soon."
He started raising his other hand towards me.
"I mean I would but when I see a beautiful girl, I can't stay away."
Okay...this is getting really creepy right now.
"Okay then. So you'll follow them to the ends of the earth."
"Of course."
"Well, you'll even follow me when I take a shit?"
That completely unnerved him and he covered his mouth at the thought, moving his other hand.
"Well, think about it, see ya", I quickly spoke as I started skipping away from him as fast as possible.
"Wait", I heard him yell from behind. It looked like he was coming after me, but all of a sudden, the lights up the hallway, blinding a lot of people. And honestly, I'm less surprised that it happens every day, but more shocked by two things. The first is that the principal still hasn't gotten anyone to fix it to just turn on with a switch. The second is that this guy starts moaning? Couldn't tell if he was in pain or in a mood I definitely don't feel every now and then. Um, anyways, all of those thirsty excuses for peers start helping him up. The light, people covering him and sending him to the nurse, and his intense stare at me made me realize one thing.
Someone finally had a crush on me. And for the first time, I was not okay with that.
And also, he's a vampire. Well this is going to suck.
I was laughing at my pathetic excuse for jokes but immediately felt like something bad was about to go down.
